I loved Batman, Witcher 3, Axiom Verge, Chroma Squad. But honestly?
Bloodborne is my jam. That thing clicked with me on a visceral level and in my opinion, it's easily the best so far. Looking forward to Fallout and Metal Gear though.

Jared is my favorite person at IGN. Along with Daemon, Brian, Marty, and I'm not gonna lie Max is starting to grow on my as well. But Jared just seems like a genuinely, good person. Such a nice guy. Love that he gets face time nowadays. I love listening to him speak. Great guy overall.

Colton McKinney agreed. I wish we could get Collin and Greg back with Marty and Daemon. Jared is a proper amazing genuine nerd, really knows his stuff.

Noah Hamid I don't like the idea of GOTY, I mean they are 3 fantastic games right there. But in terms of scope, I'd say MGS 5 could be the biggest game this year
i really like kyle bossman and i think a collaboration between GT and kinda funny would be so interesting

Bloodborne without a doubt. The Witcher 3 has combat that just didn't seem to grab my attention.
The saturn was the jam, so was the dreamcast. Maybe not the best consoles of there generations but man I loved the games
So far. Bloodborne. Reminds of skyrim vs dark souls vs skyward sword vs batman year. I think it will be between the witcher, batman, fallout 4, bloodborne, mgs5.p etc.

Surprised they didn't give Bloodborne more of a presence. It's definitely my pick so far. Then again, they're not really 'Souls' guys.

I agree with colin with dying light but i really had a good time playing the witcher an mabey im alone with that but i like the combat and exploring
You aren't alone. I just bought the witcher (level 11 btw), but all I do is exploring and side quests. The combat is a lot better then most open world rpg's. Btw dying light is fantastic

I put over 999 hours into my copy of Pokémon Y (it just stops there I think it's more to the likes of 1,500 hours) because I binged on pokémon breeding like crazy. It was pretty hard on my 2DS, it died not to long afterward while I was playing Omega Ruby.
I'll say that Xbox does have the strongest line up this fall (BUT) they will not outsell ps4 but will close the gap then in 2016. Xbox already has Gears 4 , Quantum Break, ScaleBound , Crackdown and Recore then throw some awesome Indies in that mix and its already a amazing 2016 for Xbox and if sony pulls another 2015 (Exclusives) then that gap will get even smaller or they will outsell ps4.
Baytuh It's hard to judge really. Games like Quantam Break and ScaleBound look good on paper but they might be pretty terrible. Look at Rise and Titanfall. Don't get me wrong, Titanfall is a great game but it lacked so much substance that it failed to help Xbox at all. Rise had it's own problems. Not "terrible" but it wasn't a system seller either. Quantam Break looks interesting but I'm kinda "meh" on it. Same with Scalebound (mostly because we haven't seen a lot). Gears and Crackdown will sell just because of what they are but they are games that will appeal to Xbox fans (i.e. the people who already own the console) or people like me who have both.
It's not that PS4 has any system sellers either, outside of Bloodborne because Souls fans (cross-platform) jumped all over that but they are in a good place too: Until Dawn, Rapture, Helldivers, Disgea 5. Not too shabby either.
The amount of all-nighters I have playing call of duty is fucking Unfathomable. I don't even pay attention to the time. Me and my friends just play until the sun comes up.

The Witcher 3 ended up running away with GOTY awards for the entire year. I think for most people being so dense was a positive and not a negative

Just a few things though.
From what I've seen of Boogie's videos, he's very concise, articulate, friendly, well-meaning, smart and knowledgeable in the area of gaming.
I'm not subscribed to Boogie, I've watched many of his videos and I base my opinions solely on great observational skills.
I completely disagree with Colin on The Witchers' combat. I feel like this game doesn't rely on leveling like other RPG's and instead skill and understanding is your reward for experience. You can't just hit everything until it dies. Leveling is important since your gear has level requirements, but as long as you can cause damage, you can overcome any odds. I killed a level 46 Griffin when I was only level 31 because I got good and I prepared with the appropriate gear and tonics. At level 5 I would get killed by level 10 enemies pretty easily, beacuase I was still an amateur.
I agree with Colin's outlook on Sega and their bizarre mystic. I loved the Genesis back in 1993 when I was a child playing Sonic. Not long after that Sega was no longer relevant to me, not even really as a publisher. The Sonic games haven't been relevant since about 2000. I'm surprised to see Tim thinking Sega/Sonic was relevant or even "good" up until a few years ago. Try 15 years ago. Just my opinion.

Honestly Greg, finish the Witcher before you rate it. The story really builds up and if you all guys that didn´t finish the main quest rate it like this you would just miss a point of it. Story is a main part of this Game so a rating without playing it is not a good rating.
I've been playing through Kingdom Hearts to catch up on the series and while I haven't gotten around to all of them yet, of the "spin off" games I would definintely recommend Birth By Sleep. The gameplay holds up very well in my opinion and has been more fun to actually play than both KH1 and KH2.

Picked up Arma 3 on the steam summer sale. Put in 200 hours and havent looked back! ALTIS LIFE IS FUCKING AWESOME.
After a while, the Bat-Tank sections grew on me. I know I'm in the minority in this. I actually didn't like the Batmobile parts, but I suck at videogame driving.
Big Difference between Sonic and Mario, Mario is a basic platformer, Sonic is a speed based game. It's hard to keep a game style that revolves around superspeed relevant and yet different. A Mario Galaxy type game couldn't happen... Sonic would be like a constant Mario Kart, just keep running. Maybe if they made a Sonic World game where they have certain levels, a speed based level with Sonic, flight levels with Tail, basic platformer with destruction for Knuckles... even that would be a MEH game
So if you want to use Leaping Tiger, you have to have a Facebook. I guess I'll have to miss out.

Arkham Knight, Deathstroke, Bane, Killer Croc all are characters Batman could have great boss fights for! Origins KILLED it with Bane and Deathstroke boss fights. Arkham Knight v Batman would have been epic. My only let down :/
Witcher 3 hands down so far no contest for me Batman was just more of the same old formula trying to splash some new paint on it and all that dlc. An Dying Light was cool but some of the glitches really pissed me off and replay ability was okay. Only other contest for that game for me is MGS5, Person 5 if it makes it and Fallout 4.

I love that most people aren't saying Arkham Knight because that game was NOT that great. Very disappointing however Bloodborne has been the best game this year :D
I put the same amount of hours into Dragon Age Inquisition as Witcher 3. I don't think it is nearly as dense as Colin seems to think it is.
Dragon age isn't dense though, they just force you to grind out meaningless objectives to earn enough XP/power to progress the story. Far Cry could be a 40 hour main quest if they did what Dragon Age did. I beat DA in like 50 hours and I'm gonna estimate 20-25 hours was quest content and the rest was closing rifts and collecting shards and what not. Witcher probably has 100+ hours of straight up questing content and an additional 50 of treasure chests and monster nest type of side objectives.
That's totally not the point of what I was saying.

Gotta disagree with you Colin. I put in over 30 hours into Dying Light and all I did in was swing a sword and dropkick zombies. Kind of monotonous in my opinion. Batman's is more substanstial.

Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast was a good game. Not great but good.
The Sonic Advance games were good.

Bloodborne for the win (so far)! Witcher 3 is a close 2nd. DA:I was good, but some of the gameplay mechanics (war table with mobile-like timers, and boring MMO-like X of Y quests) were turn-offs. Arkham Knight was disappointing for me (story was lackluster, way too many tank sections). Looking forward to MGS V (GZ was short, but I replayed the shit out of it).

Bloodborne has way better gameplay than Batman, Witcher, and Dying Light by far.
I was following Colin up until the Sonic / Contra thing. I think he is waaaaay off about that. If there was a great Contra game and a great Sonic game out there, Sonic would trounce Contra. And I cant stand Sonic anymore. But its not even a comparison worth making.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Greg and Colin while they were at ign, but why the hell did they leave if they are doing the same shit with basically the same amount of restrictions? I don't see a very much difference in what they say or do. It's almost the same as when they were working at ign. They even follow an intro that is structured like the play station podcast of ign when Greg miller hosted it.
