Volume on the intro was on point
Alex Bailey i think it's too low. if the first thing you hear after the intro is way louder than anything in the intro, the intro isn't loud enough. music in an intro should be louder than anyone's normal speaking voice.

I don't know if it's accurate about the killer app. The problem is some of the best games on the platforms, games that real gamers would love, are indies, and don't get as much coverage. I bought my PS4 for Velocity 2x and Transistor, and I don't regret it for a second. Those games are special.
I can here Michael from Achievement Hunter screaming in my head right now as I watch this episode.
Also, where games like Super Mario 64 were popular, I rather enjoyed the alternative of Banjo Kazooie at the time. In other words: Super Mario 64 just wasn't for me.

The future of gaming is very unpredictable. That's exciting. I don't think anyone could accurately predict where we'll be in 15 years. We are certainly in for some suprises.
This years E3 looks like it's going to be awesome. Maybe developers are learning how to keep secrets?
Amazon already has a console. The Amazon Fire TV has an Amazon created controller and they have a bundle together. Its the Ouya like console Greg was describing.
I would love more games like banjo-kazooie, Sly, and Ratchet and clank.
tony hawk games have had projectile modes since thug (or maybe before). the point is that it's a *mode*. it doesn't sound like it's going to be part of the main game. it's always just been a multiplayer mode where you can shoot fireballs at other skaters.

What happened to Alfredo?
At the moment when Tim backed up the Wii U and gave us that cheeky thumbs up I think he became my favourite. As much as yes the IP are the main pull for Nintendo and I hope against hope that NIntendo will make a system that will be powerful and attract third parties (though I know they won't) I love the Wii U, its a brilliant system, in my opinion.
1:02:40 PS2 had a DVD player which was very new at that time. its what helped kill the dreamcast. since it didnt have 1.

did any of you guys actually use the sixaxis grenade controls in uncharted for any significant amount of time? because i VERY much prefer them over using the joystick, even in the sequels.
it worked for me because, after a while, i got a feel for the aiming and could pull out a grenade with it already aimed perfectly (from tilting the controller beforehand), and throw it immediately. this is actually faster (and more fun) than using the joystick to carefully aim after taking out a 'nade.
idk, i just preferred the sixaxis controls and continued to use them in the sequels. i get that you don't like that they were forced on you in uncharted 1, but really, it's a nice feature if you take a few minutes to get used to it. there absolutely was a reason for including it in the game-it's the superior control scheme. but yes, it takes a little while to get the hang of.
On the topic of 3D platformers, please give me another god damn Ape Escape. I'd eat that up in a heartbeat.

I think a killer app is relevant, if only for a brand new console launch.
I think the NX will decide Nintendo's future, assuming it's a console. If the NX is a huge success they will probably made another console after but if it's another failure, like the Wii U, then that'll be it. I do think they will continue to make portables though because they dominate that market, they always have.
***** Even with Wii U's low sales, Nintendo is the healthiest of all 3 companies/departments. Actually, I think Nintendo might be the only one making consoles down the line.

If that ever happens, that would be the day I stop buying any videogame related product (at least the new stuff at the moment). My computer will never be my game console. Unless they make some other kind of device that can download the games and play them on tv. That would have to do I guess.
I think I described the Playstation TV lol. But some kind of steam box would be nice. Maybe that's the future for "game consoles". The same as today but without the discs: download-only games.

I'm having difficulty understanding due to mumbling. Particularly the guy in the middle. It would be good to maintain a consistent volume in your voice I think.
Nintendo games only on Xbox, god that is a depressing thought.

Game I love: Persona 3.
Feature I dislike: The dungeon. Tartarus gets boring really quickly. Repetitive floors and all. Not that it creates hate, but it could be better.
Persona 4, my favorite game of all time, makes it better. Still, it's good, but not great. I trust they'll nail it with Persona 5.
Also: The Ghost Six, that's me!
I never enjoyed the N64 3-D collectathons like Donkey Kong 64.
Give me more linear 2-D games like Shovel Knight or the recently announced Bloodstained and Mighty #9.
if Nintendo made games for Xbox, that would be amazing. T-T id be able to play Fzero and Halo.
Where's Nick been recently? I want more Scarpino! I know that he's not as knowledgeable about games, but I'd rather listen to him than Tim any day.

I barely ever used grenades in Uncharted because of that horrible mechanic
I've been saying this since the first Wii came out and I hated the hardware: nintendo and sony should merge in the sense that nintendo become exclusively developers, making games on playstation consoles. we can have pokemon on the vita and mario on the ps4 etc.

Colin you're crazy if you think Microsoft is going to sell off xbox. Even if the profit margins are slim, they still make money and regardless they wouldn't just bow out like that. If you've been paying attention to windows 10, they're integrating xbox features more so than ever before into their desktop and phone operating systems. Xbox and microsoft will be fine. Sony might have some financial problems but they'll probably be fine too. It's Nintendo I worry about. They can't keep making mistakes because you're right, the wii u is an abomination.
