The lyrics are talking about a woman who is ready to renounce the material world and wordly love for true love of the divine who is referred to as ‘yaar’ a casual world for a friend or sometimes a lover in India. ‘Sone yaar di gali’ - choosing to take the path to the beautiful lover. The lyrics initially sound like they are referring to the fact that the woman has gotten mad in love for a handsome man but soon people discover this is another level. Based on what little I know of quwwali singing, that's the whole idea; to let yourself be totally consumed by the music and the energy being generated and just lose yourself in it as a means of connecting with the Divine. The Nooran sisters are just amazing, aren't they?
