I can't generally tell the difference myself unless it's super obvious (like if the samples just sound sample-y, like average keyboard drum sounds instead of sounding real) but I think trained drummers have an ear for the subtle differences from stroke to stroke on the same instrument, and things like that

There are many albums that incorporate metal and rock elements with Sufi elements. Look up Rang De Basanti, Rockstar and Queen. All albums of bollywood film. This mashup is def done really well which does a direct layering of metal on sufi music which works great!

I love these Nooran Sisters, amazing stuff, honestly it makes some crushingly good metal. Sufi Metal has to be a whole new thing if it isn't already. Does remind me of both the "in the style of" ones you've done, but mostly System of a Down. "Sufi of a Down". 1:38 that groove is INSANE. This song is like my favorite metal song that I've heard in forever and I don't understand the words. I should find out what they mean.
Sufi metal has been there for many many years. Especially in Pakistan, with bands like Junoon making it very popular since the 90s have a huge established fan base for the genre.
I went to India in the early 90s. Traditional music, especially with the sitar is mesmerizing. It can literally put you in a trance. But THIS is next level - honestly some of the hardest metal I’ve heard in YEARS.
Dude! Have you been in touch with them at all? It would be so cool if they recorded something exclusively for you to add to. Both you and the sisters show such a passion for music. It would be a great opportunity.
They are established rock stars, who have toured the world and rose to meteoric fame from an very young age. I can't imagine getting in touch with them would be easy. Andre would need outside assistance, or someone who has some serious pull.
