I love that about the game it made the story better. I know the USG Ishimura was a better location, but i like dead space 2 just a little bit more than dead space
@@edgyboi1995 Dead Space 2 is only hard because the game throws 40 black necromorphs at you every room you enter, not because it's challenging or requires you to think in any interesting way. I'd say Dead Space 1 is scarier too, there's just something about Issac not being voice acted and not seeing another human character for missions at a time.
@@bestintheworld0624 but the original dead space doesn't really cause you to think much either, it has afew puzzles which are all easy to figure out the difficulty in these games is obviously going to be how much the game throws at you enemy wise
I think the first was the best since all the horror just made me wanting to fight through all the brutal violence and death around me and keep pushing towards the escape by beating all the tasks and the bosses. The boos fights were also cool because they required you to keep your cool and concentrate. I mean, I used to almost have a heart attack everytime I met a boss in a game and just panic when I got attacked, but after deadspace I now always stay calm when I fight bosses. Now I love to fight bosses so I can challenge myself.
Dead Space 2 by far, because your weapons are more versatile, more content and suits, much more balanced difficulty, Isaac can now talk, having both Horror and Action perfectly together, and new unique Necromorphs. The only bad qualities are not enough unique bosses like the Tormentor and Ubermorph, not enough infinite unlockable weapons like the Handcannon, and the elite suits not being 30% damage resistant like the Military from 1 and no return of the 60% damage resistant suit aka the Tank Suit.
I think Dead Space 1 was the best of the games. I love the whole horror feel of the game. To be honest Dead Space 2 went a little bit overboard with the difficulty. It was fun at first but then when you get to the second half of the game it starts to get ridiculously, frustratingly hard as fuck.
GarthStone {The Blonde Man} after the part where Isaac sent Ellie away that's when it starts to get really hard. There were a bunch of necromorphs everywhere all over the place. And don't get me started on that fucking regenerating enemy! Just when you thought you were safe by escaping into the next room he chases after you room by room if you don't hurry fast enough. But not only that you have other necromorphs to deal with while that guy is chasing after you. I hated that part! I went fucking insane after dying so many just to get to the marker. Thankfully he doesn't follow you into the room where the last shop and bench are.
Skalopulton301 haha well for me it was not that hard, and I finished the game in every difficulity except for the hardest one, and the regenerator was in dead space 1 as well!
GarthStone {The Blonde Man} his design was different. And do you want to know one thing I don't like about the guy from DS2? He shows up for the final 2 chapters and you don't even get to kill the bastard! In Dead Space 1 he wasn't much of a pain because he doesn't chase after you room from room, I mean he does chase after you but not in the next room, we see him in one of the early chapters (Chapter 5) and we don't encounter him again until a couple chapters later, and we actually get to kill that fucker in DS1 which was so fucking satisfying, I even said to him "Burn Motherfucker! BURN!"
Some people get surprised when I say that ds2 was my favorite. They say that the first one was just scarier meaning better. But maybe it's just me but I never really found any of the games scary after a while. Like I can see why people could find the games scary but after I was about halfway into my first playthrough of the first game I just didn't get scared anymore. And I just enjoyed the action more. (but this doesn't mean I don't like all the dead space games.... except for 3, fuck ds3.)
Dead Space 1 had by far the best atmosphere. Dead Space 2 had the best controls and best major jump scares. Dead Space 3 had the best unpredictability but the scares weren't as scary. The one thing it does as well is tie up a few of the loose ends, however this isn't the original vision for the franchise, this is explained in interviews where they explain that EA forced them to deviate from the horror aspect and focus on online co-op and Visceral were basically bullied into doing what EA wanted. For story development (in terms of current story) Extraction is the way to go. Dead Space Martyr (novel) was probably the best at explaining where the red marker came from and gave a REALLY good explanation of the Unitologists. Dead Space Downfall (anime movie) gave a great explanation of what happened when they found the red marker. Dead Space Aftermath gave a great understanding of everything leading up to Dead Space 2 and gave a really interesting element of the story from different prospective. Dead Space Catalyst... I dunno I haven't read much of it yet... To get the full effect of that universe you have to dive into all the media in the series. Now if you ask me what was the best piece of Dead Space media.... I would say Dead Space 1 and Dead Space Martyr. Dead Space 1 had the best feeling and the most fear. You didn't know what was going on, Isaac didn't talk so you and him were one and the same. You felt what he felt. As for Dead Space Martyr, you find out so much that expanse the universe of Dead Space and really gives you something to dig into as far as the lore goes. You get to understand the motivations of Michael Altman, you get to understand a bit of how the Marker works, and you get to discover more than what you thought was possible. Regardless of what games or parts of the universe you like most, there's definitely something for anyone who loves sci-fi/horror. The entire franchise is interesting and horrifying. I would definitely encourage anyone reading this to dive into all media formats for the series and explore it. It's very well worth the time and money.
Sephiwolf 44 I could not explain it any better, you should have done thid video, and you are right, EA wanted visceral to explain what the necropmorphs where, and because it was explained the creep factor was really dumbed down because we know what they are now, but I started with dead space 2, so for me that part was the most scary, but I think that is logical
fun fact, i ve only played android version of dead space :D I ll just start from scratch on pc, dead space 1 which i guess is usually the best of a series....
Another milestone in gaming was FEAR (fps). Apart from the horror theme which was implemented so nicely, it was mostly promoted for the extreemly well made AI of enemies (at least for the time being).
No way, dead space 2 was ight. The suit was badass "security suit" but a "horror game" depending on jump scares is hands down so damn unoriginal and cheap you kidding? DS2 was still scary without jump scares, those creatures that look like raptors and peak around the corner are terrifying but the first ones atmosphere alone was scary not saying the second one didnt but the first one man....is the cake winner. They started goinf overboard in the second one, and im not even acknowledging the obamanation in which is the 3rd one, im not even calling that a dead space game. Im hoping for a remake of the first one and god i hope he holds the guns the way he did in the original first one and not the way he started holding them after the original

DS1 = Horror
DS3 = Action
*DS2* = Horror + Action
For me Dead space1 was the best and it is still great game
Dead space 1 was the best, I liked Dead space 2, but I didn't like the fact that they added cutscenes and that Isaac wasn't mute anymore
I love that about the game it made the story better. I know the USG Ishimura was a better location, but i like dead space 2 just a little bit more than dead space
Even i didn't like the addition of cutscenes but giving Issac dialogues was a step in the right direction
@@ishaangupta5936 exactly... Cause all other games That time was like that.

Dead space 2 is my fav of the franchise. And it's by the far the scariest out of the three.
Chris96 Orrante nah dead space 1 is the scariest but I still agree the best one out of the 3

Dead Space 2 was my favorite the same way Aliens is my favorite in the Alien franchise.
The Alien franchise form a perfect parallel to the Dead space series in terms of quality.
dead space 2
aliens (alien 2)
avp 2
i have played dead space 2 like 3 times but still it never gets dulled
