SubhanAllah This opened up my eyes widely when you explained about why the specific finger of your hand is called ring finger and the shirk behind it.

Thats why my parents never wear rings for the purpose of marriage. Just as accessories and it is Sunnah of Prophet SAW

. what if its bought just as a gift, but not necessarily holding the strict concept of it?

Fatwa issued by Sheikh Saalih al-Fawzaan
With regard to the wedding ring, which is worn on the occasion of marriage, this is not one of the customs of the Muslims. If it is believed that it generates love between the spouses and that taking it off and not wearing it will have an effect on the marital relationship, then this regarded as a form of shirk and is a kind of jaahili belief. Based on this, it is not permissible to wear a wedding ring under any circumstances....
1st... because it is an imitation of those who are no good; it is a custom that has come to the Muslims from the non-Muslims.
2nd... If that is accompanied by the belief that it has an effect on the marital relationship, then this is a kind of shirk. La hawla wa la quwwata illa Billaah (there is no power and no strength except with ALLAH)
    Remember, ALLAH knows best.

But what if a woman just wanted to wear it because she likes it? Because she's a woman and she thinks it looks pretty and it's a gift from her husband (a normal ring I'm talking about not a wedding ring) and if she wanted to wear it on right hand to be safe. Please answer

I'd rather my husband wear a ring (sign of marriage) so women don't drool over him, him being a doctor and women drool over handsome doctors anyway.

What about wearing the Wedding Ring in an other Finger because it would oppose the Kuffar and at the same time Rings are generally permissible.

is it permissible to "gift" a ring as a wedding gift to my wife as a wedding gift? as a gift or beautifying object to my wife?
and not take a ring for myself?
