Nah, look up "gypsy cops" in the US, they screw up in one town, quit before there is any legal accountability, move to the next town and they are hired again... Rinse and repeat over and over. The guy will just get hired elsewhere with none the wiser. The system is very broken.

Fun fact! If a slime happens to eat a crewmate, you can see their hands and body get thinner-- this is because the person INSIDE the suit was eaten, not the suit itself.
This means that it's not the crewmate as a whole that's worth 5 credits. It's the suit. Employees are worth nothing.

If I remember correctly, the Acorn Cop Incident was a call response about a report saying there was a man with a gun in the vicinity. After the arrest, the acorn thing happened and the immediate thought of the cop was that he got shot because the only one near him was the suspect in the car. Granted, he went 1 to 11 really fast, you can at least tell that this is how tense cops are during these responses they do on the daily. They simply don't know when they'll just suddenly get killed by a hidden gun or melee weapon, and it takes a toll on those not fit enough for the job just as much as those who are fit for the job.
Dude did you watch the body cam? They searched him he had no gun, cuffed him and put him in the back seat. The acorn dropped and then he unloaded his entire gun into the back windshield of his own patrol car at the suspect he just searched and cuffed.
