Some of these comments are hilarious. As Karl Urbunsku said these are not extenders/repeaters but power line adapters with a power through option. They rely on hard wiring your router to the first receiver, which when plugged into a power socket will send your data signal through your house electric circuit to the second receiver. These work with any provider as long as your home doesn't have dodgy wiring and multiple circuits (if you have more than one consumer unit), just like any other power line adapter. The newer model is gigabit rated but not sure of the older model (might be 100mbps). Also, you can add more to create a bigger home network.
Mate, these are not Wifi extenders.. Mini connectors are used to provide an ethernet port where wifi (internet) signal runs through your mains and then out the other end where the connection is required... One must be connected to the router to provide the actual signal. Second may be used wherever. The ADD button you keep pressing (you should hold it for about 8 seconds instead...), is to add additional connectors around the house....
@Redeck Rosey did you watch the video?, I was showing people broadband speed issue I got at home and equipment I received from BT that helped to sort out the issue. People will not understand this if it is a half a minute video.
They work with all our Hubs, without having to run an Ethernet cable all the way around the home. They do this by sending your broadband signal through the electrical wiring in your home. They also have a power socket on the front, so you don't lose a plug socket on your wall. We recommend you use this socket to plug in any plug boards or your BT TV box itself. This product supports On Demand, Catch Up and Extra TV Channels through BT TV. The BT Mini Connectors work with speeds of up to 1GB so clearly you don’t need to connect it to the hub 😂😂😂
Is there a limit to how many of these you can use? Can I connect multiple devices through Ethernet to the one device? I have about 6 different devices in my house that I would want to connect to it, most in the same room. Wi-fi just doesn’t cut it.
@RabbitHole try to contact your service provider as i am not sure how many device can be connected to it. I received the mini connect from BT when I had WIFI connection issue
not sure if i missed something - did you only plug it into the appliance end - not the hub end? Needs to be plugged into the hub as well doesnt it??
