    Hi Robert, it was great to finally get to meet you and experience your superb Spectacle Factory today, and I was over the moon to choose and order the Reykjavik Eyes Gotl and the Ahlem Rue Bosquet's in blue.. I can't wait to wear them.... a fantastic service and a fantastic experience... I still like the blue LA Eyewear statement glasses... hmmmm, maybe I should... :)

    I am planning to get Zeiss lenses for the first time. I am looking forward for an amazing experience but also focusing more to improve my driving experience. Should I go for Smart life or Drive Safe option?

    Gast glasses look like good quality but they aren’t bold enough for me. I checked out their website because of this video. I wasn’t blown away by anything they had on offer. I’m a big fan of Etnia Barcelona. They have some very unique glasses. Great video as always. Have a great day.

    I'm not discounting the fact that these are great frames for the price, but I would argue that if you hold up the Anglo American against a Barton Perreira, the colour/visual texture of the acetate (particularly in tortoiseshell) is at least somewhat noticeable (probably more so to a discerning eye, and not to the general masses). The same could be said for the Gast vs a JMM. That being said, the price difference is huge, and they have their place.
    I'm not knocking on the value frames, I have a Gast myself and it's a really nice frame.

    Helpful video but it seems none of these brands have a website in order to buy glasses online. Would be useful to know other brands that actually have websites available for purchase.

    Hello,
    due to me getting information from the videos on this channel, I have tried an unprecedented number of frames before buying mine - and have been able to circumbent the Luxottica barrier that surrounds anybody who doesn't do online shopping when it comes to choosing their frame.
    However, I have sadly found that the more design-oriented, stylish brands tend to make frames that are less comfortable to wear than the other brands.
    Following your suggestion I tried Portrait frames and Barton Perreira frames: the first are narrow when it comes to head width accomodation. The latter have large stiff temples, that, well, squeeze your head, and their shape in the nose area, unique case among all brands I have tried, can't accomodate my nose.
    Why I am telling you all of this is because I want you to consider the idea that it could be helpful if your eye-glasses talks and reviews included a sort of comfort rating, along with the other measures of quality.

      3:50 he actually comments on comfort in this video too, albeit not for all frames but still some input 😊

    Needed to ask I have a high RX been to a couple places for frames and lenses one person says metal frames do they will hide the thickness and don’t have to pop in lenses. The other says plastic frames so it hides the thickness soooo confused it will be a high index lens 1.67

    • @AustinLNale
      @AustinLNale 8 месяцев назад

      @@jimrask1699 1/4 of the price while being just as nice & with far more width options (hard to find nice narrow-width options that aren’t feminine) than most brick-&-mortar eyeglasses shops like LensCrafters etc. And for example there were a bunch if Gast frames I loved but none available in a narrow width. I don’t have the widest frame (pun intended) of reference though. What other places would you recommend? Thanks!
