Light meeting Mikami on the phone "5 pages on November 26th" with English subs.

Honestly one of my favorite anime characters of all time. Such a tragic character with a rich backstory. It often goes understated but I really appreciate how the anime goes out of its way to humanize Mikami. The scene in episode 32 where he intervenes in the bus where those kids were bullying their classmate is one of my favorites in that episode. Yes the anime is famous for his dramatic Sakujo scenes which makes him a but hard to take seriously but the changes and additions made in his flashback scenes made him all the more compelling as a character.

In the manga, mikami asks "are you god?" and light just goes "yes." One of my favorite parts!! Wish it had of made it to the anime

No, the anime is much more brilliant. In the manga Mikami directly asks if he is god and Light says "yes", then Mikami asks him to prove it and Light says what he said in the anime. However the anime is much more brilliant since u can immediately understand the thought process and you can understand the genius of both Light and Mikami
Light finds a way to tell him that He is Kami (Kira) by randomly saying the info which only Kira could know, and Mikami immediately realizes. This is much better than just outright asking if Light is Kira
