@@demonkingbadger6689 I actually love Ryukes character. Even though it's completely true that the producers used him as a comic relief time to time but he always was a God of death. And he never lost this trait. Time to time he has proven that he's stronger, greater and just *more* than other characters. Even him being comical adds to that trait. He's just so on a whole different level that he's not even taking it seriously. Also another thing that I like about him is how he sometimes seemed more human than light empathywise. It shows how much Light has fallen that a non human God of Death is more human than him. We get to see that even from the first episode when Light was telling Ryuke how he would eradicate crime from the human world by killing every criminal in the world in which Ryuke replied by saying "Wouldn't that make you the only last criminal of this world?". Or how in this video when we see Light mercilessly yelling at Misa Ryuke clearly feels disgusted and says "Taking your anger on her huh?". And even in the last episode before killing Light he hesitates a little bit. A God of Death, killing people is who's only resson of existence hesitates to kill someone. It is completely opposites in contrast to Light, who is just a mortal mere human yet who hesitates less to take a life than a literal God of Death.

when people say stuff like Misa was too good to be light's girlfriend they always forget to mention the fact that Misa is also a mass murderer. When Misa was introduced as the second Kira, she only started killing people so she could meet the first Kira, another mass murderer. We all know how much Misa appreciated Kira at first but to go as far as to start killing people herself just to have the chance to meet the first kira is insane. Another thing that could have been a factor in Light and Misa's relationship is the fact that anyone who uses the death note will be cursed so it could be said that Misa was cursed to love someone who would never love her back.
Finally someone said it, thank you. Ppl who actually play misa as innocent and sweet are forgetting she is a murderer .not to mention she is too dumb, I never understood people's love for her
Also the fact that Misa killed innocents too even though Light only killed criminals and people who tried to catch him. She only stopped because Kira told her to. She is very callous about life, even removing 3/4 of it, again, just to please Light. She clearly has no self respect, value for life or morals. Misa and Rems story has to be the most compelling part of this entire show. From Geluses sacrifice to Rems death they absolutely represented the beating heart of this series.
Except for the fact that to me it makes zero sense to give Misa the death note in the first place. Rem, a shinigami, gave Misa, a human she claims to love and have feelings for, an item that she should know good and well will destroy her life. Misa was going to live a long and happy life but everything went down the shitter for her when Rem gave her a notebook. Very compelling. Edit: and to add worse for ware, in the manga rem acknowledges that humans who are followed by a Shinigami typically have bad luck similar to a curse. So she outwardly acknowledges, that her existence in Misas’ life is just a bad idea.
If a shinigami kills someone to protect a human they die and the notebook and their life expectancy goes to the human. Also humans that use the death note become shinigami, so rem and her would be together forever.
@@anna.owo. Humans that use the notebook do not become shinigami that is not true. In the manga Ryuk states at the end that death is equal for all humans no matter what. They fade to black, or the series refers to it as “Mu” (meaning “nothingness”) So no. Misa and Rem will not be together forever. They both faded into nothingness.
Ryuk told Light he'd suffer. One of the few remaining links to his humanity was his family, through which we could see the "real" Light: when he forgot his memories, he was an upstanding, moral human being. Like how he befriended L and found Kira abhorrent. He probably even loved Misa then. So Kira was incapable if loving anyone (just like he used and killed Naomi and Takata), but Light wasn't.
He didn't love misa in the Yotsuba Arc. On chapter 37, light replied to misa saying "girlfriend.. ? All i know is that you say you fell in love with me on first sight and won't leave me alone... "
Hold on now. How didn't I think of this earlier. That's the ending. You proved all the hopes of the fans in that comment. Individuals that change because of the death note and are killed by the very shinigami that caused it become a shinigami themselves. It was shown that Light forgot everything that made him Light throughout the show. He didn't even remember his own dad at the end of the story. He also seemed to be an extremely moral and overall good person without it. Him changing to this degree is impossible unless it affected him differently. This is highlighted by the fact that other users of the death note didn't become as evil and consumed as him. You could argue that Mikume also changed drastically, similarly to Light. This would not affect the theory since he didn't die to a shinigami. Other users didn't change like Light at all. Death Note is also based on buddhism. Buddhism actually has many terms for nothingness. ''Nothing lacks independent existence'' Possibly refering to how a shinigami requires a human to use the notebook. ''Nothingness is something which makes something exist'' Death results in life. ''Karma, rebirth, Impermanence'' ''Nothingness is a condition for awareness'' ''Nothing exists in an enduring manner'' The nothing Ryuk talks about is himself, he would not remember it however. He himself forgot that he became nothingness once.
light didn't love misa during the yotsuba arc, but he was against taking advantage of her feelings for him to achieve something. light during the other arcs didn't have such qualms.
He didn't like her but wanted her as his tool. He was calling out for her to save him when he's nearly dead. She was very useful to him bcuz of her single minded devotion. They r saying that he didn't deserve that devotion.

Honestly it’s not Light’s fault for not liking Misa throughout their relationship and using her. Light clearly did not want to be with her. He made that clear but Misa wouldn’t take no for an answer. Misa said it herself, she didn’t care if he used her. All she wanted was for him to date her.

It's def not his fault for not liking her but it is his fault for using her. Obviously they're both bad people though considering they're both killers,,,
Misa simps ignore that... 1. Misa was obssessed with kira from the start. 2. Misa used the deathnote to kill. 3. Misa was told to go away, she threatened to kill Light's current love interest. 4. Misa was warned by Light that he couldn't simply love her, she also acknowledged that she didn't care about being used.
and i get that. misa was ill and her whole family was gone so she had nobody else to lose. it wasn’t right for misa to accept being used yet it wasn’t any better for light to actually do it (ik im late)

Light and Misa's relationship is exactly like Shu and Kisara's. Both the males exploit the female's unconditional love to do their dirty work, and both are my favorite anime.
casual reminded: Light didn't manipulate or force Misa to be his girlfriend and in fact she forced him into the relationship and threatened that she'd kill any girl who she saw him with and betrayed Rem every chance she got as well as manipulated her multiple times, Misa isn't "Too good" for Light, they're both horrible people
She was initially stupid but a very smart and intelligent girl. She was actually perfect to be light's girlfriend. Very useful. Too good doesn't mean she wasn't good enough. She was a good girl and the one who truly loved light unlike the other one.
I always thought Misa would end up taking L’s side somehow, realising Light’s true nature… the whole series is very sad, but it was still a great story.
Light could've just rejected her but still been nice, but instead he was an asshole. Light was always the true villain, not L, Near, the police or even really Misa. I love Light as a villain though because he's truly vile. Edit: damn, this was 3 months ago and people are still mad lol. I didn't say this is what makes him bad or it's the worst thing done. I said him being vile is why I love him lol.
First, Light did not even want anything to do with Misa. He did not like her, he had no choice other than pretending to like her. Since Rem threatened Light on killing him.
She has the same eye & hair color as her, though Marin's eyes are actually brown, Saki even has the same dye in her hair as Marin, Yukana, & Yue. Love the way Saki looks in your profile pic by the way, looks pretty good.
no, misa amane didn’t deserve better. she literally stalked light and forced him into a relationship which he clearly didn’t want. she also threatened him putting herself into situations in which he couldn’t ignore her and bribed him with all the deathnote thing and the shinigami eyes. she wasn’t that innocent and angelic girl, misa was just childish and as manipulative as light because he wanted him at any cost so she did anything she could to stay with him . it isn’t that bad seeing all the context but it’s to say that SHE putted herself into those situations.
Everyone is hating on Light's treatment of Misa in the comments, but the whole point was that he didn't ask for there to be a second kira. He didn't ask for her to try to meet him in person. He didn't ask for her to become a part of his plan. All of that happened and it was an obstacle in the way of him transforming the world into his vision. He was basically forced to keep Misa around at all times to prevent her from exposing both of them and ruining his plans. Of course, he would not be too happy about that, and of course the relationship was not one that was built on top of love. It purely existed because of circumstance. How could you expect that not to be a toxic relationship?
Misa is the definition of deserved better. She made the eye deal twice so now she only has a quarter of her original lifespan. Rem even realized that Light was toxic but only supported their relationship due to Misa being happy. Light's stupidity even resulted in Rem's death and his own. The only reason she made the eye deal a second time was because she couldn't remember L's real name and she didn't want to disappoint Light. Light would also practically emotionally abuse her. Yelling at her because she was asking if she was okay. Ryuk even commented on it. It is also believed that after Light died Misa ended up offing herself due to her losing someone she truly cared about and becoming depressed from it. The true first victim of Death Note was Light, the last one was Kira. Misa was an amazing character, not my favorite but after seeing this she is now my second favorite. Misa was such a good character she has two shinigami simping for her and they both died because of her almost dying
Misa isn't a good character though, she's sympathetic but in the end she forced Light into a relationship he didn't want, didn't leave even when she could without any repercussions, betrayed and used Rem on multiple occasions, and it was her naivety or stupidity that lead her to make the second eye deal (which even Light thought was dumb). Light's actions are unacceptable but that abuse doesn't make Misa a saint
You can tell light wasn’t good to Misa on a personal level becuase even when Light had no recollection of the death note, and therefore dint have to be worried that Misa was a threat, Light was still not good to her
I have so much sympathy for Misa, though a lot of people dislike her for being "stupid" and "annoying". Is she the brightest? No, would I find her a bit annoying if I actually met her.. probably but I wouldn't hate her. She's loyal and sweet despite all the horrible instances where Light used her, makes me wonder how much she cares for herself if she's willing to just offer herself to a man she knows truly doesn't love her, possibly not much, it makes me sad :(
@NotRational-n2b I do understand that, that's why I feel sympathy for her. She's done *all* of this for the approval of someone who pretty much hates her and is using her for his own gain. No matter how hard she tries, she'll never amount to anything more than just a tool to him who has murdered hundreds for someone she'll never have.
@@itzbuv_sin oh she is foolish. Or at the very least naive. She made recordings with a friend to contact Kira via switching the tapes. Every smart person would have used the Death Note to make some random unarrested criminal think 'let's fuck with L for a bit' and have him preprogrammed to make the desired recording. And even if said person would have just died of heart attack you could have tried to fine tune that method till it works. That tape was the piece of evidence that made L kidnap her. She also made it obvious she had the eyes that very fact made L worry enough to immediately detain her to begin with. If she would have played it smart for like two seconds L would have died after they first met. If intelligently managed in a car crash. Or mabe even better after having a car crash by a medic or surgeon making a lethal mistake.

I already started to hate light after what he did to the detective and then his wife. But after they way he treated Misa, it was at that point I really wanted him to lose.
The worst part is that the creator confirmed light could never love a woman. Which means he was indeed just using misa. She honestly deserved so much better.
The fact that the toxic yaoi shippers just hate on this poor girl who was basically emotionally abused and gaslighted by Light never truly ceases to astound me.

Killing hundreds of thousands of people, exploiting the police, making a bomb at home. Yeah, none of them are nearly as bad as the way he treated Misa.
when people say stuff like Misa was too good to be light's girlfriend they always forget to mention the fact that Misa is also a mass murderer.
Ppl who actually play misa as innocent and sweet are forgetting she is a murderer .not to mention she is too dumb, I never understood people's love for her
everytime ppl argue about death note they forget about the most important rule: the curse.
Good comment
nice perspective
Also the fact that Misa killed innocents too even though Light only killed criminals and people who tried to catch him. She only stopped because Kira told her to. She is very callous about life, even removing 3/4 of it, again, just to please Light. She clearly has no self respect, value for life or morals. At this point Light just plays along with it because she literally treats him like a god, not a fellow human being. I don’t blame Light for treating Misa the way he did.

As much as I love dunking on Light, I am gonna be a little fair and point out out that Misa did force Light into the relationship, showing up at his home and threatening to kill any other girls he dates (an empty threat in hindsight, but good for context).
Exactly, these people are insane lmao. She dang near grapes him at some points. Also, if she truly loved him, she would put her wants aside and do what it takes to achieve his goals as efficiently as possible. Not “I’m gonna say you can use me to feign loyalty, but you better pretend like you’re not, and you’re only allowed to use me on certain conditions that coincidentally involve me being as much of a hindrance to your ideals as possible-to include me loudly parading around as essentially your fiancé overnight and putting both of us in mortal peril”.
All she thinks about is how to be with Light, to the point that it overrides her ability to be anything more than a liability to him, a necessary evil. It was never love, it was an unhealthy and genuinely dangerous infatuation and obsession. She’s not in love, she’s codependent. She was a rabid chihuahua of a girlfriend. She’s a terrible person and a terrible partner, both in crime and in romance. To make things worse her brightest moments almost seem out of character, and only come when the plot demands it because the writers say so. I don’t know what these people are talking about. I’m not trying to be rude, but this video is like a child’s analysis of her character.

Because usually when 'word of god' has to be used something went wrong, right? Maybe it comes off as more genuine with the context of the roof scene added in for the anime?
(Also I think it's interesting that when people talk about that line as if he meant it it's to frame him as more tragic, meanwhile the musical has him mean it but to reinforce that he's in it for the fun of the game more then anything else.)
@@Omnihilo "a rabid chihuahua of a girlfriend" Haha I love that a lot. Also like, its perfectly fine to not like a girl just because shes in love with you and hot.
Misa and Rems story has to be the most compelling part of this entire show. From Geluses sacrifice to Rems death they absolutely represented the beating heart of this series.
And it’s completely wasted on a heartless dumbass
@@HoradricGuitarhehehehehe
''Karma, rebirth, Impermanence''
''Nothingness is a condition for awareness''
''Nothing exists in an enduring manner''
The nothing Ryuk talks about is himself, he would not remember it however. He himself forgot that he became nothingness once.

Of course, he would not be too happy about that, and of course the relationship was not one that was built on top of love. It purely existed because of circumstance. How could you expect that not to be a toxic relationship?
I agree. But later on, he was blinded by his vision to accomplish his goals, even getting rid of innocent people like Ray Penber and his Fiancée.
Not only that Misa’s the whole reason they found about the Shimigami’s/Death Notes
2:39 misa is too good for Light. He's is dead inside, too consumed w/ his own perfection, he's not capable of loving another.
SHE STALKED HIM WHY TF WOULD HE LIKE HER 😭😭😭
She also abused her power to force him into being with her (after he was clearly uninterested)
BJ Johnson: Light calm down, homie she just was worried about you no need to take your anger out on her, my guy 7:44
Misa had plenty of years to spare actually since two Shinigamis saved her
Aha! I knew I wasn't the only one thinking this!
This relationship reminds me of harleyquinne and joker
1:21
OMG, I did not expect Vincent Tong to appear (voice actor for Kai in ninjago)
You can tell light wasn’t good to Misa on a personal level becuase even when Light had no recollection of the death note, and therefore dint have to be worried that Misa was a threat, Light was still not good to her
She looks pretty good with her hair down & she looks pretty good in red.
Bruh... Simps galore coming.
Damn, watching death note I thought Misa was stupid but this montage really made me feel bad about her. She really and sincerely loved Light.
5:10
Misa - I would never dream about living in a world without light!
L - Yes, that would be dark.
HAHAHAHAHA THAT WAS FUNNY.
I have so much sympathy for Misa, though a lot of people dislike her for being "stupid" and "annoying". Is she the brightest? No, would I find her a bit annoying if I actually met her.. probably but I wouldn't hate her. She's loyal and sweet despite all the horrible instances where Light used her, makes me wonder how much she cares for herself if she's willing to just offer herself to a man she knows truly doesn't love her, possibly not much, it makes me sad :(
Right plus she's kinda real tbh
@NotRational-n2b I do understand that, that's why I feel sympathy for her. She's done *all* of this for the approval of someone who pretty much hates her and is using her for his own gain. No matter how hard she tries, she'll never amount to anything more than just a tool to him who has murdered hundreds for someone she'll never have.
@NotRational-n2b But is it wrong to sympathize when you *know* it's not real though? Just let me enjoy the show dude...
Every guy wants a girl to love him like this
not killing people tho thats like the worst thing u can do
3:01 that face that light makes
"okay?"
5:49 she does love him to death …
did
@@MrBruh-yb9qi lol .. yeah
M: "i cant imagine a world without light!"
L: "yes it would be dark." bro.
She reminds me of Harley Quinn. They're both obsessed and in love with a man who's using them.
L has good sense of humour
I think misa is childish
Mostly annoying!!! She killed people just to meet her light!!
And foolish.
Very much so
@@awakeneddio6012 she isn't so foolish
But she is very childish and obsessive
Misa deserved so much better, for gods sake she was a model too I hated how they made her blindly in love with Light. And she k worded herself at the end right?.. SO sad :(
Pretty hot model, NGL. So is Marin. Misa looks so good in red & with her hair down.
No.. you found outside what you hv inside..or say u attracted to what you are , yourself....
So that was "match from hell".
She is like Harley Quinn, I can't feel bad for them. Both of them knew what they were doing and brought all this to themselves.
actually, she was careless in leaving evidences leading to her arrest
Misa : You can use me, Light. I don't mind it.
*Light proceeds to use Misa for his mission.*
People: Misa was too good for Light.
PS: I am not even a Light fan. Misa was basically a stupid cold blooded murderer, also had a one sided obsession with Light. No sympathies for her.
Okay why does everybody ignores that Misa is grooming Light the whole time
This is so high quality 😭
Can't blame him he was not interested in the girl.
When you have to do something like saving the world you would do everything
Light took "you've got beautiful eyes" in a whole new level with her ☠️
I already started to hate light after what he did to the detective and then his wife. But after they way he treated Misa, it was at that point I really wanted him to lose.
7:24 she deserves better……
For real
*Do I need to remind you guys she also killed innocent folk?*
Fuck no. She doesn't. Let her suffer.
she knew Light was only using her and didnt love her yet she still chose to stick with him
I'm glad that L cared about Misa.
The worst part is that the creator confirmed light could never love a woman. Which means he was indeed just using misa. She honestly deserved so much better.
Wait what. You’re telling me Light actually is gay and this isn’t a “it’s not gay the clearly male writer just sucks at writing female characters???”
@@Caddance I don’ know it he’s gay, I do know that he could never love a women though
@@YSLT_ light is definitely gay. no man would willingly massage another man’s feet
@@ajmerthethy6724 Yagami spelled backwards is “I’m a gay” 😂
@@Caddance LMAO 😂😂 bro was probably just asexual. I mean he was a complete psychopath so that can be understood 🙃🙃
The fact that the toxic yaoi shippers just hate on this poor girl who was basically emotionally abused and gaslighted by Light never truly ceases to astound me.
this is why i hate em', js because she's like that doesn't mean u can hate her like this :( i love misa...
i mean she literally asked for this relationship. she stalked light, abused her power to force him to be with her even threatening to kill girls that are with him and outright told him she didnt care if he just used her. not saying him mistreating her is right but he is of no obligation to like her at all. she also mass murdered innocent ppl just to get to kira. all the bad stuff that happens to misa after that even light mistreating her is jjst well deserved karma
Misa:i would never dream of living in a world without light
Emon boooiiii: *yes that would be dark -*
