I love his voice actor. His tone wasn't deep and sultry to sound seductive or something. He just sounded like an arrogant b**** and somehow THAT was what made it more genuine. You understood where his emotions went up and down... and he wasn't just some one dimensional and monotonous "cool" dude. He actually sounded human.

EXACTLY and also in that one episode when they went to kurasama mountain to jirou, shinjirou (kurasama) acted as the temporary earth deity. to transfer it nanami used the talisman but to get tomoe to choose him as a master i feel like they had to have kissed???? since we know that a familiar isnt like passed down since when mikage left he had to make a new contract with nanami. so that means he had to make a new one with kurasama too- KURASAMA AND TOMOE KISSED IM SURE ASF

What I really like about this scene is that it wonderfully demonstrates Nanami's assertiveness and cleverness. Despite her having no powers and being pressured to have herself be humiliated even further so Tomoe could help her, she refuses. One would expect her to give in but she ultimately chose the option that Tomoe did not expect or desire: bounding him to being a familair, thus making HIM the humiliated one. Nanami may not be the one with great physical capability and cam indeed need help, but her inner willpower and assertiveness is something I admire. Many anime heroines tend to be either overly soft air heads, helpless damsels, OP warriors with little vulnerability, nasty tsunderes towards innocent people, or various combinations. But Nanami is more down to earth as she is generally nice but does not put up with rude, condescending behavior. Perhaps still a bit exagerated (that's anime for you) but one I relate to.
Very true! I really love to observe the characters in the anime. But at the same time I feel sorry for Tomoe too 😂
@@coffeelovermar Yeah, it was tough for tomoe to have a day or two of being free only to be back at the job, but to be frank, it was his fault for not at least securing a new manager for his former job, being rude about it, and wanting his ego to be sated before helping someone's life. And considering the crap Nanami was going through (the manga even shows her eviction, something that the anime rushed through) by that point, it was cathartic when she ultimately won.
Luckily for tomoe, his renewed job also ultimately helped turn his life around.
The smart thing were to give in if it was in real life, but since we're watching anime we follow anime logic lol

I wondered that too when I first saw this but the way you wrote it is so funny and I laughed so hard. In the manga he's wearing something like pyjamas or culottes. I'm not sure what you call it in Japanese. So when she pulls him down ,he's covered nevertheless.

I never ever thought I’d fall in love with this anime .
When I finished all the ovas and the seasons, I was left with a warm, happy feeling in my heart. Cried a lot too but felt a sense of happiness. Such a great anime this is.

Unfortunately, the anime ended with only two seasons. There will never be a season three.
There is 5 ova episodes that kindah finishes the story as there will be no season 3

Man, Nanami's such a badass heroine. My fav of all time!! She's not the overly needy and not the overly powerful who can do all. She's basically represented to what the word "human" means. Human with love, weaknesses, strengths, failures, successes, love, and pain altogether looks out for others. This thing that she possesses made even the gods and yokai/spirits bow down to her.

@@Nightfall-wk8hd I mean I guess some people are attracted to anime characters which is not a bad thing I guess. It's like falling in love with someone you don't personally know. For example I used to love watching anime and having favorite characters. I'm out of that phase tho.the reason that they're showing empathy and emotional attachment to an specific character has probably something to do with their personal life. for example if they're going through a hard time while having no one standing by their side makes them easily distract themselves by watching anime (example) to run away from their problems. And if they find someone whose traits they'd like to have but can't they'll mostly be attracted to that person.or if they can relate to that character.but ya doesn't have to be an anime character or fictional characters in general. some may like actors/actresses,celebrities etc

This anime is so great! 10 out of 10! And I really loved the fact that for a second Tomoe forgot about his pettiness and looked legit worried for her before they asked "If you say that line he will help you, right Tomoe?!" and he replied "Yes... I would... Come on, say it", it looked like he was about to rescue her regardless, that slight detail really enticed me because of it's kindness within
I was thinking he did that guilty face because originally he wasn't going to help her but then those masks people (forgot their names) made him feel like an asshole when they asked that question

One of the best animes I've ever watched. I've finished it this July 21, 2020 at 2:40 AM. This anime gives me a mix emotion as well as longing. I miss Tomoe and Nanami, of course the other characters too.
I just remembered about this manga one day and thought about Nanami's personality. She's so strong, brave and smart at one point, and she is still just a high school girl at the other point. It's very important that she can mix that.
Been watching this anime for years bro, and been repeating it after a few months or after a year or so. I am gonna watch it all of including the extras and ova. This is the 7th time of watching it
