- Hi friends! As I mentioned in my previous video, I went on holiday in Paris. We had such a lovely time with my friend and it felt so nice to travel abroad again! Here's my little vlog from the trip.

Aahh Paris! I think everyone dreams of going there at some time in their life. The gardens at Versailles were spectacular! Paris was just... well, what can you say, it's Paris. We went to Paris for half of our honeymoonm( first half was London), 14 years ago in a couple weeks. Walked around Monmartre, went to Versailles for a day for a group trip, Notre Dame. I looooooved Notre Dame we went back on our own (first was part of a group). Husband went up the Eiffiel Tower. I'm terrified heights so I didn't. Being at Sacre Cour was really hard for me. So high up! I absolutely love the back garden and river at Versailles. I could have sat out there with the water fountains for hours. We never had a chance to do any exploring besides the main building and immediate "backyard" so thank you for showing more of the property!

It was so interesting to see your restful, nurturing eye applied to Paris and Versailles. It's different from the typical perspective. As an American, I don't like Disneyland (all of them everywhere) but you even made me see that differently.

I also love Paris and it’s only one and a half hours by train from my home in the southwest of Germany🤩 isn’t it awesome to travel again, last week I went to Brighton for a short trip! What a relief! Thank-you Emmi for the Paris snapsots. I live about 50km north of Paris but haven’t been in two years.
The last visit was just after a ’gilets jaunes ’ weekend and the streets stand of tear gas and burnt whatever. That plus the roadworks for the tramway etc was all too much. I sort of gave up hope, but you have definitely caught a gentler side of the city. I now have Paris envy, Versailles envy...in short, i might just have to ’pop’ over on a day trip.

Thank you Emmi for the gorgeous video. It took me back to good memories. I love Paris and have been a few times since a school trip there when I was 16 (ferry,coach through UK,ferry,coach through France from Ireland taking in Normandy too) . I preferred the Hamlet area around the Palace of Versailles, the Palace was too grand for me. I loved seeing all the artists around the Sacre Coeur. I also loved the Musee D'orsay & Musee D'orangerie -Monet's water lilies in a circular room. The food you ate looked delicious and I’m glad your hotel stay was good too. I hope your course is going well for you but I’m sure you were glad of the break. Best wishes xxx

What a lovely trip. I’m so glad you had nice weather as well. The grounds of Versailles are definitely huge and it is smart you went early. I went in 2008 and we also went very early. Wow! Your trip looked lovely. The architecture is amazing - food didn’t look too shabby either. Glad to see Shakespeare & Co. made it through the pandemic. When I make it to Paris I want to check out Luxembourg Gardens. Do you know of anyone who attended the Cordon Bleu pastry school for visitors? I’m curious about it.
