Your typical hog hunt turned into a rodeo real quick! I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Pigs were everywhere and I was sending Hornady out like it was going out of style!

i mean in his defense not only is he using a long range scope (unless its variable) but he also has a heavy ass tripod on his gun and those pigs are fast like a mofo charging at him

Were 10 pigs killed? There was time to reload a box mag & get as many for a good operator, (without an anchor attached to the rifle).

I use the same magazines as Rambo. I think his last film he got 400 rounds out of one mag....Oh and killed 400 enemy soldiers too.

It is an odd reaction for the hogs. I have shot into multiple sounders, usually in the dark, and they always run to the shot (me). Not so bad in the stand, standing in open field it is real nice having a large capacity mag!

Lol. The shot was blind luck!!! When I take a shot, it’s one shot and down. I have not taken shots when I know it’s going to be risky shot. I don’t torture animals to death. I drop them fast and humanely. That man needs to go to the range more often, and learn when NOT to take a shot. But what do I know?, I’ve only been hunting and shooting for 49 years.

This video is a great argument for reflex shooting as opposed to using sights, as a lot of top-notch shooters recommend. I find I often do better that way myself.

The Pig Brig trapping systems do an effective job of trapping an entire sounder of hogs. Shooting some of them helps cut their numbers down and provide some BBQ, but given one sow can have over a dozen piglets, if just a few of them escape and they breed, before long you’re back to square one.
There were more hawgs what it looked like from afar & you needed some help too. At one point, it looked like you were gonna be over run & that big one at the end looked like it was not gonna give up. Enjoyed it very much & first time watching your video. I will have to subscribe now that I am hooked. From Senoia, GA.
Need to get that quick release working on tripod, seen a struggle trying to get it free then it went limp. Iv got the arca rail quick release and it comes off the tripod in a matter of Milla seconds by a single button push. Great hogging my friend. Keep up the good work.

You guys should consider yourselves very lucky. I've been there and it's not fun seeing those tusks coming at you. Good video showing that hog hunting could be very perilous.

Awesome! Had a mates dog hanging on a big sow about 5 years back in the channel country where there's a lot of wild dogs and dingoes. We shot 18 pigs, large majority were boars as they charged out of the river to attack the dog.
Way to go pigman keep up the good work.

I know it is much harder to hit a moving target than a stationary target, but dang what was the ratio of targets hit to cartridges spent?

A great video for the reasoning of "high capacity mags ", now imagine every one of those was a 200 plus pounder !!!!
A breakdown of rounds fired and pigs killed would be needed before claiming "need". While situations occur where capacity & semis are a big advantage, few examples can be found on YT clips. There are a few who would benefit in Oz, but they hit what they are aiming at with bolt actions & show why many shouldn't be allowed near anything but single shot guns.

If they were charging, which is very uncommon unless cornered and harassed, there would be a discarded rifle & camera & trail of poo. Panicked and running away doesn't sound so heroic though. Credit for getting them to run towards the shooter, enables shooting more if accurate.
