So before I get publicly crucified with negative comments on gun handling, why did you have a cheap Taurus 9mm, blah blah blah...please understand that this is not the poster child video for how you should act in the field. Was I confident in our safety?...absolutely. Can you pick it apart from behind the TV or computer screen?...absolutely. Did I let adrenaline cause me to pump an extra 4 rounds of Critical Defense into this hog?...absolutely. The slide was locked back, I knew the mag was empty and chamber was clear. I called it a clip instead of a mag...so what. It got Western real fast. Shoulda, coulda, woulda...I'm not hiding behind a video clip. Always things we can do better in the field to be safer. Regardless...enjoy this crazy hog charge clip from 2013 (Season 3).

I did the same thing with a longbow.the pig dropped six feet in front of me, I aimed between the eyes, and hid it in the right eyeball. It was instant death.
That's some adrenaline pumping moments when that happened! I would carry a GP 100 4" barrel loaded with copper jacketed hollow points for backup after something like that happens for sure!!
I remember this episode. That was awesome reaction skills to do that!

You are the man! that is tough, hogs as you know suck up a bunch of 9mm . I have emptied two mags of .40 S$W into a hog . most were stuck in the plate on the side of the hog or in fat . very few penetrated when skinned out

Matt has Chuck Norris size balls of steel. Stays on the camera when the rubber meets the road. My shorts would have been soiled front and back. I am not a 9mm fan (one of those .45 guys). But as I always say, 9mm with good ammo and shot placement gets the job done. It beats holding a "no charging" sign. Signs do not work. Good job on volume and continuity of fire. It is ok to kill the pig more than once in this situation.
