I've pondered this ever since I watched it last Fall, that is, these "ethical" questions of fishing over a brushpile you didn't put out. I'm trying to understand how it is that one who stumbles across brush underwater is supposed to know that it is "another man's brush pile". (I mean the whole of those two lakes is one big brushpile, lol)
So I guess I'm ignorant as to how to distinguish whether a pile of brush underwater was put there by man or somehow naturally occurring. Or whether the person who put it there, if that can even be determined, still fishes it or has moved on to other areas, or stopped fishing altogether. And further, what gives one exclusive rights to the fish gathered at a brushpile, even if he is the one who put it there?
Suppose one doesn't live on or near a particular lake, or perhaps a physical limitation/handicap or otherwise unable to build brushpiles. Is it fair game for him to put in time with his sonar to find a few spots to fish or is that forbidden since he didn't put it there himself? What if a brushpile is built by a casual once a month fisherman vs. a guide who is taking out paid clients? And will a paid guide, if he stumbles upon a brushpile he didn't build, avoid that brushpile even if he is charting fish on it and has clients in his boat? Is a dock not artificial structure? Is it fair to fish docks, since it wasn't put there by me? Just never heard of any ethics involved with fishing brushpiles, all my life it was assumed anything was fair game, and many docks that have been baited specifically targeted.
Not trying to dispute or start an argument, just this is the first I've EVER heard of this. But it raises with me more questions than an across the board answer.
Bottom line, I'm trying to rationalize the midset of dropping brush into a public lake and thus rendering that spot personal domain others are supposed to avoid, otherwise it becomes a "respect" issue.

I wouldn’t know one from the other but if I catch fish, I’m definitely fishing it in a public lake.

Well said, I wonder if he’s having a tough day, then finds a brushpile loaded with fish, will he say, nah, can’t fish here because this pile ain’t mine….?

Look like you've got enough boats to enjoy all conditions..... This is the part of guiding no one sees and it's work getting structure out and finding days or nights (When I like doing it) without a lot of traffic is as important as putting the structure out.... I'll give you a tip, I'm not sure if you actually put those piles where you were showing on your graph but it might help you to turn your gps cords off on your graph.....👀
Those other fish love crappie structure as much as the crappie do.....
    Nice catches and Stay At'um.....

Did you guys put in at Amos Lee Gourdine Boat Ramp near Russellville? I recognize that place I used to go there all the time and fish with my grandma. I've heard people catch crappie right across the canal from that place. I've just never bothered trying because we live in Pinopolis its a long trip.

That’s exactly where they come from. GODS done his part already. Now it’s up to me to get what’s been giving to me already. I just have to do what’s right and what’s expected of me as a Christian to continue getting them great blessings. Thank GOD he’s a forgiving GOD because I’m human not perfect so I have to ask for forgiveness but when I’m dead am gone. I know where I’m going the same place I’m getting all my Blessings from. Thanks for commenting. We appreciate it. GOD Bless ya.

Ok i had to stop the video at the end of your prayer. The bible says in ALL your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path. Something as simple as dropping brush which you know how to do yet you took the time to enclude God. Bro that brush is going to produce, but i have a testimony about praying and fishing that i know will bless you and i would love to share it with you but its to much to be typed. Anyways be blessed no i gotta watch the rest of the video

When you drop the brush in the water it is not your brush anymore if someone fishes it more fish will move in on it. you like to think its your lake and it is not it belongs to the people.
