In retrospect, they really should've been consistent with finger numbers (for reasons). Just know, anyone with four fingers is merely a design choice. Nothing plot related.
It's been forever since I was an active member of the gravity falls community but IIRC, there is symbolic meaning behind 4 vs 5 fingers. It has to do with a loss of innocence. I forget the specifics but characters that have a purer/more childlike outlook on the world have 4 meanwhile the more jaded have 5. Hence why the adults often have 5 fingers meanwhile the kids typically only have 4 (with the notable exception of gideon).
@@nairagar7338 Alex commented that it's because when it's the little-kid designs, their arms are so thin that it's easier to do 4 fingers on those hands, or else it looks weird. Gideon has 5 fingers because his design is so wide, including his arms. (Wendy has 4 fingers too, even though she's older, because her design is thin.)
the message at the end of the theme song changes every few episodes! In the first episode it said "three letters back" which is a reference to how you solve the cryptograms at the end of each episode. I'm really impressed with Alex Hirsch vocal range and the characters he voiced throughout Gravity Falls and how different the voices he used on Grunkle Stan, Soos, McGucket and now Bill Cipher sound different from each other. But Bill Cipher aside, I also love how it gave development to Dipper who didn't like how Grunkle Stan gave him "tough love" on doing the chores throughout the shack while at the same time when he's in Stan's mind he misinterpreted Stan's conversation with Soos on hating Dipper and "wanting to get rid of him" until he relistens to the conversation again and learns that Stan is only hard on Dipper to prepare him to face the world and gives Dipper the moment to start appreciating Grunkle Stan even if Stan can be hard on him and be a greedy swindler. Also, the phrase Gideon said when summoning Bill Cipher is "Backwards Message" but in reverse.
The backwards messages in the theme song change when the cipher to solve the codes change. They give you a clue how to solve them, so "26 letters" for how each of the numbers coresponds with a letter of the alphabet. There are a few episodes though that have a different message and it usually connects to the plot of the episode
After you finish seeing the first season of "Gravity Falls", watch the "Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained". These are short episodes that last a few minutes. They are fun, short, and give another bit of lore on these characters. Those codes that appear in the last seconds of the episode are useful in someway. Watch those episodes and you will see their use.
Having watched Alex Hirsch’s commentaries on the episodes and watching people theories about stuff knowing that at this point in the show the writers themselves didn’t even know what it meant is very funny
no but it shows that Stan is conscience about what's happening in his mind, like when he interacted with Dipper, since he acknowledged the door falling in the pit. "whatever that was, it's gone now." Same thing with the code on the vending machine, it was different and I bet if we did hear what he said, it would of been something compley different compared to the truth.

Ever since I heard you were going to react to this show, I have been so excited to see your reaction to this episode. Also, in regard to the deed making no sense, we have clearly seen the law enforcement in this town… so yeah. Also, this is the same town where you used to legally be able to marry a Woodpecker.
No no, you can STILL marry a woodpecker! As that guy does in "Irrational Treasure". (I can't remember right now whether we see it glimpsed on one of the written things in that episode, so you have to pause the ep to read it, or whether it is written elsewhere, but the show explains the deed thing by saying that Quentin Trembley created a law just in Gravity Falls that things like deeds are "finders keepers". So that's why all Gideon has to do to "own" the Shack is possess the deed.)
Little detail i noticed after rewatching *MAJOR SPOILERS DON'T KEEP READING IF YOU DON'T WANNA FIND OUT* When Gideon asks Bill to enter Stan's mind he says "Stanford Pines" and Bill reflects upon this since he knows Stanford it's not in gravity falls currently, so he figures things out quickly and just says "Stan (not Stanford or Stanley) Pines..." So much attention to detail.
Oh there’s so much! First you played the music backwards (which is very funny considering coming eps) and you heard the massages and noticed the fingers and the symbols! Ahh and I can give you an awesome hint (don’t read if you don’t want very spoiler-ish hints!) We saw the author of the journals in this episode :3
Only reason Gideons owns the shack is because Quentin Trembley made legal ownership of a property a finder keepers rule. So if you find the deed to a property you now legally own or keep it in your possession
If that’s true that makes sense (in a way) show wise. I just assumed it was cartoon logic.
Oh wow, and here I thought it was just because those two cops are incompetent

It'll be a difficult thing to pickup since I was never one to stay on track and focus or study hard but I'd like for this to come into fruition.
Here is when the story picks up... cant wait!
It's amazing that at 1 hour after posting this video, there is 2.5k views with 2.3k likes. That's merit to your fan base dedication.
So it begins. The first episode of the long rabbit hole that is this show
"Beware, beware. When Gravity Falls & earth become the sky, fear the beast with one eye.."
Umm that hasnt happened yet...
I just love anytime something goes wrong Bill goes “WHAT!?”
Bill!!!! Such a great episode! It’s all about to change!
I died laughing at their reaction to the backwards message at 20:52 😂
You guys should watch the dippers guide series
Yes finally i have waited for this episode for Months now and it was so worth it.😁
Here is the episode we have all been waiting for
“Soos…broom”
“OH NO NOT THE BROOM!” 🤣🤣
Little detail i noticed after rewatching *MAJOR SPOILERS DON'T KEEP READING IF YOU DON'T WANNA FIND OUT*
When Gideon asks Bill to enter Stan's mind he says "Stanford Pines" and Bill reflects upon this since he knows Stanford it's not in gravity falls currently, so he figures things out quickly and just says "Stan (not Stanford or Stanley) Pines..." So much attention to detail.
Man that Gideon (Aka Evil Flapjack) going to steal the Mystery Shack and working for BIll Cipher!
No one says “I have 4 fingers, and a thumb” lol, just 5 fingers
Oh there’s so much! First you played the music backwards (which is very funny considering coming eps) and you heard the massages and noticed the fingers and the symbols! Ahh
and I can give you an awesome hint (don’t read if you don’t want very spoiler-ish hints!) We saw the author of the journals in this episode :3
