seek and D.....I wanted to tell you something....Make sure you take screw out of coil when you rinse after the beach....I did it the other day and it had sand in the threads.....just wanted to tell you and the other viewers at home....I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer! Good luck!
We all know there are two types of detectorists, especially when it comes to the beach, the wide sweeping ones looking for hot spots and the type that grids and overlaps sweeps. It would be interesting to see a test to see which may provide more finds. Do the wide sweeps in a designated area, and then do overlapping methodical sweeps to see if anything was missed.
I did most random wavy lines this last week and got some gold. If I took the time to grid, I may not have gone far enough to reach it, but there's always the chance I passed things because I didn't grid. There's bot luck and skill. From picking where you going to hunt, to what area of the site you'll start on, and then how much time you spend and how well you detect as you walk. I think about it all the time.
In geocaching we called those guys, "persistent muggles." Not part of the game, they slow your hunt, and they won't go away. Still, better than Karen. Tnx for the rarely seen (in detecting videos) beach! 😄
Hey Eric, thanks for the shoe recommendation. I need a new pair and I like that they drain well. That guy was something. Every so often you run across people like that. I had some kid pestering me at a tot lot once throwing Pennie’s in front of me. So I slipped a silver dollar into my scoop and you should have seen them digging when I walked away. Lol The silver ring was nice.👍
I've been using them a couple weeks now. The mesh is pretty open so they do let dry sand in, but the nice thing is I wave them around in the water and most of it comes out. I may put some extra holes through the mesh in the insoles the drain the sand out a little easier.
I go with Beach 1 in the dry sand, Beach 2 in the wet. I rarely if ever go above 20 on sensitivity. That helps tightening the target ID numbers slightly. Noise cancel before starting and I usually just leave tracking ground balance on. An nearly always run All metal, unless I'm in a super trashy iron area.
Here is one for ya woollies I got few snacks paid cash .. had 10.00 dollar note not damaged legal note ask for x5 2.00 dollar coins . All I got was no not our policy to swap coins work that out . Anything but a Karen! I’d say, I can’t recommend that beach, but since I found a ring on it, you just never know!
The ring looks like an Irish cladder ring nice find
That’s what it is. Thanks for educating me!😊

@@SeekandDetect yeah, that would work adding some additional holes. Just the fact that they dry fairly quickly is nice.
I don't get to the beach to often but have been wanting a shoe that would work well these might do the trick thanks.
These seem to do well letting out the fine sand.
at least you wore cloths .got out and scored a ring.. Happy Hunting ..Peace

My Wife has an Xterra Pro. What settings do you use at the beach?
