I was concerned when she thought the first wing was a bit hot, but Melissa pushed through to the end. This show does break down the walls and Melissa showed herself to be a delight. Much respect.

Just now watching this one. I have never had much respect for her than in this episode. When you see somebody struggling and she willing share the bread with him before he asked. You can tell somebody who has a good heart. I salute you!

I agree with all of the above, except for the decent size bites. I don't think two thumbnails worth of chicken is a decent size bite, more of a nibble if anything 😂 but saying that I imagine it's easy to not want too much due to the heat of some of the sauces.

Yup. I have The Classic, Los Calientes and The Last Dab. I can handle the first two, but The Last Dab hurts me. I have zero interest of ever trying Da' Bomb.

To me, she exemplifies mediocrity. She's not terrible, but I really wouldn't miss her if she was gone.
She's the type of person some people like to make assumptions about... just to sound like they have a deeper understanding of life...
Sean is by far the best interviewer. He keeps the tempo, he doesn’t interrupt, he makes it feel like a conversation rather than an interrogation and he really makes the person he’s interviewing feel like a person. By far my favorite show and show host.
Some of that is editing - props to the post process - but , yes.
Him and his team literally dive deep and ask questions that really make his guests think and it makes them really enjoy the interview.
My stagefright helped me realize how nervous i can be to perform, even in conversation. Hearing Melissas story about wanting to play a chris farley role and be respectful, and doing it while being so unsure but faithful in the skit and herself, made me so happy ❤
For someone who doesn’t do well with spice she did amazing and you can tell she had a great time!
Melissa McCarthy is so kind, real, and fun. I had no reason to doubt this fact, but I'd never seen her interviewed before... and she is a delightful human!
If you have the time, go watch her interviews with Ellen. Not a fan of Ellen, but Melissa McCarthy shines on that show. She is an amazing storyteller.

This interview is making the top of the best Hot Ones interviews for me. I mean, Melissa Mccarthy just knocked it out of the ballpark. Even when she suffered, she threw funny lines, answered the questions, rounded out her answers with more funny quips. She’s a natural. Had a blast watching this one.

As someone whose tolerance for anything spicy is completely nonexistent, Melissa’s reaction is prolly close to how worse I am with spicy food. I couldn’t believe I could love Melissa more than I already do. She’s just a treat to watch.

As a Brazilian, I did not like her character from Bridesmaids. I know it wasn't her fault, but her character treated Brazilian food like it was Indian food. I actually know a Brazilian restaurant owner in NY who lost customers because of that whole thing about having diarrhea eating Brazilian food. Not cool!
The questions are top notch, seriously the time they take to truly find memories and nostalgia is amazing. I love that in this interview, they're enjoying actual sit down lunch with a friend vibe conversation.

I don’t think I’ve ever been prouder of someone I don’t know before. Firstly, this may be the funniest episode ever where Melissa and Sean had amazing chemistry but she took some pretty decent bites on every wing. And she hated them from the very first wing. She seems like such a wonderful, warm human who throws herself into things with her all.
She said "thats tolerable" after the first wing therefore she didnt hate it from the very first wing
I love it that the celebrities get really honest and real on this show. Who knew hot sauce could bring out the genuine quality in people?
Just to think that this channel started with interviewing influencers on social media to now interviewing celebrities is wild! The questions are always so different from what anything any other interviewer would ask and really make the interviewee think while their mouth is on FIRE but the answers always provide an insight on their life that the public would never know were it not for this interview. I'm so happy for the growth of this channel (and I bless Sean's poor taste buds after all these takes lol) and look forward to watching more hilarious and insightful interviews. Cheers!

She really did a great job. Some people fall apart after Da Bomb, but she kept it together, and soldered on to make it all the way to the end.
