I own this tablet it's fantastic and even supports netflix Dolby Vision.
Some odd issues though :
No openCL support (11" works)
Drop down menus in chrome are broken
No DTS support in Plex (11" works)
No sound on JustPlayer (11" works)
And the big one for me the Invasive Lenovo Security Center is broken. On the 11" version you can whitelist the apps it force closes (calenders, alarm clocks, play store, microG etc). On the 12.6" version the Security App won't open and just crashes. This really hampers my everyday use of the tablet.
Edit... Good news these issues are now fixed.
Thanks for sharing, I was highly consider the 12.6 but I suspect it still have some work to do, especially support. I'm considering the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5, which is a tablet chromebook. I only need a tablet for media consumption, the 12.6 try to compete with premium productivity tablet/laptop so the price is getting steep.

I got the P11 pro 2021 and altho the device rocks and the p12 is probalby better in every metric, do bear in mind that these are very nice devices and you're gonna be hard pressed to get third party rom support, meaning that if you dislike the OS (which I do, I came to hate ZUI in a single day) you're stuck with it.
My ZUI installation currently makes it impossible to use any app that requires accesibility options such as anything that wants to draw over other apps, for example.
Can’t wait for it to be on sale in the US

I hate how nobody wants to stick top tier specs into 8" tabs anymore, they're so unwieldy the larger they get. Reading stuff in portrait mode has become kinda hard to use these days, and even tho they keep getting larger they still can't give us more IO for productivity and media consumption. Otherwise this is too good of a tablet to pass up on.
small tablets make no sense. you can't use any tablet one handed, so why make it small? use a big phone if you want one handed use
@@moblue2899 I mean thats not really why you get a smaller tablet. Its just more convenient to toss in bags, most bags dont even have tablet slots big enough to put in 12". 8" isnt really a small size, its just a convenient form factor for reading and its still larger than most phones. My last tablet was 8" and my current tablet is 11.5, and now im moving onwards to the Lenovo 12.6, its noticable more comfortable to hold an 8" than it is to hold a 11.5. It still gives you all the features of a larger tablet w.o any down sides, its not like it would hurt your experience using a smaller tablet.
The best 8" tablet rn is the iPad Mini 6

Whats the point of screen that is barely bigger than screen of average smartphone?
You might as well get a 6.67" smartphone instead of 8" tablet.
6.67" smartphone can double up as calling/messaging device.
So that you dont need to buy another device.

That was not a review, that was you trying to tell us difference between the P11 Pro 2021 and the P12 Pro. But I believe most people following the P12 Pro story already knew that in my opinion.

We compared Xiaomi Pad 5 pro with Xiaoxin Pad Pro 2021, but don't think it's a good option with Pad Pro 12.6, a big price difference.
I would say Xiaoxin Pad 12.6 pro vs S7+ would be a better comparison. Even the 2021 pro has crushed Xiaomi 5 pro aside from refresh rate and text rendering

Considering tablets are often used as media consumption devices, I feel like they should have at least the same pixel density as an average phone. Most phones have a ppi of 400 but these tablets are at around 260ppi, which means they are 40% less sharp than a phone. I wish a manufacturer would slap a 4k panel in a 10-11 inch body

well lenovo's tablet first gain huge popularity due to its affordability. now that this is on par to the "expensive" tablets, users can just purchase other brands of the similar price, rather then buying this lenovo "upgraded" version.

The 12.6 is $300 more than the P11 Pro 2021 (currently on sales). That's way too much consider it's only 1" bigger, 2 Gb more RAM and higher refresh rate. The processor is the same as the P11 Pro 2021.
The e4 amoled is worth it for people editing photos video etc or for watching movie and the upgrade of the speakers too and battery
Wait until 2022 it will surely be on sale at a much lower price

Can the lte version make phone calls & sms?
Note to all don't make my mistake... I installed the P12 Global ROM and it has locked the Chinese Xiaoxin varient in bootloader. Lenovo have added protection to stop you flashing to a different region.
As of right now there is no Chinese Rom available for download to fix the issue. I have an expensive brick which I have to return to Lenovo China for fixing.
Also lots software issues with Ziu13 right now.
Can't it be fix with VPN? I'm planning to buy either Xiaoxin Pad pro over my other choice which is Xiaomi pad 5, but I still can't make up my mind right now.

Problem with lenovo tablet is the camera. It's not great compared to huawei tablet and samsung tablet.
I'm not using it for taking pictures, it's for video conferencing.
What about the widevine security level cause the Dolby vision and Atmos useless without registering the tablet with it so it can be support on Netflix, Amazon prime..etc
And what about the google services

Looking at this and can't even find a snapdragon 870 P11 Pro model? The P11 Pro from what I can see is only a SD730.
What he meant when he said about the P11 Pro was actually the Xiaoxin Pad Pro 11.
P.S The Xiaoxin Pad Pro 11 is the China version of the Global Pad Pro.

Best in China only! rather stick with tab s7 plus. It does have a little bit more power but s7 wins everything else and in real world it performs the same. When tab s8 comes forget about it

Not only a E4 better display, the technology show thin pixel with more sharpness details, The charge is real quicker, and the sound is a lot improved. Last point the gap between spnadragon 888 vs 870 is not so impressive ( compared to 860/870)

This aint the best android tablet. Its nice, but everything is 2nd rate compared to the Tab S7/S8 series. The design is obviously borrows heavily from Samsung. Also, software support for this is dismal. The Galaxy Tab series have support for up to 5 years. Nothing beats the Galaxy Tabs at this point. Samsung has the most complete and best experience out of any brand and that is why they are the dominant player in the market. Even you cant deny that lol.

And I think that at this price point, 99% of people will systematically turn to an iPad or a Tab S7 +, for the software and the monitoring of software updates which are better, the pencils which are better, the integration with the ecosystems which are better, but above all an essential point that people pretend to ignore, the social value attached to the brand name is very decisive in the choice of high-end products.

You don't need them side by side. The P11 2021 oled has some real issues in dark scenes. It is also penile. The p12 screen looks higher resolution (even though its not) for this reason alone.

Regarding the Lenovo Xiaoxin 2021 it's a shame that it doesn't have a location capability such as GPS or similar ones.
I bought this tablet because I wanted to use it in my car as a navigator but then I discovered that it doesn't have the function!
