Every known brand of tablet already release their share , like Samsung S7 FE , iPad Pro , Matepad Pro with Harmony OS and now Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro. So where is Mi Pad 5 , Mi Pad 5 Pro and Mi Pad 5 Lite, I still believe u can do better than them especially with pricing , I still faithfully using my Mi Pad 4 8.0 almost 3 years , you can do it Xiaomi !
What android version is this running on? Does this have issue with netflix. Had problems with netflix with mi pad 5 running on same processor snapdragon 870. It always changed to l3 widevine from l1 and need to constantly reinstall or force close the app to solve the issue.

You forgot to mention this tablet has no GPS, and that HDR and 2k resolution don't work with apps like Netflix and others. Those are all deal-breakers for me. Get those fixed and this will be a contender.

But I would have liked to see what the pencil gives in terms of latency and precision for drawing and writing. What is good is that it will lower the prices of Samsung tablets and other 😅. Looks like it’s the usual universal pen input protocol. Which means it’ll fine for note taking, rough sketching. But if you want to draw a straight diagonal line slowly, or a circle, you are straight out of luck. To be honest the only stylus for art that is worth considering outside Wacom EMR is the Apple Pencil. I’ve tried a million of these, and they always fail :(
Your review is the only one I've seen on RUclips that has that skin/launcher. All other Lenovo Pad Pro reviews show a more bare android launcher. Is that a china exclusive? I must admit it looks more polished and optimized for a tablet.
Do you face any OLED screen issue with dark grey background and in a dark room (brightness set to super low). Heard a lot of people has dirty effect on their OLED display when in such environment as stated. It has to be with dark grey content to see it in a dark room (almost no light).

From my previous experiences with xiaoxin pad pro, (old version with Snapdragon 730g) I can watch netflix with no issues even in China rom (I installed GMS (google mobile services) from chrome not the app centre provided). Netflix works perfectly fine and no sudden crash while watching. I will be very disappointed if this new version does not support both FHD and HDR 10. Anyways let us wait and see how will it go at the end.

@@mazeman7220 Apparently not. It uses OLED, but not pentile subpixel arrangement. Take a look at this video: ruclips.net/video/byDs3k3OCTI/видео.html At 1:54 you can see that it does not seem to share subpixel like pentile, and should not exhibit pentile low res problems.
@Boom Zooming into the panel you can see that it uses a delta sub-pixel arrangement. This is a pixel arrangement from China screen manufacturer designed to bypass the patents of Samsung and other brands. Reference: inf.news/en/digital/54693f2660cfc64af2d76e7909f05903.html Pentile has a different sub-pixel arrangement. So this is not pentile, and has different pros and cons. It definitely is not as good as super amoled on Tab S7 plus, and has only 70% of the sub-pixel density.
@Boom I don't know what sub pixel arrangement is used in the older tablet to compare to. Many reviewer just say it is pentile and does not truly verify like this case. I only know of the 2021 version because I bought one to test. I have since returned the tablet as the display looks bad to me and does not meet my standard.

hello there! im an user of this tablet and an OnePlus phone user. motion on this this display had no noticable difference in smoothness and ghosting, though its not confirmed that this tablet has memc features of not. screen latency on my opinion is on par with tab s7+, but the pen wasnt as good. overall a killer deal for 450$ tablet

Couldn't agree more. With such a large screen, it's completely pointless not to have a PC-like UI.
