I feel attacked, I will finish my helmet! 😭😭
He believes in you. 🙏
Is everyone gonna ignore the very big phallic shaped print on the left at the beginning of the video?
Yes
Gridfinity bins, if your printer has time to lean, it has time to clean! Lol
Literally the next thing on my todo list was "get cable clips for standing desk" so... perfect timing.
What do you mean by VR has kinda died down? It's not just a trend, many people's job is to just work on "a dead trend." There are many more advenced headsets than the Rift series, ask me how I know, a few years back I go an oculus 2 and I still play it to today with many many games that always have people online.
Ergonomic? It's a plank, on legs. What?
3D printed pegboards are my favourite functional prints. The multiboard made by Jonathan is awesome.
I want a 3d printer sooooo bad. If I had one I'd 3d print my self a new life.
- Knob overlays for the shower thermostat (for additional grip)
- Custom hooks for towels
- Custom small shelves for hairbrushes
- Several repairs done including (but not limited to): Thule bike trailer, living hinge replacement (tpu), luxaflex replacement parts, etc.
- Hook for my wall mounted TV
- Custom designed deskmount for my headphones and xbox controller
This is just the tip of the iceberg.
I've been flying fpv for quite a while now and just bought a 3d printer. Wish I'd done so years ago. The amount I've spent on 3d printed parts would have already paid for a decent printer. My first print was a box to hold a RotorHazard racing timer. I'd emailed several services asking for a quote and no one got back to me, so I decided to finally pull the trigger.
So much replaying to find a bioshock confirmation...
That was a lot fun, cheers
Thanks! I think you've just inspired me to build new parts for my Sony headphones that have a snapped headband.
Nice video. Even though im not using my own printer for it I am using 3D printing for one of my clubs. we ar building a SeaMate Bearacuda ROV mini sub for a competition next summer( we did not get it finished for this summer). I am designing up custom motor shourds will built in prop guard if it and using a MakerBot Replicator+(yes I know it is ancient) to print them out as well as the prototype to make sure that it fist on the motor and nothing is touching or can come in contact with the props.
Nice Video. Here is another sugested use printing parts for a collage club activity. One club I am in at collage is building a SeaMate Baracuda ROV sub. I am desining motor covers that also include prop guards to help the waterflow arond the motors and to also keep anything but water away from the props. These are being printed on a MakerBot Replicator+( yes an anchient printer) at my collage.
I made a bunch of custom brackets and what not for a Thermaltake Core P5 case. I had to make one for an AIO, GPU sag bracket, PSU mounting bracket, and a ton of fan brackets.
Wait, you can use a 3d printer to make more 3d printers!?
and then use those printers to make more printers!
It's the same with people btw
The juxtaposition of wife area vs Nero area. Order vs chaos…. 🤣
What was the background with the black hex’s at different depths. Been looking for something like that.
Random desktop wallpaper i downloaded ages ago and has been sitting on my home server
I'm definitely not finishing my helmet ⛑️
Now thats proper trigger discipline lol
NERO IS A WUBBY FAN?!
Didn't have that one on my bingo card lmao
Didnt Ask
No not at all, I use it far more than I thought I would when I first got it. I mean it's not on the go all the time, but there is a steady trickle of things I need it for - and some of those things can take some time to print, or design.
So what do I print:
I ride EUC's, so handles, foot rests, TFU seat, light brackets.
Into electronics, radio, so instrument boxes and panels, stands, brackets replacement bits.
The car, mounts, bits and pieces
Models - space hardware, ex Satcoms Engineer
The usual, mobile phone stands, xmas decorations, badges and labels
Into classic audio equipment and have had to replace broken parts
Workshop bits, vice jaw guards, peg board hooks
3D Printing - too much for the 3d printer to list
That NERF blaster would get me arrested in NYS for printing Ghost Guns

Practical prints arebmy favorite. I printed a bushing for the tailgate of my truck and yeah it would only have been $10 but for like $1 in filament and 20 minutes of time i had that bushing and extras and didn't have to wait for the part to arrive.
Hey great video. I really enjoy these types of videos from you. My practical everyday use printed item is my phone case among several other things of course, but everyone has a phone and can easily print a case in tpu on most modern printers. One of my favorite at home prints is a shroud to cover the wires for my pc and monitor. I have a corner desk and everything is mounted in the corner so I modeled up a shroud to go from my desk to monitor to cover the wires and then I put in cutouts in the shroud to fit my USB hubs, smart watch charger, a shelf for my surround sound controller and a few other things so it keeps everything off of the desk and looks super clean.
We bought replacement entry lights hanging from a 20 foot ceiling. The replacements are meant for new construction, which I knew because there is nothing to hide connections made if you want to cut the wires to the old ones, and 20 foot ceiling so yeah. So I 3d printed cups that fit these lights to hide the connections and painted them close enough they don't stand out. This printer is very useful.
@Nero3D the Canuck Creator, I hope you're not next to get demonetized, and lose your channel just for saying that word (G-U-N).
You know you can say GUN in the comments :P and in videos
its just the rules in LIVESTREAMS are more stringent due to people doing some very bad things while live in the past
Black flash
"yes that was a bioshock reference"
The magic of 3D printing is you can take some simple measurements and with a bit of work in CAD create a purpose built part for darn near anything. It requires far less work and setup compared to something like woodworking or CNC or other manufacturing methods and often still exceeds the mechanical needs of the application. It can get tempting to search around your home and find every place to micro-organize your life, and if that’s what you want to do then do it, but it’s nice to remember that your printer is as much a tool as it is a thing you can use to make toys
There are countless applications where a CNC router or laser engraver is more efficient than 3dp.
Now add red glowing eyes to Godzilla...
Great, Fun Video
Well done! I, too, would like one art.
Can you please share your stl's?
the first thing i thought: nice t-shirt😁
First!
