You do realize you can CHANGE THE SPEED of the print while swapping filament, right? Set it to 10% speed and you don't have to work so hard to keep up with it. Just a thought.

Try making a gearbox that goes by itself without a motor and it has to be strong enough to withstand the speed cause i want it to go god speed!!!

I am planning on attempting something similar. I have a character that I made up I call "Tudaus". I am hoping to print out a life size statue of him. He stands 7 and a half feet tall, so I guess it will end up a little bit bigger than the statue of shaq. I am currently printing a life size model of his head. I have my fingers crossed that it will turn out right.

I don't know if you know luban 3d software, it super nice to cut big object into parts based on the printing volume of your printer, I'm actually using it right now to cut a big 1200mm tall model
, it also add dowel connector for easy assembling and aligning

Also your consistent freeze might be absolute positioning on the E axis - switch to relative E and it might not crash, if it's crashing due to an overflow.

Almost need a power bank battery sponsor for backup power? If your power flickering is what is causing the freezes, that is. A printer that size needs to run longer than that...
Power loss recovery filling up the SD card? Turn that off or maybe a faster larger card would help?
