Hey Devin! :) Excess dietary protein is converted to glucose in the bloodstream. This is only in the case if a person eats a meal with quite a bit of protein though. In a typical balanced meal of carbs, protein, and fat, only the carbs will be converted into glucose and cause bloodsugar to raise.
