My oldest son walked at 8 months. No pushing. Don’t worry about what people think or say! You as their parent know what’s best for them. That’s why God gave you these specific children.

mama of a new kindergartener and I'm still freaking out that my baby girl is in school. we had a great private pres school and this is a huge adjustment and support. I grew up in the best schools in NJ/NY area and this is very different school system. I am trying not to compare.

Preschool teacher here! Observe the students - do they seem happy there? Are other parents happy with their children there? Do teachers get down on children’s levels to talk to them? How does the school view play based learning in Kindergarten? Is there a safe place where students (whether yours or someone else’s) can go when they have big emotions? This is to keep the child who’s experiencing big emotions safe, the other students in the classroom safe. Do the teachers seem supported.

If you have a Hero’s Academy, or Acton Academy near you, please research it. My four grands go to Hero’s Academy in Meridian, ID and are thriving! They do not call them teachers, they are called guides. They don’t answer the kids’ questions, they ask the kids things to get them to think on their own. They collaborate on real-world projects, learn so much from each other, it’s so different than public school but so great! Good luck.

Do you have a workout plan or person you follow or recommend for postpartum? I had my 3rd baby in January and it's been rough trying to feel like myself and I know there are imbalances that I'm trying to get addressed but I want to feel stronger again.

I have 4 kids, and they all went to public school. The schools were ok, but not great. The difference was, my kids took lots of AP classes and dual enrollment in high school. They all graduated in the top 4 with 4. 6 GPA. A few were higher. They all go to a private college and doing well.

Watch how the morning starts. If the children go run in the room and it is chaos with kids running all over the room...run. If the children go in and sit down at there spot and start working on coloring a picture or have a puzzle and the class starts with organization the teachers will have a lot more control over their class. If the kids are running around it is so much harder for the teacher to have any organization of the class and may decide a active boy is the "troubled one" and not have any structure. I know kids need to be kids but when you have maybe 20 kids in a class it is better for a teacher to be structured while being loving and caring when needed.
Just advise from a mom of an ADHD child that is very Intelligent and gets bored with attention on the teacher structure helped so much.

If you spend all the money on a school, what about the rest of it. The extra curricular activities can break the bank as well. Skating, dance, gymnastics, theatre and on and on. I’d want to make sure I could still give them that.

Since they starter walking so early, their spatial awarness Will be worse. So train them on that when They are older.
Its that way for all of us that didnt crawl much, they brain is then underdeveloped om spatial awarness.

Hate comments are crazy to me. They are your children and the fact that people want to negatively comment is ridiculous. It’s a mind your business moment. Dont like it scroll on, don’t watch, whatever. I guess I just don’t understand what being negative to someone you don’t know adds to the commenter’s life.
