Intrested in this concept in a future release with a few improvements for a road runner. At the moment I feel it will not meet my use cases. I think it will be a good option for many runners.
It's like all new tech...the firts iteration is the worst...hopefully firmware updates will increase the quality and usefulness...and then the next generation will have even more improvements...
Water isn’t good for drones and this one is light so the wind can blow it about. The sensor is small so it only works in good light. So I guess it is more of a summer drone in that sense. The great thing about it is you can run down to the seafront in Bray, send it up parallel and it can track you all the way as you run up and down. It would be brilliant to bring on holidays and have it track you as you run up the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art etc. But if you want really good footage the Mini Pro 4 is substantially better and more expensive, but you can’t easily run and fly it on the fly so to speak…
The batteries are not. The controllers are with the Mini Pro 4, which I have, but the Mini range is large and I don't think all are compatible. There is a link to accessories below and each item will show you what it is compatible with. The DJ RC2 controller is my favourite, but is expensive and works with both my drones. I was thinking of getting one of these, do you think it's more of a summer drone? I'm wondering if it would survive an Irish winter!
