Im a metal guitarist and like i didn't think country was hard but like its really hard compared to some stuff. i realize its way harder than it sounds thank u for this excellent lesson :)
I think, you can find easy and difficult pieces in any music style. I'm glad you're enjoying the lesson
The second solo is very good too, a lot of tasty double stops
the coolest player on you tube
Oh that’s Rockabilly 100 % 😎❤️🎸🎶
Great lesson ... I like the fact that you say that it took you a while to get up to speed and learn it.
You are very detailed in your lesson, great teaching. Subscribed
Excellent lesson. I've been trying to figure out this wonderful solo for a long time. Love the style. You have it down!
Thanks very much Randy
Oh my 4 years........ Sir you did a GREAT JOB with explaining this. Would love to sit down and just jam some old 60s and 70s with you,,,,,,, what a great job you did.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
I would really like to hear "fool about you" by hank Williams sr
Dead solid perfect, as usual. Thanks, Randy!
Thanks a million!
awesome video! Hank would be proud and thanks for the Lesson!!!
Awesome! This is one of my favorite guitar solos of all-time. I wonder if Zeke knew Scotty Moore back then?? Also, did Zeke do the solo in --- "Rock Around The Clock???" Thank you Randy for all you do!! You're an outstanding teacher and your lessons are very well organized and easy to follow. Thank you!
@Dictum1 Got it. Thank you Dictum 1 for taking the time in responding to my inquiry.
Thanks for an excellent tutorial on an iconic country guitar solo! This style of guitar is wonderful but sadly overlooked and forgotten by most so called country music fans. Also the tone of your guitar is very close to the original. Well done!
Rock around the Clock solo was played by Danny Cedrone.
I think Hank Williams could have arguably been the first rocker. Listen to a song he did called “ Rockin chair money”. He was singing about rockin before anyone else
He certainly had some rockin' tunes in his repertoire
How about a lesson on Mind your own business solo?
Yes, that's a great one too!
Great picking and playing Randy!
Hey Randy! Do you have this Tab that I can sample while I learn? Good job!!!
Thanks, Randy.
Great as always randy! I'll have a request, but no stress, the solo in don Gibsons blue blue day, its a great one and I know you handle it easy , keep up the good work !
That's more of a jazz guitar line but it's in a country song so that makes it trickey to narrow down.
Out of my league ,but great lesson Randy!
Randy, are those actual P90s in your Guild or are they the Franz pickups?
They are Lindy Fralin P90s
@@ducktailcat Thanks so much! I have a newer X-175b and am really not getting along with the Franz pickups which are just way too bright and was thinking about putting proper P90s in it but I've seen others say they're not a drop-in replacement and can be complicated to install. Nice to see that at least it CAN be done (even if yours is not one of the newer models). Love your courses, BTW!
What scales or arpeggios is Zeke Turner revolving his soloing around? It looks like some major and minor pentatonic. Would greatly appreciate it if someone could clear the haze for me!
It's almost entirely the major diatonic scale with some passing tones in berween. He added the minor third in some places for a more bluesy flavor.
Randy Richter thanks a lot! Love your videos. Thanks for all the knowledge and information you provide! You really inspired me to play rockabilly guitar, and now it’s one of my favorites..
I've been working on this for ages, and have everything up to speed except that run! So frustrating! Any suggestions?
Well, just keep practicing this part. Start slow with only 4-6 notes until you can play those clean. Use a metronome!!! Start slow and and work your way up. Don't try to rush things.
However, there is always naturally a limit for each player. Without knowing you I can't tell if you have reached the limit yet or not.
@@ducktailcat Thank you for the advice, Randy. I'll keep working on it! And maybe I will finally put my metronome to good use! (I just never seem to take the extra step to set it up!)
please do "zeke's guitar boogie"
I just wrote it on my request list. I just don't know yet when I will have the time to do it
Thank you for your suggestion!
