- I have throat cancer…once I was diagnosed I wanted to know more and found that RUclips didn’t have anyone documenting their journey. So i am going to do that in hopes it helps someone having to deal with this.
My throat cancer journey will be different than everyone’s however the process of radiation therapy is basically the same. What’s not the same is the severity (stages of cancer) being treated and the physical effects vary by person.
Regardless this is my story. For everyone beginning this journey, during or after … tell urself just one more day.

I finished treatment 16 out of 33 on Friday. Today is Sunday. I am feeling many of the same side effects. My voice comes and goes and at times isn't much more than a whisper. I have the same sore throat and lump like feeling. I was given the magic mouthwash about 2 weeks ago but I haven't used it yet.
Hope ur doing ok with ur treatment …hang in…its only a small part of ur life and it will be over soon. I’m praying for u and ur family🙏🤘🏼
When my husband was prescribed prednisone his face was beet red
Bro I hope I fair as well as you did, I got 7 weeks of radiation starting next week. Stage 2 , I'm definitely asking for the steroids 😂

@@vanessas2363 hello Vanessa, Im doing ok, my doctor cut my treatments down to 28 instead of 35. I have 2 more left. These last few days have been the worst of it thus far. Tell your friend I'll be praying for him.
Go get him a Cuisinart, lol...by week 3 solid foods are out.

How did you keep the beard during radiation treatment.? Mine still hasn’t grown back completely.

Hey there, your videos have been a godsend! I’m at day 15, my voice comes and goes but the sore throat is brutal! Let me ask you a question, if it wasn’t for the steroids would your throat still be sore? I have tried everything, only salt water gargle is slightly helpful. Haven’t been able to eat hardly anything, it’s like barbed wire when I swallow. Just curious, thank you so much for your videos!
Hang in there ...The steroids helped keep my airways open and cut down on all the swelling>>>. It did still hurt so I lived off off soup basically and chewed it up more than normal. Soup and popsicles and ice cream ...sometime like 7 ice pops in a row LOL
