I love this music so much. It is not of my personal heritage or culture, but I appreciate the soul and passion. I play clarinet and I love how this instrument is such a vital voice of so many cultures and their folk music. Klezmer clarinet is something special, for sure.

I love it too, just want to add my love of the tempo variations. Slow, fast and back again. And always "on the edge" between sad and happy. It changes with just one note. ♥

I knew a Klezmer performer once, he had never heard the music himself. 'How is it yo dance so well', I asked him, 'having never heard the music?' 'How can you call what I'm dancing to 'music', he answered: ' even I can only hear my heart beating..'

That is such nonsense. There were dozens of Jewish musicians who played in the Displaced Persons camps after the War.

I love his softness of tone, his restraint.
So many of the good ones are out front from beginning to end; Giora plays with dynamic range and humbleness.
    Lovely, lovely music. Thank you.
