EXACTLY WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING. It's like this with every fighting game genre, 3d, 2d, anime, tag based, arena. The systems are what make the fighting nuanced and complex. Not the speed of the game, not the button inputs, ITS THE SYSTEMS! This breakdown is goated. I for one will be checking out both sparking blast and Bleach when they drop :D excellent work as always Yaya you the goat!
Mmm I somewhat agree not with everything tho, inputs, how fast combat is a long with depth of combos add on to the complexity even in terms of cognitive functions in giving you more to learn and adjust as u learn (whether you or not, I like that personally) mechanic we're simply added to give the game even more depth. To spice things up between games . U can compare a game like BlazBlue cf vs granblue fantasy versus Both good games fun to play but in terms of complexity in all subjects from pace of combat, combos, mechanics & inputs Cf dog walks fantasy versus. If an game is limited (which is fine, just gotta be real about it) The mechanic will be limited too because the intention is to simplify and make things easier (devs word) The more depth the games the more the mechanic of the game will shine.
Definitely believe that all this game needs to do is just be a good game. I think people (especially FGC glazers) focus too much on something being made only for competitive players or for competitive sake and believe that's what makes a good game.
I mean most fighting are made for casual and are intentionally made more simple to make things easier. Honestly regardless of how complex or simple a fighting game is the competitiveness naturally come from two people it always happen no matter if you're playing serious or for fun both player are playing for the challenge you can provide or overcome
Right as I saw it, the trailer showcased how much style was put into it, the ost already sounding 🔥, and gameplay looking fun. Story for sure would be fun to go through a lot of the arcs, especially for anyone who don’t know much about Bleach. Definitely appreciate the info on the the devs past experience 🔥
When I first watched the trailer and checked the website, I definitely felt that there was more going on than in something like My Hero or Naruto. God Bless for that. Tamsoft also has...certainly interesting track record (history also suggests that they at least have been around and understand actual fighting games) so part of me is wickedly curious to see what they end up cooking for us. As Bleach fan l'm also loving what looks like some sort of counter mechanic that happens between Ishida and Renji where the former appears behind shocked Renji because Kubo loves to use that "Someone appearing behind shocked-looking individual"-composition in his manga. EN: Hoping that Lost Agent, TYBW and CFYOW will come as DLC because I want to main my Tsukishima-sensei, CFYOW Hisagi or Tokinada.

This is the Insomniac opportunity Tamsoft has been given. Insomniac was always known for good games, but they absolutely shattered expectations and threw their meat on the table for Sony Spiderman. Tamsoft releasing an amazing Bleach game and a successful Arena Fighter in this ERA will boost them into the stratosphere.
Nah TYBW being DLC won't do it justice. I'd rather have a sequel game, so The game devs will likely improve upon what is in Rebirth of souls. Like Even if it ends up as a generally good game. People will still have some parts that they will like to get fixed or to be improved upon.
The arena fighter format is "perfect" for shonen battle manga, the problem is these companies have been giving us absolute dog s*** games. But if they have talented and passionate devs they can create something amazing like DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and now Sparking Zero. I hope BLEACH gets that type of treatment.

this game should be easy to pick up but hard to master with room for improvement with the possibility to be competetive
