What a crazy game really, I started playing it back in June of 2017 but I was stuck in some area, returned recently and beat it, I should have tried harder when I was stuck, but it doesn't matter now. This game is awesome and we need more games like Prey 2017
This game was so under appreciated. This game is legitimately fucking fantastic and the music only makes it more atmospheric and enjoyable throughout its runtime.
I just decided to go back and replay this game. This is the first time I actually listened to the lyrics of this song. The first thing you hear in the game is “now it’s time to beat the mind game”?! Bro, the foreshadowing in this game is nuts.
to anyone still on the edge about buying this? fucking do it. I played the original prey and they have nothing to do with eachother, and im ok with that... because this was an incredible ride, and I like a different story also this song is killer, I love it
It's bullshit how they canceled it just because they wanted to work on more "popular titles" these greedy ass corporations are getting on my nerves, scratch that they've been on my nerves
I was having a shitty evening, I opened spotify and listened to Prey's soundtrack. I loved every single second of it, but after the fifth track I fell asleep because it kinda soothed me. When I woke up (when Mind Game started) my headache and tachycardia were gone and I felt very calm. It seems like it made a very good effect on me, I love it! Now I'm listening to it all for the second time (and I'm awake ;) ) thanks guys, can't wait to play the game!!
But, you get cool alien powers to mess around with. Surely your memory is a small price to pay. Oh, and your brother is going in the mad scientist hall of fame. But besides that...
Great track, loving the music of Prey so far, good job. Boggles the _mind_ to see comments saying the OST/Music of Prey is garbage. Only complaint I have about the music/sound design is the Mimic encounter music track a bit too loud and obnoxious every single time the player fights a Mimic, other than that, what I've heard sounds great. Less than a week to go!
Are you the real Raphael Colantonio? Wow, thanks for the response! I'm a big fan of Arkane, love your development teams work and cannot wait to play Prey, it's looking like another stellar gem from you guys & gals at Arkane. Best of luck to the entire team and I hope Prey has a fantastic launch. Take care.
Prey was the last great game in the Shock series/genre that I played. And it’s a fitting bookend to what started with the original System Shock. Both in its quality, and the fact that it was basically ignored by the gaming community. In tragic irony, it answers the question of why games like this aren’t made anymore: “Because most people aren’t interested in them.”
Today I finished this game, which is incredible. What a great atmosphere and storyline. I hope Arkane Studios will make the second part. Wish U luck guys. You are great devs.
Alberto Mollinedo This Prey was so good, I absolutely loved it and was constantly surprised even after watching Rythian play through it! It’s a shame it flopped, I would absolutely love a sequel of this version.
Never heard of this game until about a month ago and just finished it, I was blown away. You can tell a lot of effort went into it, I don’t know whether it was advertised poorly or i was just living under a rock back in 2017. Really liked this song too, the melody make me think of The Zephyr Song by RHCP.
I made this my alarm sound just like in the game. Now instead of waking up to the iPhone alarm sound of hell, I wake up to this to feel like I’m gonna accomplish something good in life lol
Here to pour one out for Arkane Austin and the best imsim ever made. And while we're at it, pour one out for Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, Roadhouse, and the original Prey developers Human Head. Microsoft NEVER should have been allowed to buy Bethesda and Activision.
Bethesda doesn't have anything to lose at this point. I have no hope that the next TES or Fallout will improve upon the previous ones. I'd sacrifice them to have saved Arkane any day
I bought this game on sale at a store, having never heard of it and boy am I glad I did! One of my favorite games now- an absolutely incredible experience all around! Would recommend this to anyone!

@@Q-gf8vb i mean it's complicated because incompetent (or captured) critics are a significant problem. At the same time without critics we have much less of a hedge against companies releasing absolute shit under a marketable name. @@californiantaco6458 dont play mind games with me boah
morgan is that yu?
Nah it's probably December lol
i wish Prey was more popular so it got a sequel, if any game deserves one its this
One of the best games ever, I hope it finds its audience over time to become a classic.
I’m about 10 hours in, it’s magnificent. So mad I didn’t get around to it sooner.
Played the game 4 times in a row, fucking love it.
Marc LS great me to bro
Beginning my 2nd play through tomorrow. Going Human Abilities only.
This song makes me to transform into a cup of coffee and drink myself.
among us from the perspective of the crewmate
Cannibalism??
What a crazy game really, I started playing it back in June of 2017 but I was stuck in some area, returned recently and beat it, I should have tried harder when I was stuck, but it doesn't matter now. This game is awesome and we need more games like Prey 2017
Yeah I was stuck in the cafeteria in crews quarter, I still remember that crap
This game was so under appreciated. This game is legitimately fucking fantastic and the music only makes it more atmospheric and enjoyable throughout its runtime.
I just decided to go back and replay this game. This is the first time I actually listened to the lyrics of this song.
The first thing you hear in the game is “now it’s time to beat the mind game”?!
Bro, the foreshadowing in this game is nuts.
to anyone still on the edge about buying this? fucking do it. I played the original prey and they have nothing to do with eachother, and im ok with that... because this was an incredible ride, and I like a different story
also this song is killer, I love it
Navadae i so agree with you
yes funking dooo it
Navadae Not to mention it's frequently sold at 25% RRP or less
Apparently this is supposed to be a system shock type game :0
Navadae this game is so much fun and scary all of the typhons are scary especially the nightmare
It's exactly 3 years after Prey released
Time fucking flies man
RIP Arkane Austin
It's bullshit how they canceled it just because they wanted to work on more "popular titles" these greedy ass corporations are getting on my nerves, scratch that they've been on my nerves
@@Nikolai-ti4prThey were promised "complete creative freedom" when many studios were bought in… totally bs
Now I'm listening to it all for the second time (and I'm awake ;) ) thanks guys, can't wait to play the game!!
e pare che il sig Colantonio abbia origini italiane, quindi lo ringrazio anche nella mia lingua, che mi riesce meglio :D
grazzie a te
"Maybe you should drop a couple of tons you fat bastard!" - ADC
No, no, that was the needle full of alien goo we stabbed into your eye.
...
what, you don't remember that?
funny cause this game causes tachycardia
I love when you finish a game, and you get such wonderful credits song at the end. It's so fullfilling.
Just beat the game with the neuralwave prototype. It was beautiful
One of the greatest soundtracks ever!
1:40 when the beat drops is the right stuff for my ears.
This game will forever be in my heart. I wish for a day the ip is given to people who care about this legend of a game
Just played this on GamePass. I don't know how I didn't play it sooner. It's in my top 10, very easily.
I came back to this song after finishing the game, and wow its such a spolier they put right at the beginning
it isnt a spoiler if you dont know any better
@@eepikki I know thats the beauty of it
One of the best games of all time 💯
This is the best wake up song. The only thing that worries me every morning is that my "reality" would only be fake.
Sound mix is fixed in final version. Thanks
Take care.
I haven't seen a single comment saying that
This game was absolute cinema
love this game so much! please... make prey 2
isn this prey 2 allready?
@@KeimoKissa what about the first one?

This song gets me super hyped for this game!
I wish I could wipe my memory and play this masterpiece as if it were the first time
Just do a Neuromod extraction surgery and you'll be just fine
Prey was the last great game in the Shock series/genre that I played. And it’s a fitting bookend to what started with the original System Shock. Both in its quality, and the fact that it was basically ignored by the gaming community. In tragic irony, it answers the question of why games like this aren’t made anymore: “Because most people aren’t interested in them.”
This just makes me want to replay the game even though I'm halfway done
Today I finished this game, which is incredible. What a great atmosphere and storyline. I hope Arkane Studios will make the second part. Wish U luck guys. You are great devs.
Prey is pure Pefection...
The music, gameplay, graphics, story, enemiesand even the goddamn mini events are sirously good animated!
"We're gonna shake things up. Just like the old days."
DOOM was a 10/10 game and I'm sure this will be an 11/10!
Nice job Arkane and Bethesda!
Alberto Mollinedo This Prey was so good, I absolutely loved it and was constantly surprised even after watching Rythian play through it! It’s a shame it flopped, I would absolutely love a sequel of this version.
Rafael Colantonio is a genius.
I heard of Prey before, but I never thought I would like it. I stumbled on this music.
I now shame myself from the past.
Never heard of this game until about a month ago and just finished it, I was blown away. You can tell a lot of effort went into it, I don’t know whether it was advertised poorly or i was just living under a rock back in 2017. Really liked this song too, the melody make me think of The Zephyr Song by RHCP.
I'm currently replaying Prey on new game + and having a blast.
Top 5 of my gaming list.
Happy Birthday Prey.
This game is some 3000 IQ shit. I love it.
Life is one hell of a mind game
I made this my alarm sound just like in the game. Now instead of waking up to the iPhone alarm sound of hell, I wake up to this to feel like I’m gonna accomplish something good in life lol
beat real life's mind game.
Beat the mind game of society
Just started to play a couples of days ago, instant love, this game Is amazing!
I played it back in 2018 and it left its mark on me. Amazing game indeed.
0:00 - 0:25 This duration can be used for Alarm Clock every morning :)
Let's get the beer
This song gave me chills at the end of the game! Thank you for you part in contributing to a great experience in this life!
This is like portal meets Daft Punk's Tron soundtrack
Here I am again, listening to this soundtrack for 200th time. Underrated classic of a game and even better soundtrack.
Amazing intro, amazing gameplay, amazing soundtrack, amazing ending.

being a fan of the original at first ill be honest i was kind of skeptical about this game. But this song....oh god this song brought me back the nostalgia somehow. I want this game!
Redmalion There is no original. The old Prey has nothing to do with this game.
When I first played prey I wasnt a huge fan and I just couldnt get into it but now after replaying and beating I absolutely love this game

4/10, IGN
Literally.
And people still give IGN a fair chance lmao.
They later changed the score to an 8 or something, but too bad metacritic didnt update it, so it's still a 4 from IGN there and affects the aggregate score lmao.
Do people seriously still take "game critics" seriously?
@@Q-gf8vb the general public? Yes. People who have more than half a brain? No
@ConanTheFan idk most people now dont take game reviews too seriously
@@Q-gf8vb i mean it's complicated because incompetent (or captured) critics are a significant problem.
At the same time without critics we have much less of a hedge against companies releasing absolute shit under a marketable name.
Which is why bethesda did it and while the first game they released like this was good, the skyrim legendary edition was a particularly buggy mess even for their open world games. Popular fanboy content creators got early editions of course.
Along the same lines, preordering is evil.
A masterpiece !
I don't know about you guys but for me this is "the game of the century"
Setting this for my alarm clock was the right choice.
Hunter i should do that lol
Hey @Hunter, you're burning daylight.
Hunter How do you do that?
MelonScotty19 That depends on your platform (iPhone, Android, or Windows phone), and what version you’re running. Your best bet is to google it, tbh.
Just finished the game for the second time its awesome . plus great soundtrack
Just finished this game yesterday and it blows me away that i haven't heard more people talk about it. Truly an underrated Gem and hopefully we see a sequel down the line.

I just beat Prey and it's hands down one of my favorite games I've played in a long time i hope they make a sequel.
I know I'm in the minority on this one, but I think this song is sooo much better than Everything is going to be Ok. I liked that as well, but this, when the game ended.. it was just perfect.
Agreed
Hey, it's your opinion.
But, yeah, their both good but this one might be a little bit better
