I'd argue Prey (2017) is EASILY one of Bethesda's top 3 games, if not it's best. The only games I can compare to it quality-wise are Fallout NV (which is technically a Bethesda game,) and of course Skyrim. Prey is the most replayable game I've played imo, it's story is terrifyingly intelligent, and the game mechanics work together PERFECTLY.
I only just purchased this game and played all the way through it earlier this week. I remember watching a few reviews that seemed to not find it that great back in the day, and never gave it a chance. But my gawd, this is one of the best games I have ever played. Runs like a dream.
Now that Mass Effect failed, all my GOTY hopes and dreams go into this glorious thing, Prey, as well as Kingdom Come. Let at least these two games be fantastic, dammit..

The more sythwave the better.
okay I'm buying this game now
As an old gamer who played hours / weeks of Ultima Underworld 1 & 2, Thief 1 & 2 and System Shock 1 & 2.... lol.... I CANT WAIT FOR THIS! ARKANE I PUT ALL MY FAITH AND TRUST IN YOU!
I just wish these kids with their "p r e y" comments would stop.
They literally never heard 80s music and now all of a sudden, they think they belong to the 80s.
Eh, vaporwave fans. I'm a fan of synthwave, and funny enough, a lot of 80's music rolls right off me.
golob13 wasn't it awesome!?
I too am a die hard fan of Arkane Studios and immersive sims. Is Anyone else here's all time favourite Dishonored 2?
@@Jman2113 Same for me, and I'm 37. New wave and typical 80's music leaves me rather cold.
They use 80's sound in a completely different way than they were used in the 80's. The BPMs are generally much slower, the kicks are smokier, the chord progressions are stoney, etc etc.
Sure, it SOUNDS like 80's music, but at the same time couldn't me more different.
This track is just gorgeous, so full of promise and euphoria.
"We're gonna shake things up, like old times."
You know, after playing the game three times over, I realize how much alex sucks
No Prey 2... No new Deus Ex... No Dishonored 3.... Videogames are dead...
So a e st h e t i c
Everyone goes nuts about Mick Gordorn's "Rip and Tear" and "BFG Division", but what about "Everything Will Be Ok"?
Man's chill tunes are just as good as his metal.
That’s how good future is presented for us in music. Modern, available technologies, fast economic growth, solutions for society issues... no problems, no wars, no arguments. Only humanity and science improvements.
and a coffee cup looking at me funny and weirdly not being where i left it... hmmm
Prey and Evil Within, both among my all-time favourite games. Screw you Microsoft
Wait what happend
@@KORSMKA Microsoft closed a few game studios, including those behind Prey and Evil Within/Hi-Fi Rush.
@@koosa6289 Well... I guess that's it then, neither Microsoft or Sony seem to be interested in what people want, we'll be stuck with shit games forever
Microsoft buying a studio as always been a death sentence. Rare wasn't a one time thing, it was just the beginning.
Hi-Fi Rush too. Best game of 2023 for me, and Prey is my favorite game ever. Not only will those games never get sequels, they won't get anything similar made by the same people. Life is pain
In preview: "Prey - Original Game Soundtrack - “Everything Is..."
Me: ...awesome?
Valkyrie777777 Everything is cool when you can turn into a banana
Ahem... BANANA JESUS!!!!
Prey: Get out.
the lego movie was a meme for .00001 nanoseconds then became a dead meme
I'd argue Prey (2017) is EASILY one of Bethesda's top 3 games, if not it's best. The only games I can compare to it quality-wise are Fallout NV (which is technically a Bethesda game,) and of course Skyrim.
Prey is the most replayable game I've played imo, it's story is terrifyingly intelligent, and the game mechanics work together PERFECTLY.
this is one of the perfect songs for just being in a zoom meeting, a coffee by your side, ready to start the day
thank you

check if the coffee cup is shaking
Mick Gordon could scrap styrofoam and nails against a chalkboard and it would sound awesome!
i always loved that the track seems to end, lowering the volume, and then kinda kick back in, softly.
Anyone else came here because microsoft shut the down the studio?
Prey is a masterpiece in every aspect and everytime i talk about it no one knows what it is
This is the same guy who composed Rip & Tear, BFG Division and The Only Thing They Fear is You... Such versatility, huh?
I only just purchased this game and played all the way through it earlier this week. I remember watching a few reviews that seemed to not find it that great back in the day, and never gave it a chance. But my gawd, this is one of the best games I have ever played. If you like sci-fi, horror, and games were you run around and loot a bunch of stuff, you have to give this game a chance. Underrated game, that I believe had it launched on the current systems, I have no doubt it'd be a major GOTY contender. Also, Kudos to Microsoft for FPS boosting this on Series consoles. Runs like a dream.
"Your office is relatively secure. You should rest up."
Now that Mass Effect failed, all my GOTY hopes and dreams go into this glorious thing, Prey, as well as Kingdom Come. Let at least these two games be fantastic, dammit..
and Prey ended up being something truly special
Well what did you think of Prey? I LOVED IT!
Was/Is Kingdom Come any good?
kingdom come was awful, but prey was really good
Yeah sadly kingdom come and it's dlc was hot gargabe, maybe mordhau will take it's place?
this game is incredible
I just finished this game and when this played at the credits it was fascinating... and then came the post credits scene
First time hearing this. I felt this song on a spiritual level 😩
In all seriousness though, I can't believe such an amazing song, and amazing game completely flew over my head. I may be five years late, but this is still awesome 😁
Though coming to this conclusion makes you a very special human
Better late than never 😎
Just finished this masterpiece of a game. It is AMAZING, GOTY and an instant cult classic. Wow! And i love that track :)
