Good video. But I have some comments being an ECOboost owner. 1: You can buy replacement O rings for the sump plug - I got a pack of 10 off E-Bay. The O ring doesn't always need changing. 2: Giving the fragility of these engines you have to decide if it is worth spending a little extra on your parts. A Ford oil filter and genuine Ford Castrol oil do not cost that much more and you will then be doing a 'dealer service'. I used that brand of oil on my old Golf and it made the engine noisy - I switched to Comma and the noise went away (I'm guessing hydraulic tappets). The Ford Castrol oil meets the Ford specification gauranteed - other oils may well not.

All very good points. In most cases it’s easier to buy the plug as they’re only a couple of quid and it’s 100 percent guaranteed to work. We hope 😂. Very good points on the oil too

Gem? I had a drive in one and found it very underwhelming. It felt no more powerful and was no more economical than the previous much more reliable Sigma VVT 1.6, and don't get me started on those belts in oil. :(

A gem for sure, maybe in the loosest possible sense of the word. Yeah, those wet belts. We’re sure they have some advantages… not sure what though 😂

I've got this car, and it has an oil leak. At 7:08 in this video, there is a grey cable in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. That has detached from the engine, and I'm not quite sure what it's for and how to reattach it. Can you offer me any advice please
