You did all that without meds?! I'm feeling your pain. At least the flight looked smooth, and the view was amazing. You deserve some time off. God bless you, man.
--Kurt, I've watched you drive for many years, you are one of the smoothest operators on the road; I too am a terrible passenger, the last time I took a taxi, I too feared for my life.
Hey SCHIMDT. You even take care of us even when you're not in 1st Class. We appreciate it. Even though the 🤯😖😣 that you going through. Just glad that you are SAFE. B SAFE SCHIMDT 🛫🛬 🚗💨💨💨💨

I completely understand about the driving thing. I don’t mind flying it’s the airports with all the people that get to me. Glad you made it home safely
I’m with you about flying. I used to fly quite a bit, for work, but the hassle just got to be too much. I finally told the company I would go if absolutely necessary, but otherwise find someone else. Retired 10 years ago and haven’t been on a plane since
Thanks again Kurt. You are one of my favorite YT habits. I am nearly 69yrs old and have never rented a car or rode in an Uber or Tesla. Heights put a fear in me so no airlines either. Good luck on the 1st Class repairs!
I only fly business or First, just for the leg room... I'm 6'5" and am NOT dealing with getting my knees smashed by someone in front of me reclining on my knees...
Trucker Schmidt you have the most exciting and fun videos. A trucker life in the US looks to be a barrell of fun. Hope you get on string of good luck now!🇬🇧🎸
I love your videos, Kurt. Being a Nebraska kid and having lived in Charles City, Iowa, you bring me back to those roots with extreme joy. Living in New Zealand for the past three decades, but you keep me grounded in my roots. I enjoy every episode. You are blessed. I enjoy each ride!
Kurt you are.so fortunate to still.have your Dad to interact.with Last Saturday.was 26 years since my Dad left us aged 81 and i still have regrets about what we.did and what we should have done. Those airports and airlines are only Ubers with wings. Your Father seems a great guy.
When I was a young man.......Too long ago to remember, I ran LTL. My home terminal was half way between St Louis and Chi Town. I use to deliver loads right down on the tarmac to go on the planes ( Flying Tigers, TWA, Fed X). My STL terminal was three blocks south of Lambert (any old Next Day Motor Freight Drivers out there?)...........once I was a young man.............that crap turned me old!!!! Then I graduated the Sheriff's Training Academy at Forty.............16 1/2 years later I had a stroke & widow maker heart attack. Once I was a young man...................now I go fishing and dream of my bucket list of double clutching a rig.......no freaking auto for me.........I'm old school!
Geez I thought you were older than me,I’ve never been in one of them recycled pop cans and I don’t wanna.I’m glad ya made it home safe bud, enjoy some family time.
Happy you made it home. Sorry about the truck. It happens man. You’ll be back at it in first class in no time and it will be like it never happened. It’s our worst nightmare to break down on the road but it’s part of it. Some how we always make it thru.
Was looking forward to this video, and you didn't disappoint. Certainly an adventure you didn't need but an adventure none the less. The cost is always the buzz kill.
Glad you made it home!! Your flight reminded me of all the times I had to fly for my job! After the first one, the rest were a piece of cake!! Like a couple other post, you being tall makes for no room in a window seat on the plane! Your $100 for your uber ride, he had to pay for that Teslesa and the electricity to charge it!! (you did your part to keep things "Green" 😁)
Hi there. I am glad you survived the Uber & plane ride. Welcome back 2 Omaha. I am hoping to meet you one of these times when you are here. Good 2, see everyone. Your Dad is one the nicest guys out there. Your mom is so sweet. ❤Have a blessed night & week ahead 🙏🏻 ✝️ 💕
Driving around Boston was always similar to Chicago. Those drivers are crazy, but really good. The beltways around the city are like Daytona and Indy. 85-90mph bumper to bumper 😂
Now that was a fun video to watch, It was hilarious. Thank you so much for sharing this adventure. Tell Uber Dad not to let Tatar Tot know what he enjoyed in his youth. Ha! Ha! Now get First Class back to work, you need to pay that bill.
Love the country. The hassle and Brussel isn't for me. Ive never flown hope i never do so thanks for the view but so glad tje wheels didn't fall off like some have been doing lately. 😊
Teslas arent designed for big guys! Im one too. I know how you feel about riding in a car with somebody else driving, I think its a trucker thing too. You fly enough you will get used to it. I dont mind flying except I have to leave stuff behind as you now know.. You are lucky. Be safe brother!
At least yall dont have to worry about drought like we have here in Northeast Wyoming..weve had numerous wildfires already.. my poor grass is crunchy dry
I go to conventions a few times a year. I keep my room cleaner than my house. I put all the used towels in the tub and put all the trash in the bag and a thank you tip for the extra towels and coffee. I hate flying also. I am sitting there with no control and l am 35 thousand feet in the air.... and landing is just falling out of the sky...... l inherited the driving gene from my father. LOL
I really, really don’t like to fly but there’s nothing like the views from the window and I love that part! I’ve driven I80 many times over the years and it was fun to see it from the air. Thank you for sharing your adventure. I laughed at your wide-eyed look when you were in the Tesla! I’m a short woman and even I would have not been comfortable in that car. But, it was an experience to put in your back pocket for sure!
Great video---great shots from the airplane and from the airports--saw Iowa Speedway from above where they held the Indy car races this weekend on national tv. Good work.
Joe fromNew Jersey!! Kurt look at you man!! You did some things you never did before way to go!!LOL!! AND THERE IS UBER DAD FANTASTIC GLAD YOUR HOME BUD BE CAREFUL SEE YOU ON THE NEXT ONE!!😅😊
I've ridden in back seat of an UBER Tesla model 2 & in the back set, the ride was ROUHER than my for1980 GMC Sierra 3/4 ton pickup, but was only 5 miles to a Dr. appointment. 🙄🤠
I like to be sure I didn’t forget anything and trash is in trash can and towels on racks. I don’t dust or anything. I wondered about your side arm as soon as you said fly. 😊
FYI you can film the TSA check point, just not the screens of the monitors. The TSA actually has a memo put out in 2010 and re issued in 2018. The airport is a public place, you can film anywhere in the airport, on the plane it is up to the carrier. In the future you can go to a fixed base operation at the airport and ask if there is anyone going your way and share the fuel cost with them. It would probably send your anxiety through the roof. If you find a decent pilot he will keep you so busy helping fly the plane you won’t have time to worry. It would be a great experience for you.
While Kurt was walking past that GA airport in his last video, I was thinking the same thing. But, with my experience with those sorts of pilots, finding a "decent" one isn't known until it's too late. Folks in Iowa would know that with the Buddy Holly thing Clear Lake is famous for. I decided to let that thought pass.
Problem is Kurt's big, and quite tall, finding a GA aircraft that he would feel comfortable in is the hard part. Frankly for what 100LL fuel costs now-a-days, flying Southwest was probably less expensive and would definitely be more comfortable for Kurt. Remember, the story Kurt tells every once in a while "How 1st class got's it's name". When he flew a small regional carrier, to pick up his truck, and Kurt declined the suggestion he upgrade to 1st class, so he'd have a bit more leg room and he was pretty stressed with that flight. It wasn't till Paige dragged him to Costa Rica on a 737, a few years ago, that he started feeling more comfortable with flying. As for GA aircraft, when you're part of the chunkier crowd "like me", and you're doing your training in a 172, one of the first things you learn is weight & balance and CG. The second thing you learn, in the POH, is the maximum weight for the front two occupants is 400 lbs. The third thing you learn is at 210 lbs "mostly muscle" on a good day, makes it difficult, cause you need to find a skinny Instructor to keep #1 and #2 in spec.
Glad yer alive sir, what an experience!!! Glad you made it home safe. Loved your second Uber driver much more better. Stay safe, and I’ll watch for your next video.
you've got a great family.....i understand why you'd want to deal with the hassles of getting back.....family is good!! sorry for all you're having to go thru.....safe travels!!!

Yes! Thank you!
I always "tidy up " hotel rooms! I make sure that I don't leave personal stuff behind.

I don't like to fly anymore myself...in the service I had no problem with it but as I got older I started to dislike it more and more.
Scthmidt you have a great and dry sense of humour which I totally get. Hope all goes well for you all 👍
Glad to see you made it back home safe and sound. Hope those repairs go smoothly and easier on the pocketbook than your expecting
That was a cool video. The ending was really nice! I can definitely see why you love your hometown.
Kurt, good luck getting first class back on the road again. You’re an awesome RUclipsr.
Yes, we always tidy hotel rooms. Its just being polite. But I love flying especially takeoffs and landings :D cool vid, thanks!

One of the worst things about getting on a plane when you are tall is having to duck going in and coming out, and NO leg room and low ceiling.

All I put on my hotdogs is ketchup and maybe a little cheese. Mustard, never.
