    - Mana is an issue, can't afford consecration early on.
    Goes with divine strength.

    Only difference i went for spiritual focus asap not being able to be stopped while healing is huge. And when that deep in may as well get concentrate. Past that exactly what I had in mind

    8:21 its all about the gear you collect along the way. I had similar build as you but the key to my success was having a healing set of cloth gear (of the owl), a tank set which was mostly stamina plate, and a dps set which was mostly str/agi. Good guide

    Can you explain what the rotation/seals/aura to use when tanking and " " when solo grinding.
    Thank you
    For the video exactly what I was looking for

    • @nexya26

      Ret aura always
      Blessing of wisdom unless you’re not having mana issues
      Judge seal of wisdom, then seal of righteousness
      3+ mobs use full rank consecration, 2 mobs use lesser rank of consecration
      Hit all mobs with white damage, only judge seal of righteousness if you’ve got good mana and losing threat
      If you’re struggling with threat give everyone blessing if salvation, Higher level party members should need salvation anyway, as a tank you’re best off being the highest level, makes it 10x easier

    One thing i really missed in the last build was Spiritual Focus. I was thinking about dropping the two points in Improved Lay On Hands and put them in Spiritual Focus. I would like to hear your thoughts on that:)

    • @marlgames
      @marlgames  4 года назад +2

      I would drop Improved Seal of Righteousness if you want Spiritual Focus. At least it would be worth testing to see if you miss it while tanking. You can probably pretty easily make up the difference with more spell damage.

    Hey Marl have you played a Shaman? Orc Shaman is my alt, I would love to see your take on your favourite Shaman levelling spec. :) I also second Yuri's question below I find that seals, auras and blessings can be complicated through dungeon fights...

    • @eddgrs9193

      This video is good advice, you can be DPS , tank and healer, so you can easily find groups and level faster. Just remember that as retribution your main role is not to DPS, it is to take care of your group , you will be the off tank and off healer. With a good retribution paladin, a group will never wipe, unless they pull the whole instance.

    Thanks for the guide! I have a question though: isn’t it optimal to use Seal of Righteousness with Verigan’s Fist? From what I read SoC is only better with weapons which have attack speed of 3.50 and slower.

    • @marlgames
      @marlgames  4 года назад

      IMO SoC for 3.0 or slower is fine. Remember unlike SoR, it scales with the strength on your gear, your crit chance, and does extra judgement damage to stunned targets.

    • @Ghost-fe1vp
      @Ghost-fe1vp 4 года назад

      I also read the same but after getting level 29 I had to use a point into seal of Command and decided to test it out.
      After testing ive come to the conclusion that SoC is still amazing with faster weapons atleast for now. MY SOR adds 25 damage per hit and SoC adds 120 ona proc. It's proccing more than once per 5 hits so its definitely better.
      I'm pretty sure the idea that SoR is better comes from testing where your in combat forever which it would make up for its lower damage but as your running from mob to mob SoC has time to regenerate making it better.
      Also worth noting SoC procs can crit which is huge.
      And again.. Judgements of SoC into stuns do double damage.

    So is this basically a dungeon grind build? 10-52 I mean.

  • @DirtyxLarry

    Is there another version of this for just group healing and solo dps leveling? Maybe more streamlined removing anything that was tank specific?

    • @marlgames
      @marlgames  5 лет назад +7

      20/0/31 sounds like what you're asking for, so the difference would be filling out the Ret tree instead of going into Prot. One thing to consider though is if you rely on warriors to tank for you, you'll always be rolling against at least another person for plate dps loot. If you play tank you can just bring rogues and clothies with you ;)

  • @new-mi-oh8866

    I have a group with 3 other people; 2 hunters and a warlock and we only play these characters together (I'm playing pally of course) . Would you recommend this build in this situation or would you spec more into holy or prot in lieu of ret since the dps is already well covered?

    • @marlgames
      @marlgames  4 года назад +1

      Considering the 3 pets in the party you could go full holy to keep everything alive. That said, if you're ever caught solo questing believe me you will be happy to have Seal of Command and Imp Judgement. Paladins don't really struggle healing if they carry a set of intellect gear and some mana potions.
