I don't remember if I told you this but I used to live on the east coast of Florida when I was a kid. I lived in the hollywood/ Ft lauderdale area and then lived in Dania which was maybe less than 10 minutes from the ft lauderdale airport there. I had a an absolute blast living there back then and this was back in the early 80's I lived there form 82 to 85. Then I moved back down there from 88 to 92 then I lived on the west coast in the Tampa st pete area it was specifically Treasure Island and I loved it and I plan on going down there hopefully next year for my 50th birthday. Thank you for the video I don't know where you were in Florida on the east coast but it's looked like you were having a great time.

Sorry, but I have been scuba diving in Florida since 1982 and I did not care for sharks back then and I do not care for sharks today. My grandfather was the 2nd engineer on the SS East Indiana. It was a United States Merchant Marine ship that was built in 1940 by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Quincy, Massachusetts. It was named after the state of Indiana and was one of the 2,710 Liberty ships built during World War II. The ship was used to transport cargo during the war. They were 300 miles off the coast of Cape Town south Africa when they were torpedo and sunk within 2 minutes by a German submarine on November 3, 1942. My grandfather and his shipmates spent 13 days adrift and my grandfather was killed and eaten by sharks. One of the survives Stanley Maclean wrote the book, 13 Days Adrift. RIP Grandpop.

Very kewl Lauren lemon sharks and a great hammerhead I saw a couple of juvenile hammerheads right in Charlotte harbor last week amongst a few other large fish.

I have been a sailor for just about all my life, much to the happiness of my now departed grandfathers, ( Norwegian and German) merchant seamen, one of my grandfathers left me a Hans Christensen yacht, which I have restored , and we have been sailing this gorgeous girl ever since, both of my daughters are just like you Lauren ( yes Really) however younger than you, they have had salt spray in their lungs from birth ( if I was to fall overboard my two gorgeous daughters could Heave too) and save my sorry arse, my gorgeous and lovely daughters have blue salt water in their veins, dangerous open South Pacific Ocean situations are not a problem I can sleep knowing that night watch will be uneventful. Sailing mist of my 77 cool years. Never liked thinking of the water world below except on the ICW in Florida. Can't stand Gators. Not fund of shocks either. Fished for the in the Bahamas in the late 50s. Take chum from a day of fishing. Put on a huge hook and chain. Tie chain to dock and toss hook in water. Wait a few hows and come back. Find shark on chain on the bottom. My dad and brother were into fishing and diving. I didn't like that bit. Things were very different back then. Snorkeled off the barrier reef. Still don't like the world beneath. Still stay on top sailing, formerly flying. Swim great but don't like getting wet or dangling my feet in view of the water is lurking down there.
Swimming with sharks ... people food .... I watched sharks feeding frenzes ... and it's crazy they eat everything in site and one drops of blood will cause them to attack ...
