  • This video shows the complete restoration of the old Husgvarna TOMOS mz770 chainsaw.
    This chainsaw was made by TOMOS in the then Republic of Yugoslavia sometime between 1970 and 1980. The 650 and 770 models were very popular and they made a lot of them. Supposedly, at first civilians could not even buy them (in Yugoslavia) but only the owners of forestry companies, only a little later the market opened to the general public.
    The chainsaw was bought by my grandfather and he used it a lot for many years. Unfortunately, he could not sharpen or maintain it himself, let alone repair it. He just never learned, I don’t know if out of stubbornness or ignorance. He always carried it to a friend for maintenance, but because these visits were quite rare, the saw soon broke down and no longer ignited. Grandpa then bought a new one.
    I rediscovered this chainsaw when I was still in my first year of high school. Even then, I started disassemble it in hopes that I would restore it, but my schedule did not allow it. About two years later, I started again and also took the first few videos, but time again overtook me and I had to put the parts back in the box. In the meantime, I was gathering all the necessary spare parts I needed over the internet.
    In January of this year, I again had the opportunity to work on this project and decided to finish it. After much work later, she roared again! At first I had a lot of problems with adjusting the engine run, but in the end, after intensive troubleshooting, I managed to get the engine running to perfection.
    It’s not perfect yet as I’m still looking for the brake band for the chain brake as well as the labels. I haven't had a chance to try the saw also, because it's not time for logging yet.
    Expect a new video soon!

    Just for your knowledge I learned years ago fold a dollar bill 4 times and pass through the points before trying to start the damn thing. Worked for me from old loggers

    Kje si kupil dele kot bat pa tesnila?

    • @gajterpin2312
      @gajterpin2312  Год назад +1

      Večinoma na internetni trgovini Demetra, bata nisem menjal, je še original. Batne obročke sem pa posebaj naročil, sem samo napisal mere na google pa jih je našlo.

    Imam enako žago. Na 34:17 si napisal da si ponovno menjal filter in cev goriva. A si spet podrl ohišje ali se da to naredit brez podiranja?

    • @gajterpin2312
      @gajterpin2312  7 месяцев назад

      Nisem podiral ohišja. Filter snameš s cevke kar skozi pokrovček rezervoarja, nakar potegneš ven še cevkico skozi zgornjo stran bloka ( proti vplinjaču ).

      Ne vem če to piše na cilindru, so jih pa vljival v več krajih, tudi frgazarji niso v vseh isti.

    Гильза цилиндра чугун? Металл?

    • @gajterpin2312
      @gajterpin2312  Год назад +1

      I'm not 100% sure I understood the question correctly. The cylinder is one piece of metal, and yes it is cast iron.

      Živjo. Hvala za posnetek. A vas lahko prosim za pojasnitev? Kaj pomeni rumena cev min 25:01 oz. za kaj služi?

    • @gajterpin2312
      @gajterpin2312  2 года назад

      @@stjepanstivic9408 Zdravo! Tisto je cev odduška rezervoarja za bencin. Če tega oddušnega ventila ne bi bilo, bi v rezervoarju nastajel podtlak in vplinjač ne bi mogel vleči dovolj bencina. Cevkica tega odduška je pač samo speljana nekam ob stran...

      Imam jednu takvu u kolekciji Tomos. Računali smo da je moj otac s njom potrošio min. 1500 l goriva. On bi rekao da su tu pilu napravili kovači. Imao sam iza nje 61 isto Koper ali nije kao ova a imam i stariju 70e iz 1965.Trenutno tražim 2100 Husky. Good job. 🙋‍♂️🇭🇷
