Awesome video, very informative. Will be looking into my 6L50 this next weekend. Very similar issue, slowly engages in 1st, then shifts through normally. Never a problem with reverse.

Gary, I have a 2003 Jaguar S-type with a ZF6HP26. I recently changed the pan/filter and used Lifeguard 6 that fixed the 1st gear lurch at stop, but I still have a problem with 5 gear shifts. The transmission will go into safe mode usually the car will be hot when this happens.

Your rear stator bushing is probably worn out causing a leak in the E clutch apply oil, E clutch is on in 4TH-5TH and 6TH

Makes sense. The 6l45 was produced in the power glide plant in Strasbourg France, not the U.S. possibly the computer programming as well.

So did that check ball actually "shrink" or is it just worn out from moving around repeatedly on the separator plate? Shrinking of a solid pellet seems a bit questionable.

I have a question concerning the 62te transmission. I have an 09 journey sxt 3.5 motor 6 speed transmission. Ok. The first trouble I had I was driving down the highway and the transmission went into neutral. I pulled over immediately and called triple a and had it towed home. Put a quart of tranny fluid in it and it did perfectly. Several months later the side pan rusted and poured tranny fluid. Immediately stopped driving it and had the pan fixed. Put it all back together and I can drive around the block and it goes thru all the gears perfectly but after that it won't shift at all. Please help me.
