I loved the part where Morgana last hit auto attacked to steal the kill from her ADC, just as a proper Morgana supports do. Truly a League of Legends experience.

I actually love the idea of moving mid lane bushes further. It always felt like you have to be extra cautious on mid.
jungler could just walk out of the bush and you are dead , finally we can play mid in peace

@@carwithknIfe I'm low elo so idk but I always thought the point was to track the jungler so you can position yourself more savely. Close bushes rewarded map knowledge more and involved more stakes.

Yeah the last few years it's kinda felt like they are moving chairs around on the Titanic. Changing stuff but never addressing the fact that the game is getting worse and worse. Removing mythics, updating terrain, making interesting changes to baron and the jungle, etc. might actually be the first set of changes in a while which might stop that Titanic from sinking. Too early to say though, it looks cool but I need to see how the game feels first obviously.
Love the map changes. Love the fact that you try to make both sides feel equal to play on. The new paths look very exciting
My biggest gripe is ganking top and bot lane. It is more difficult to gank red side bot since they usually have better vision priority and not that easy to gank since it doesn't have that bush blue side have. same with blue side top lane of not so easy to gank and vision priority. Very excited for these changes indeed.
But... Isen't simmetrical since one side will have a tribush and one don't.
Plus with these changes so many jungler will get kicked in the guts while other will be quite glad.
I'm scared of the permanent turret damage buff...

@@july_paradox3094with the new camp at rift herald ganking top might be more viable or just grouping up as 2 and force a fight at the rift. There’s gonna be more action on top side in the early game now which is cool.

Can't wait for the rift changes to go from "woah that's new!" to "wait, there wasn't always a path here?" It's going to be really exciting learning the game all over again.
I haven't played in months, and now I get to essentially learn a brand new game!! This is so exciting!
This will require a lot of balancing down the line but im all for trying new and exciting changes to keep the game fresh and intresting. Glad to see riot is looking for ways to overhaul parts of the game that have gotten too linear and one dimensional.
just all those champs with dashes with slight nerf then it is fine, this year the champions are quite balanced imo, especially in worlds that there are nearly no overpicked champions

I downloaded this game back in 2014 - I played for a while but never competitively. I recently bought myself a new PC, after being a Macbook user for many years. So, now, I think it's time to get back on to the Rift and play some more!
Gonna miss our old days we passed in summoners rift 😪.

LOVING the new item tooltip. It is always nice to see space used to compartmentalize different sorts of information and makes it easier to read. Also nice use of colours and icons. Only thing I would change is putting the gold price under the name of the item because having it all alone in the upper right corner disturbs the flow of reading.

I actually like this. Trying new things most often leads to innovation. They might make more maps variations in the future too.

Actually really scared and excited for the upcoming changes. Hope this will lead to greater improvement of the league
most likely some champs will be crazy broken, and others will be crazy weak. This happens everytime riot makes huge changes, and people will complain to no end until the game stabalizes. Regardless, im excited for the new changes, at least things will get shaken up

Honestly I'm happy for anything. The past couple preseasons were pretty tame compared to the sweeping changes done between seasons 4-8. Can't wait to see how crazy the game becomes.
Yeah! The rift looks completely changed but still recognizable, and it's going to feel so new to fight the new monsters from the Nashor pit.
I mean season 11 was pretty insane since they completely overhauled the item system. Not good, but still crazy
there have been some crazy preseasons after S8, just after that, pre-season 9 with the new dark-harvest (crazy times), preseason 10 had the Elemental rifts, 11 full item overhaul, 12 the old chemtech 💀💀, if anything 13 was lackluster, and still made jungle play pokemon

Ngl the fistbump idea is amazing. There is tons of ways to show negativity, but few to show support, encouragement and share positivity. Feeding the poro in aram is dumb yet it’s one of the reason the mode is so chill. I think it will genuinely help to have fun and realise the toxicity doesn’t represent the silent majority
Yo you're spitting. The celebratory pings (unmuting team pings after a kill or objective) were actually a great change, and this another good step in that direction.

I am not sure how the terrain changes will work out specially on the top side - the brush seems way too small. And the new gank paths definitely take some getting used to.
The baron change is definitely the sickest thing though - thats an amazing change. Looks like 2024 is gonna be fun!
You cant gank top from redside now. Usually when one side has the entrance the other gets a wall brush. Just play for top if youre blue and you win every game. All that because toplaners refuse to ever watch map

Watching map means nothing when more and more of the map is being trivialized, especially as changes favor junglers (infernal drake cinders anyone?) and buffs/nerfs that constantly favor bot lane win cons making JG constantly focus bot lane and hold their hand 85% of the game. This change, as Riot puts it, allows us to focus on our laners more. So basically they are admitting we are an island. =)
In line with one of the last changes of tooltip simplification... It'd be nice to have the full stats of champion abilities in the client similar to how rune pages work, no?
If you come up with an epic season cinematic this year too, I could get hyped.

It's way too hard to gank top right now, while you can easily tower dive/gank mid or bot
I like every single change announced here. I wish we saw even more variety on the map so this is a definite move in the right direction. I hated mythics since they came in as they just made item choices and builds so linear, so glad to hear that has been scrapped. Jungle ganking made more difficult is great to hear, I hope this isn't just a direct big buff to unconventional gankers like Kayn, Zac, Rek'Sai etc. Support item changes make a lot of sense. I think this is the most promising pre-season yet, purely because it is just a straight-improvement to the game itself, regardless of champion or class.
Nah the one where you can get small buffs simply for killing a rival champion is a bit silly imo. If there’s one champion that counters the other they’ll always be getting that buff basically

@@QuantumNetwork understandable, but its still a game and this is definitely a fun little qol update thats always existed but was never given any attention. he even states that its not very impactful n we know its not going to make or break any match. its fun, lighthearted n silly w little impact on the actual game
It looks like the item choices are going to get even more linear. Most champs could run several mythics in their build depending on what the champ or player needed or preferred.
@@rezmisit is a strategic game, adding more gamey elements will make it feel less so. If you're hard countered by a champ that also gets a bonus for killing you the gain will spiral out. This also goes for if it's an even match.
We'll see if the new, harder gang setup works out, but I liked how the hold rift herald and baron looked
I started playing this game before mythic items and it was a much better game. I always felt like I have to build this item first, before mythic items you can build any item you wanted first and not rely on a items bonus.
I love the Void theme though. I hope in future updates they'll be themed on certain areas of Runeterra, seems like a great rotation method :D

This would genuinely be so cool! It would increase a bit the randomness in each game, like the elemental Drakes are already doing, but it would also add more ways to approach each game
I wouldn't have my expectations so high because there are too many regions and it would be difficult to implement all of them. I think they will only do it with the void because in Runeterra, the void is the enemy of everyone, it is a unanimous evil, for this reason and with the fact that the man and the herald have always been there, I think they will only do it with the void.
but I do think that they will do events from other regions like the spiritual rose one that they did in Ionia and included the event of nexus blits
Compared to the current season changes this looks a whole lot better. Hope everyone is gonna enjoy these changes cause they actually look promising!

The new map is one of the best things they have done in a while. There has been a ton of new champions and a lot more mobility so its good that the map is adapting to the new gameplay.
I.cant say yet because I did not play on the new map, but the changes will turn already immobile champions into dead champions

@moxrelated764 alot of these changes help make the mobile champions a little worse (mid lane brushes being pushed back, the walls being thicker by turrets to make it even harder to flash/ability over walls

I really like they're improving the tooltips and the direction they're taking on items such as Zhonya's. Hope to see more item changes like Zhonyas to accommodate more builds on different champions.
I hope they drop they base stats down to 40 though. Cause I'm already picturing myself playing a 2 item power spike adc, builinding zhonyas 3rd and never dying
@@evan8892That would be better for most ADC's? Unless they use ap stats that low would merit it being cheaper.
@longingsoul1 I simply think that 60 is pretty high. Yea it's better for adcs. Don't get me wrong I love the zhonyas change but if I coils build that as 3rd item while playing a marksman, like Nilah, who can build a 2 item spike for relatively cheaper since she builds collector, it completely reduces the impact of assassins mid game
Ezreal could def use it but he already can go Frozen Heart.

I’m really hoping we get a void refresh. ChoGath really needs an ASU, Kog needs at the very least a passive that suits his role better. Would be great to see some of the older champs be brought to the modern day. Pretty sure like half of Kassadins VO is related to his old ability to silence 😬
the music changing throughout the game is such nice touch
First of all, this video was scripted amazingly. I especially loved the slightly humorous speed up summary at the end. Second of all, these changes look ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. QoL changes, massive gameplay changes, tons of easter eggs like the champion quests, cool new details, etc. I'm especially excited about the support item changes and I can't wait to see how much more flexible it feels, because it really did feel a little pidgeon-hole'y before. Finally a new season I'm super genuinely excited for!

@@Patrick_Spack I think he meant Season 4, pre-Season 4 Rift is definitely not the same. Like except the 3 lanes and the river you wouldnt recognize anything, like here yes the wall and bushes changed over the years but you can still recognize SR as SR.

Happy to see more champ interactions. The rengar/khazix one for example is incredibly wonderful and the game needs more of these.

I've played league on and off for years, but this might just bring me back into trying to casually enjoy this game again. This season looks like a phenomenal attempt into balancing the map to the new standard of mobility champs have.
i'm most looking forward to the map changes and surprisingly, them simplifying items. i think a lot of frustration in the game comes from early ganks and side differences (i.e i'm easy to gank but my opponent isn't), and making items easier to understand should be super helpful for new players, as well as us veterans trying to relearn dozens of items
One of my least favorite things is noticing a cool combo, but realizing I need two mythics for it, so I'm excited to have some nonsense builds.

As Senna OTP I am a bit worried that my Q will execute the minion I targeted to hit the enemy champion, which I would NOT like.. hopefully you thought of that..

The changes actually look so good! I'm definitely the happiest about the most minor change - champion quests. Such a small detail but a fun interaction.

It's about time there's some new major changes. I came back after 6 years and was disappointed how the game was still the same, in terms of the map.
I hope they make this a yearly thing. The game really needs some more effort put into it besides item and champion changes.
It's gonna feel odd with the new map changes, just like it did when they first made the changes to top and bot lane, but at some point, it will feel like it was always in the game.

Ganking botlane and the adc jumping to the alclove tk use ranged advantage is annoying
exactly what I felt was lacking from last pre season, looks really good. honestly really excited about the next season!
Love the change overal, but hated the scruttle change, sad face for support ward, now you gotta time the barron, but warding in enemy jg or other location make far more sense.
Ivern is gonna be really interesting with these new tankier buffs... Hope daisy doesn't bug with the void changes.
I actually kinda like the objective focus and map changes, the game has felt stale for awhile so i haven't kept up a whole lot with League but this looks like a nice change of pace. Junglers and team communication seem much more important especially counter jungling those void buffs. Hope this season turns out well it looks fun!
That's the thing though. No one communicates with the jungler. They just flame him so now not being able to gank and then if you play a slower clearing jungle. If you don't get the void links because you don't do enough damage then everyone on The opposing team pretty much just gets infinite buffs, which in turn again helps split pushing top laners that most people automatically AFK against when they go 0/2

I didn’t like that either. I feel like defeating infernal only to get rewarded “random” shards all over the map is not worth and kinda dumb. Leave the weird randomization stuff for Nexus blitz or other sidegames.

They are developing an MMO as of now but it would be cool if they brought back something like doom bots yknow, just a little extra thing that people could enjoy to get away from the angry side of league haha

This is going to be weird but I love it! Minus the fact that mythics are gone, that's going to be something that will be difficult for me to get used to as I only just recently got ahold of what mythics I need to buy for certain champs in norms to go against my enemy lanner T^T

To every jungler coming from blue. Its ungankable now well toplaners cried for so long they got it. Also redside gets a bush and an entrance so if you get left side top just know u will lose its a 2v1👍. Riot back at it

I hope you bring back the Christmas map and with the new update you fix the problems with your client like unable to select roles, screen spluttering, unable to click certain tabs without the client breaking, game invites not working, clicking play then hearing the music but nothing is appearing on the screen.... I could really go on for more
