I am glad item recommendations are gone. The meta changes so fast that the item recomendations could easily become outdated. Specially with the mythics being removed next season. Its best to focus on what is less likely to change, since thankfull6, i doubt this champion is gonna be anything like akali, irelia or sylas, who all had to have several parts of their kits removed.

Actually doesn't look half bad and is an interesting concept for once. I was afraid about the ultimate being totally overpowered, but hitting it at long requires some skill and luck, so I'm fine with that. She just seems like a straight up Champion with good strengths and weaknesses.

He killed them, but he also died, and after that he was AFRAID of missing ults, because it's exactly as you say, a no-abort launch. Hit someone you don't want to hit and you're just... Dead. Or at best get a 1 for 1.

Ive played league for like 10 years at this point and I couldnt imagine how over whelming the game is for new players. This format is great I think for that demograph.

Actually one of the best Champion spotlights of all time! Great concise explanations and comparisons to existing champions. (It may help that Briar is not overloaded with complicated abilities/passives.)
Warwick is a good analogy here because he needs to fully commit to a chase with nothing but his ult to escape or gap close. With briar you gain more mobility tools, but because of the self taunt you must be aware of when its a good idea to commit to a chase.
Honestly I've been wanting to try jungle for awhile but I was super nervous being a support main trying to learn a new role and figuring out what champs I need to get to find my playstyle. Briar looks like the kind of champ I can get behind mechanically. The section at the end that gives examples of other champions playstyles was a perfect addition and I hope they continue doing that going forward for future champions and reworks cause this game has changed so much that it's hard for newbies and returning players who haven't played for awhile (myself included) who have no idea what the state of the game in the rift is like.
i started playing league in 2020 played that year and didnt play really any in 2021 but i started as a support main then the next season i started jungle i also made an account to learn mid as i didnt want to learn how to cs in gold elo lol but going from support to jungle felt very natural as it works with support mindset of warding and more map awareness than laner usually have bc youre already used to roaming and looking to help somewhere else. The problem would be what you've already said and thats learning how new champs work lol i found ww with his w passive makes learnign the jungle and looking for ganks and rotations much easier than playing something like yi. Just some beginner friendly champ examples
briar looks like one of those champs that you either hard win or hard lose with though i feel like its all goign to be on how the early game goes for you but i haven't played her yet so im unsure. Good luck i think jungle is probably the most fun role next to support.

Honestly I feel she's gonna fill a similar niche as Nocturne. Having a way to join teamfights or gank from anywhere on the map is kinda nutty, especially when people master her ult. Otherwise the rest of her is crazy unique! It's neat they made this concept work so well.
I don't know much about lol Lore, but I knew there was some significance when I saw the 3 panel 1v1's. Apparently Leona/Diana and Urgot/Camille have history together. I like that they sprinkle Lore bits into the Spotlights.
I like how they specifically point out that she likes to target low mobility champions. "Not only do we design new champions to be OP, we've specifically designed this one to bully our old champions."

Played her on the PBE. It felt good playing leagues 3rd "echo fighter" champ. Felt similar enough to her counterpart in strength but different enough in practice to distinguish her as her own champ.

The champions looks fine with a clear strength and weakness. That's very rare. I might actually save up to get her just for the kicks. While Riot August is sort of half half in terms of champion design, the big redeeming quality is he's not as stupid as certainlyt.

Specially the fact that she just EATS PEOPLE, and not even in the "Ohohoh I eat people *wink*" but in the actual, monstrous kinda way. Also love the ending of this spotlight comparing her to other champs. Gives a better perspective of the champ.

Crimson curse (the no regen of health) is something Warwick needed to make his ridiculous passive lifesteal actually feel balanced. This is a really cool balance decision that, akin to Kled's gimmick of charging at enemies while small and getting scarle back with enough aggro, forces her to play for the kill, and stay hungry/aggressive. Very on theme.
Great review and great champ! It felt Rito really dipped a bit in quality and interesting ideas for a while compared to what they used to do after being burnt out with all the crunch and restructuring they were doing, but this looks like they're on their way back to the roots of quality content

I will main her for sure. I already tryed out Briar on PBE and she is so fun to play. And i like her character design so much!
