First I saw the deathclaw skull and was like “oh sweet!” Then it panned out to show new vegas and then I was like “OH SHIT!”

@welshboi2228 I remember starting out and trying to take a shortcut to Novac. I ended up getting ambushed by a Blind Deathclaw. It took everything I had but I killed it. I was so proud of myself for it. So I continued on and accidentally ended up aggroing about 4 or 5 Deathclaws nearby. Pretty much defenseless, I ran into a cabin and it overwrote my Autosave. I was trapped. Lol I ended up having to restart almost at the beginning. I learned to Save more often after that.
@@SteveTheguynextdoor I have 425 hours in the game and have never once went through the quarry lol. I always take the route through Nipton so I can join the legion quickly.
@gabemissouri The Quarry is dangerous but if you take the wrong route after Nipton, you'll also run into a plethora of Deathclaws.

Could be the Yes Man ending and he just doesn’t know that House is gone yet, if New Vegas is in a bad state then it could be because of the tunnelers from Lonesome Road having made their way into New Vegas like Ulysses predicted. Hopefully we’ll get to see some of the tech that the Courier is said to have introduced sometime after the events of New Vegas when season 2 comes around.

I think they played “my echo, my shadow, and me” here for a reason. All three characters seem to reflect each other in that way.
They are all connected and everyone of them will probably be looking for Hank's head come S2 end.
that's fire ngl, Maximus being Lucy's echo for him to find, and Coop being Lucy's shadow that serves as a reminder on what happens to all goody-two-shoes in the Wasteland

Actually that's a great line of thinking. Compare the scene of the nukes dropping to the raiders attacking Lucy's Vault and the tape burning. Same beginning, perhaps a different end?
Moldaver was an underrated villain for how little screentime she got. I love that even though the NCR is fractured and broken, all that matters to her is that Humanity gets cold fusion for a better world even if it means the brotherhood got it.

She's clearly a villain, but I think the point of the story is that everyone is a villain in a world like this. Or at least everyone ends up that way when they get a sniff of power. Moldaver, BoS, Vault-Tec remnants, etc. The methods of villainy merely differ, that's all.

The BoS pulled an Enclave. They raided the Observatory like the Enclave did to project purity.
The BoS has basically been the new Enclave since Fallout 4.

My theory:
New Vegas is in ruins because of the Tunnelers. Ulysses said they were slowly burrowing towards the Mojave, and this scene takes place 15 years after that. He also mentions that Deathclaws can’t even fight them, hence the Deathclaw skulls here and in the ending credits.
So fallout new Vegas Dust will be canon, right?

It's fallout 1 esque because of it's faction and information war, you only know part fact or interpretation. Maximus being promoted to Knight may come with more burdens than the weight of the armour, he'll be expected to be a dutiful subsidiary of the Brotherhood's techno-probation doctrine which goes against his actions towards Lucy keeping the Cold Fusion Artefact and now said artefact being in the brotherhood's hands with Moldaver's words setting after her death. The world will need to adapt for the new future that vault-tek and pre war society brought upon America and not all those adaptations or interpretation's can mean definitive answer.

As much as I wanted to see a live Deathclaw in the show, I am glad they held off. Better off saving it for season 2, possible 3. But the skull was a nice touch.

My theory is that the NCR retreated to the north, and left small deposits of soldiers. What was left of the Mojave BOS and the Legion formed into their own faction, hence the Roman names and ranks.

Sadly it was not to be.I figured they would get someone else to play him even if Perry was still alive given how old he is.
Even if Matthew was still alive, Benny's death is canon in the games. That said, he wouldn't have to be Benny. He could just be anyone else, had he been alive. Hell, I would have accepted a short cameo role of him as a dealer or a gambler in one of the casinos with just one line. Unfortunately, we will never get that.

All the buildings are in decay, the streets are all torn up from what looks like a large battle, and there’s a massive hole in the gate. It’s far from the city of lights that we knew of.

Moldaver is actually not evil it’s Lucy’s father. The NCR was actually the good guys here. Shady Sands and the NCR as a whole were exactly what the mission of the vault dwellers were supposed to be. Rebuilt America or at least a version like it being the NCR. The NCR was a successful functioning democracy where its citizens lived in peace and life was as good as it could get being in a wasteland. As for the Brotherhood there evil as well. They don’t care about restoring democracy or peace to the wasteland all they care about is harboring technology for themselves. The NCR wanted cold fusion to restore power to Los Angeles and surrounding communities and it’s like Moldaver said what will the Brotherhood to with that power. Long Live the NCR
and now they are all six feet under. Long live The Brotherhood
She lead psycho raiders to kill innocent vault dwellers and from the games we know how fucked up those people can be. So yea shes evil and got what she deserved.
Aside from the few that were originally from vault 31, the people of vault 33 were innocent. And yet Moldaver tricked them into letting those raiders in and she set them upon the vault dwellers like a pack of hunting dogs, killing everyone in sight. They almost killed Lucy and Norm, Rose's children, and Moldaver was willing to gamble with their lives, didn't even try to protect them. All to get to Hank.
What ever cold fusion would mean, the moral thing to do would be to deny it to the wasteland if it cost so much as one innocent life.
She literally brung in raiders into a vault filled with innocent people including kids. If you know fallout you know raiders kill, eat and even R people. I mean we saw how a pregnant lady lost a fucking eye and almost died. So yes she is a straight up villain and like the villain she is she got what was coming to her though I argue she deserved worse.

Hank walking in the power armor with the rising sun in the back ground is just such a well shot clip.
Possibly an addition to Fallout's Western genre themes, the way that Maximus ' being falsely praised as a Brotherhood hero for allegedly killed NCR outlaw Moldover may be a reference to the James Stewart western, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance(1962).
It was a western where a law-binding Journalist is mistakenly praised for killing a murderous local outlaw, but the townsfolk encourage the lie to scare away anymore potential criminals from approaching their gentrified town.

Assuming that the Courier was in his early 30s when he conquered nevada, he would probably be in his 50's at this point. He did so much impact to new vegas it would be outrageous to not show him.

I have mixed feelings. She was kind of a hypocrite.
Yeah but she did hire a bunch of thugs to murder and pillage a vault. She was a cold killer like the rest of them. Her methods just as cruel. However, she WAS doing it for more utilitarian reasons for sure. She was a nice grey character. A very "ends justify the means" kind of character.

And if the Enclave had the reactor, then technically, Vault-Tec gave it to them before the Great War. And most importantly, this thing cannot stop the Great War, because only America has a monopoly on this energy.
In addition, she also survived the war and lived for about 200 more years, probably thanks to cryostasis.Vault-tec technologies. And as an option, she could tell the residents of Vault 32 about the secret of Vault 31, because of which Vault 32 was cut out, probably by Moldaver herself.Don’t trust her.She’s probably have a good plans about NCR but her hatred for Vault-Tec make her cruel.Plus her Cult of Personality in Vault 4 it’s kinda “She plays God”, just like Vault -Tec.

Looks like Hank took the road passed the NCR Checkpoint at the Mojave Outpost, Primm, Goodsprings, and finally Quarry Junction (hence the dead deathclaw skull probably killed by our character in New Vegas when/if we cleared it out).

Based on the landscape depicted and direction of California, Hank must have traversed past Jacobstown as the cliffside to the left is where you enter to set off for Honest Hearts.
It's sad that if the Brotherhood had more people like Danse and Lyons, they would actually be good.
Securing technology to form a stable governament and use that power to rebuild and help the population.
But instead, they just turned into Enclave 2.0

She was really really good, even though she didn't get to do a lot. Her subtle story is so heartbreaking.
She caused a bunch of innocent vault dwellers to die and nearly got Lucy & her brother (the children of her lover) killed.
@randeli7785 she also built a civilian sector in her headquarters as a deterrent yeah she was an asshole but her character was phenomenal
I did not like her. They made jer into a generic good guy in the e d while every other character and faction got villainized. Did not feel like Fallout to me.

Home.......how much I missed that strip
If the sun is rising behind Hank and he is walking towards the camera then that would mean he is walking west. Which doesn’t make much sense. Traveling from L.A. to Vegas would mean traveling East. Unless he also had to go around to 95 like the courier did. Also in the establishing shot we’re definitely looking at Vegas from the south since the rising sun is to the right and the Lucky 38 is on the left hand side of the city.
