Greg, I got on a Bluegrass kick about 6 months ago when I ran across the Moody Bluegrass Album. I just got tickets to see these guys at BillyBobs in Ft Worth. I’m from Helena Arkansas and Levon would have LOVED these guys. GodBless
Seldom Scene got me into Bluegrass in the late 70's. We would travel around to wild bluegrass festivals and sleep in the back of of an old huge Belvedere Station wagon. Eventually the festivals got too wild and crazy even for us. Love this rendition. Buttery smooth and beautiful.
3hangnail close but having seen and heard every grouping of the Seldom Scene since they began they do their signature song better than anyone. There is a Smithsonian Folkways version that brought back John Starling a couple years before he passed that is incredible
@@ImagemakerAi I just found this song. But I went back and listened to a few versions of Seldom Scene because of your comment. I have to say I think The Cleverly's version is the best I have found.
I believe the Cleverlys ace this number, and in my opinion does a much better job than Seldom Scene, especially in vocal blending. They hit it out of the park, keep up the good work!
First song I have ever heard that just doesn't get old regardless how many times I hear it.. Closest thing to time travel out there.. Whatever era this is from, I want more of it..!!
Dr. Digger yes has great vocals I agree, make chills down your arms on this song, little guy on maddlin can welp it out there too.... You just have to browse threw n find the song he does sing you would be impressed, but all hand down Dr. Digger and his whole family of males are great players and singers I have to it to him..I listen to I think about every song you would be impressed
I enjoy watching the Cleverlys because how great the y take songs that shouldn't be done as bluegrass and just kick butt. This song however even surpasses what they normally do. This is a beautiful version that just is awesome.
My all time fav is no diggity for obvious reasons.....but then y'all just hit me with this? Jesus...This is...this is what raw perfection sounds like. 💛🖤🎶
The Cleverlys are so damn funny, I love them. But some of the songs or interpretation of some songs goes straight to my heard and soul. And this is the one. Wow, wow, I love this version. Thank you
Aah "Seldom Scene" got their "Live at the Cellar Door" album on thu' big flat spinnin' black thang! Many moons ago. Thanks for the memories. Brilliant as usual, thanks again.
I'm a musician and I have always said that outside the silly outfits and act, these guys are a bunch of killers. Big talent
These guys are brilliant. And they have recognized it in others.
Facts
Just outstanding!
Definitely...and my favorite version of this song
they hit this one right on the head.
This is better than the original.
No way
How could anyone hit dislike on this?!? I’m not even a fan of the genre, but this absolutely stunned me! Goosebumps!
Same as i do, thanks
There are TROLLS everywhere and theY have NO SOUL.
I also don’t like slow songs either, but man this was good.
Haters hate.... They are a great band!
“Pure and old fashion communism” as Buford T. Justice would say.
Don't let the hats and outfits fool ya... such talent here.
close your eyes and the lead sounds like John Starling, these guys are good.
Travis Church ..Why You Got To Use God’s Name In Vain ?

Cant wait to see them in Brooksville in the spring
I've always considered the Eagles, one of, if not the greatest, harmonizing bands of all time. Then, I heard this. Great job.
A wonderful tribute to the late great John Duffy and Seldom Scene. The Cleverlys are the real deal.
No silliness here. Just outstanding musicianship. INCREDIBLE!!!!!
As much as I love their novelty act, it’s great to hear them do a serious song. I’d live for them to do a traditional bluegrass album.
I would love that as well! They are so talented and have such great harmony!
After Duffy passed, I didn’t think I’d ever hear anything close. I have to say, this is beautiful, you all did a great job. ❤️
I saw the Seldom Scene many times at BG festivals…,The Cleverly’s cover of Wait a Minute is pure BG Gold … 👍
Why isnt this a top country hit???
Best version ever. Digger's voice is amazing.
No disrespect, but better than the original. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
I keep coming back just to listen to those luscious, tasteful, expressive fiddle fills. Wow.
This is a real band. No doubt about it. Great picking and singing boys.

Love this rendition. Buttery smooth and beautiful.
These guys get laughs cause they want to. They're as polished and tight as any. This is beautiful
Most bands aren’t this tight in the studio. These guys are phenomenal!
Talented musicians. They can be serious when they want to be.
they should do more.
No disrespect to anyone but, I think this is the best I have heard on this song. Very tight.
3hangnail close but having seen and heard every grouping of the Seldom Scene since they began they do their signature song better than anyone. There is a Smithsonian Folkways version that brought back John Starling a couple years before he passed that is incredible

I think the Seldom Scene of course do it better. But it is clear this rendition is done with a sense of love and tribute. Well, done.
It's a great version. I only discovered this wonderful song recently through the version Saintseneca did.
I agree. Beautiful.
This is absolutely the best cover of one of the best songs ever written. I felt it all over.
That three-part harmony was perfection!

One of the best songs I've ever heard. The best cover of it ever
That performance deserves a Grammy!
Digger has the strongest voice in Bluegrass ! In my opinion
I believe the Cleverlys ace this number, and in my opinion does a much better job than Seldom Scene, especially in vocal blending. They hit it out of the park, keep up the good work!
