I ran the Toyo mt 40x15.50x26 on 26x14 with the tire at 65 psi, and the tread sags in the middle, making the tread wear on the outside twice as much as the inside, even with proper rotation. I talked to Toyo telling them there is an obvious flaw, and they replied saying their engineers say it's ok... Discount tire gave me an almost 50% credit on them for improper tread wear, and I swapped to the 42's with no issues. *If you run this tire set up on 26's I would only mount the Toyo mt 40 on a 26x12, and not a 14" wide. **You can still clearly see the sag in the middle of the tread in this video.
Truck looks great. I just stacked 2" spacers and an add a leaf on my 6" zone kit. Do the super dutys require driveshaft spacers at 8"? My splines are showing a good bit.
I have the 6.2 gas motor so the indexing ring isn't compatible apparently. I ordered a new drive shaft with double cardins to resolve the issue. Thanks for the info and great videos.
honeslty how does it ride? i went with a 24 inch wheel on 13.5s and running a superlift king coilover kit and the ride is HORRIBLE. looks awesome. but feels like a tank!
We do if they hang down farther than the shock mount, but if they are level with mount or less there really isn’t a benefit, plus cutting them will remove the e coat resulting in premature rust.

I stacked mine with a 2 inch leveling kit and changed the block in the back. Does anyone running this setup have problems with the front sway bar hitting the coil spring? Seems like a constant problem on mine even after correcting.
At 10” you need high steer, the front draglink can’t handle that angle. The caster also drops out of spec. I’m assuming you already changed the front driveshaft as that tears the boot pretty quickly without the combination of t case index and cv front driveshaft. Typically stacking these will pull the front axle over to the drivers side as well.
@@kimbalwright6972 all the details on what needs to be done are in the video. Did you have a specific question beyond what the video has already covered?
We move the bumper forward with 38s too, so that leaves us with 37s. Then we would have guys saying the tires are too small….lol. The way we see it is not everyone likes the same look, but if the customer is happy then we did our job.
We typically only trim them if they are lower than the shock mount. These are not the lowest point of the axle so no reason to trim unless the customer request it.
Love the 8inch lifts not too big not too small just right

@@BlakeReed18 I’ve seen that with wider wheels, but haven’t seen it wear the inside on this setup.
You think if it was a 7” with this wheel and tire set up I could make it work? Just a little more trimming?

You need a transfer case indexing kit for an 8” lift . Superduty driveshafts don’t like much angle . The boots will rip.

Shock extensions?

Kings tend to be on the stiff side, But anytime you’re running big wheels it’ll be stiffer compared to something like a 20” or 22” wheel.
Just out of curiosity, have you ever measured how high the power running board are off the ground?
No that’s not something we measure
nice video😍
Question, the U bolts in the rear, why don’t you cut off the excess bolt ?

Chevy guy 🙋🏽♂️ but Ford diesels are super nice

Do you prefer 4-link or Radius arms? Notice any big difference between the two?
4 link in the bigger kits. 6” and smaller the radius arm kits work just fine

Definitely not recommended to stack a level on top of this kit.

what else needed to be done to fit the 40s?

If you have to push the bumper out. You need a bigger lift. It doesn't look right.

Please trim the excess threads in the rear ubolts. Look awful when left long like that.

What's the offset of those wheels?
-76
