Hey everyone! In this video we journey through my favorite movie of all time, Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Using both the Hot Toys Terminator DX10 (clean look) and DX13 (battle damaged), we showcase 15 different poses that could be recognized from the film alongside the Resistance Leader John Connor by CGL Toys!

For me DX13 is still the best Hoy Toys ever Made, Robocop battle damaged the second best, great Arnold impressions Peter!

And yeah the John Connor figure is by a third party company called CGL Toys. Since it's unlicensed, the figure is called "Resistance Leader". Heads up it's been long sold out, very difficult to find these days.

- As I remember requesting this posing vid, I should thank you. T2 is in my top three movies and watching this made me smile. Poses are spot-on.
- I kind of liked Dark Fate too, though nostalgia may have had something to do with it also. I need to watch it again.

- Aww, the feelings are mutual. Thank you for requesting this video back then. Indeed T2 is still my #1 all time favorite film and I put a lot of thought / effort into the poses & voiceover since I wanted to do it justice, so your positive feedback brings me so much joy especially since it's coming from a fellow fan of the franchise 🥰🙏
- Regarding Dark Fate, yeah I think our nostalgic desire to see where the story continues may have put on bias-blinders for us haha. Not gonna lie I felt kinda sick when they did John dirty in the first few min of the film, but I kept an open mind throughout the film to let them run with it. It was entertaining, I'll give it that -- but after more than a year I can understand even better now why a lot of people really didn't like it which is fair.
- YESSS, I would love both a Sarah Connor and T-1000 remake. I still have yet to snag them since aftermarket prices are too high for me to justify 😭

@@PosingwithPeter Yes, John went in the way of the Newt ;). Btw, I did find the T-1000 few years back, relatively cheap, used, but in great condition. So keep hunting. ...And to further brag, I have a second original body and an original head. ...So what am I doing in here, when I should be posing, right? Hehe.

I think we just found ourselves the next Arnold Schwarzenegger this guy sounds a lot like him when he does the lines like “because you told me to” and “come with me if you want to live” and of course the famous catchphrase “I’ll be back”

Thanks! Funny enough I bought a black t-shirt for my Terminator DX-10, but the shirt arrived partially ripped and it left a bunch of black lint all over my figure's body and neck so I didn't use it. Got any particular brand or seller recommendations?

I bought one from the website ToyAnxiety but the t-shirt that I got in particular is no longer available (that website sells parts & accessories from figures that are broken down into individual bits and pieces so once an item on their site is sold, it’s gone for good). You can still try searching for a black tshirt on their site or eBay - it’s pretty much a gamble as to whether or not the black T-shirt you get will fit. Hope you find one though!
Too bad the john connor figure is impossible to find, and would be insanely priced if it did pop up. Nice vid!

I'm really glad you enjoyed the video! I doubt Hot Toys will reissue Terminator figures since the franchise isn't nearly as profitable with merchandising compared to Marvel / Star Wars.
The T-800 skeleton I showed at the end is the Hot Toys Endoskeleton from Terminator Genisys.
i need to get my hands on that "resistance leader" figure. can't even find one on evilbay :(
Oh wow, usually eBay has those hard-to-find figures albeit at the cost of an arm & leg 😅 That's insane if he's not even available there. Keep trying! I missed out on the first run of that figure but ended up getting mine on eBay maybe a year after the figure had come out, so just requires patience and a bit of luck!

Since this video, has the leather on either T-800 flaked or deteriorated? I’ve always wanted to buy one of these but am afraid of this.
Not yet, but it’s worth mentioning that I live in a low-humidity climate. I’ve seen people use 303 wipes to improve the longevity of these jackets but I personally haven’t done it. I hope that helps, and thanks for watching!

Hi Terry! I personally haven't swapped the heads but I have seen photos on Facebook -- they are indeed cross-compatible and based on the pics that I saw, the DX13's slightly-battle-damaged head looks pretty dang awesome on the DX10 body.

Thanks for your quick reply! Was thinking of buying the dx13 but prices on eBay are outrageous! Maybe I go for the dx10 or the mms version and buy a separate damaged head sculpt. Cheers mate

What stand is this? I know you mentioned “dynamic stand” but is there a specific brand? Thanks!
Hmm I tried searching Amazon and a few HK seller sites but it appears the diamond-shaped display base with dynamic pole that I use is no longer available to order.
Technically you can use any of the Hot Toys bases that include a bendable dynamic pole too - I deliberately remove the waist clamp to avoid damaging the leather/pleather outfit. Instead I just carefully wedged the pole in between his back and jacket to prop him up in some of these poses like when he’s walking with the shotgun or when he’s lifting one leg up.

Do you know if the dx13 jacket that is most intact will fit the dx10 figure?
I personally haven’t tried it myself but I’ve seen someone put the DX13 semi-damaged jacket onto a DX10 for a more weathered appearance so I think it’ll work. Just be careful since the DX13’s jackets are not real leather so it could peel or rip if you push too hard.

Any chance you'll be doing DX19 poses?
I’d love to, unfortunately that figure is not too posable, not much abdominal crunch and very stiff around the thighs. However I’ll be doing some kind of posing video or livestream for the InArt Joker when that arrives so I’ll very likely feature DX19 alongside for one or two poses.

Most of these figures are long sold out so I guess you can look on eBay for these Hot Toys Terminator figures 🤞🤑
Is that the genesis Endoskeleton?
Yeah, it’s a bit flimsy and feels super light-weight but it gets the job done.
