I watched this on VHS sooo many times as a teenager.
I recall every last image and sound of this video in HUGE detail!
I have no shame in admitting it.
Meat Loaf was a real guy hero to me who, along with his music has kept me alive!
If you dont like Meat Loaf - You dont GET Meatloaf.

To be fair, the VHS tape released of the show did have pretty bad sound.

Even by this point in his career he had already changed his vocal style. Belting every song every night just isn’t sustainable.

It most be disappointing deep down for fans who pay to see meatloaf live and realize that his voice is quite weak

To be fair, his voice did get much better than this throughout the next few years, this tour just wasn't his best.

Erm, nope. “Weak” is not a word I would ever associate with him. Saw him eight times between 2002 and 2013 and every time I came away astonished at his energy and power, and relieved that my teeth were still in their sockets.
‘81 and ‘82 weren’t his best years vocally, but he had to rebuild his voice from scratch after losing it entirely for over a year in ‘79 and ‘80. Would you judge (for example) Roger Federer’s entire career based on a few errant performances and losses after coming back from injury or surgery?
Even so, I’d still take Meat at 30% of his power over the thin, reedy, breathy warblers we’re stuck with nowadays.
