I was at this concert. He nailed it. His voice was as true as ever. What a concert. I was 14 when Bat out of Hell was released. He was my generation. RIP Meat.
It's really an incredible performance, watching all the vids from it His voice is strained, but he's leaning into it and it sounds so pained and honest
As a show this might have been good, but his voice is way off, and definitely not "...true as ever" - he is singing much, much lower than he used to (which is surprising in a way, because he occasionally goes into higher parts here, but often as harmonies, so maybe he just could not sustain singing the original melody lines in their original pitch. This might be because he lost his voice at one point shortly after the original 'Bat Out of Hell' tour. Same thing happened to Harry Nilsson - John Lennon (accidentally) blew Harry's voice (when J.L. was producing H.N.), and Nilsson's voice was never the same again.
Tonight we learned of your death. You were one of a kind. So great in your musical story telling. My husband and I loved your songs through out our lives. We are only 4 years younger than you, so we have followed you through your whole career. Rest In Peace Meat.
I've loved this big fella since i heard his first single/album.. he is a legend to me and always will be, doing this at this age is a feight.. but he can still do it! Have a listen to him singing with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra too.. it's amazing! RIP Meaty ❤️😢xx
Wow.. I've been watching and singing along to my dvd of Meat live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (2004) today.. it gets me every time! I know I've already said Meat is a legend.. but if you have not watched this before, do it! It is amazing how his music just fits an orchestra perfectly! Rip big fella, keep on rocking..❤️🎶
Patti Russo has the depth and maturity in her voice that the others don't . She has always been the , best one suited to Meat Loafs voice range . There is so much chemistry between Patti and Meat Loaf ,and it shows .
I used to listen to Meat Loaf at sunrise . I'd walk to the beach and do yoga as the sun came up over the ocean. Even though I was homeless at the time I was in Hawaii and I had Meat Loaf to keep me company. I've been on this Blue Marble 50 years and this is the first time I actually cried when a musician died.
I cried too, I didn't realize what a great singer and actor he was I rank him right up there with Elvis, and he could sing Elvis songs, just think now they are singing in a better place
Meat Loaf always closed a show saying "From our hearts to your souls never stop rocking"! Total devestation today hearing one of the biggest icons in history has passed. I thank God that I was born when I was to have enjoyed 40 years of Meat Loaf and over 30 shows with ticket stubs to prove it. Was lucky to meet him personally for a photo. ALL his shows from curtain open to close were full throttle balls to the wall. I have to return the favor to Mr. Meat Loaf "from my heart to your soul" rest in peace-- until we meet again and then when rock heaven like it aint never seen before.
For those of us loyal Meatloaf supporters... YOU are a rock and roll god😀😀👍👍. Please let us remember you they way we should, not like this...Thanks for the memories...

You were to young to leave us but guess " Heaven couldn't wait for you " you are now seeing paradise by the dashboard light & enjoying all the hot summer nights ahead of you. 💖💖🤘🤘
Meatloaf is a constant reminder of how grand and emotional rock can be. I'm so sad you have gone away dear sir, but I will always cherish the many moments of wonderment and tears that you brought into my life.
I keep watching Two out of three ain't bad" on here and I'm just weeping. I mean it's breaking me up. I was a teenager in the late 70's and this music was a big part of my life. Can't believe he's gone. Then you combine Meat Loaf with Patti Russo, you get pure greatness.
RIP Meatloaf My Dad introduced me to meatloaf. Some many memories I have involve his music. His music has gotten me through so tough times. A True Rock legend.
Rest in peace meatloaf always loved your music you will be missed by millions of fans may you be rocking no matter where you are this is one fan who would deeply miss you
Completely shocked and saddened by Meat's passing. Aside from loving his music, I loved watching his joy when he was with the Ghost Hunters group. A great man.
I loved his music I bought every one of his albums on cassette tapes. I put him with Freddy Mercury, and Pink Floyd. I will always remember and listen to them until I die. 1970-80 rock in roll will live forever.
So great to see this. Meat Loaf was the soundtrack to my senior year in high school and beyond. I absolutely love his great 'background' band and he loved them. RIP Mr Aday. 🙂

I said meatloaf needs to be in the rock and roll hall of fame but I left someone out. Jim Steinmann wrote meats hits he belongs right there with meatloaf. He wrote the songs and meat brought them to life.

He was so normal and nice not to mention a great ball player. He had coached baseball in a local school and lived in my town though at the time I didn’t know that. He was aces. ❤
I'm not a die-hard Meat Loaf fan but having stumbled across this recently I've found myself watching it over and over again. Outstanding performance by the Neverland Express. Don't think I could ever tire of hearing Two outta Three aint bad, Ginny and Justin are amazing!
