    Stuffed Pepper Soup Recipe
    • 1 lb Ground beef, lean
    • 1 Cilantro
    • 2 cloves Garlic
    • 2 tbsp Olive oil
    • 1 Green bell pepper
    • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
    • 1/4 tsp Oregano, dried
    • 1 Red bell pepper
    • 2 (15-oz) cans Tomatoes, fire-roasted
    • 1 Yellow onion, small
    • 5 cups Broth
    • 1 (15-oz) can Tomato sauce
    • 1 cup White rice, long grain
    • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
    • 1/2 tsp Black pepper, freshly ground
    • 2 tbsp Chili powder
    • 1 tsp Kosher salt
    • 1/2 tsp Paprika
    • 1 tsp Cumin, ground
Saute the veggies: Cook the onion and bell peppers in a large pot over medium-high heat until they’re soft and translucent. Then add the garlic.
Brown the beef: Add ground beef to the same pot along with the seasonings. Use a wooden spoon to break up the meat and cook until it’s browned.
Bring it to a boil: Add in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, and uncooked rice. Then give the soup a stir and bring it up to a boil. Once it boils, reduce the heat to low, cover it with a lid, and simmer for 20 minutes.
    *I cooked my rice separately

It is wonderful most of the time, but it's definitely got some quirks. Harvest Right was pretty fair and decent with making things right. It's hard because there aren't any local repairmen trained to work on them. I was fortunate that it was under warranty so they paid to ship it back to them to repair. (It wound up being something that required them to send me a different one)

I love your channel and the video's you post. I don't have enough room for a big garden but last year was my first try at a small garden in pots. I grew cherry tomatoes, chili peppers, lettuce and green bell peppers. Everything grew well except for the bell peppers..unfortunately I only have room to grow small amounts. I did try canning last year as well just visit a local farm and bought produce from them in bulk to can. I can't wait to try this soup my family will love it and I will make a vegetarian option for myself.
I hope you make video's of you making your other soups. Have a great day and many blessings.

You can grow a lot of things in containers. Before we moved to the farm I had two small raised beds and some grow bags. That produced a lot of food. Canning food from local farmers is great. Our peach trees didn't produce enough to can, so I bought a bunch from a local farm. Have fun gardening this year.

Becky from Acre Homestead peeled and put her garlic in the food processor to mash it up. She then froze it in small "pucks" she made with a small cookie scoop. She had garlic that wasnt storing well and this was a successful way of preserving it, and using it too.

Harvest Right is the original consumer freeze drier but not "the only game in town." I had a horrible experience with them, never worked out of the box, and returned it three weeks later. I bought a Stay Fresh and have had it about 14 months with not one problem. There are also 4Patriots and The Cube brands.

I've never heard of those brands. Are they more responsible priced? I'll look into them in case the Harvest Right has a lot more issues.

Can you do a video on how you make your beef broth?

Unfortunately I've used all of the beef bones from last fall's beef, but I'll make a note to do one when we harvest the next beef this fall. I love having our homemade beef bone broth on hand.

I am an introvert to, much worse than you I am sure. And I remember I came to your farm stand and your husband came out all wanting to be friendly. I stared at him in disbelief!! I was confused! Because everyone's face is stuck in their phone now. I was taken aback to be sure. But your videos have calmed me down from my institutionalized way of thinking. And you don't want to use white rice in that. White rice is stripped out of its nutrition, the color white is telling you that. You picked a better kind to go with.

Yep, that's my husband. He's always wanting to chat with everybody. There have been times that I see people at the stand and ask him to go out since he loves it so much. It's just out of my comfort zone to just approach people I don't know and get all chatty. ☺️

@@waardenburgfamilyfarm4764 Well I am going to make this soup. I am going to add mung beans to make it vegan. ANd I have marina sauce from Leaf farm that I got at the Carlisle farmers market. I will use that. Thank you for the beautiful content and your happy dispositions. Your husband always asks you questions that have popped into my head at the exact same time he asks you them!!
