      A bit late but after just purchasing a 2019 Allure standard length I really appreciate your videos. Sold my VW T5 as was getting too old and after lockdown to common..so looking for a better upgrade for a day van camper that is not stupidly as expensive as a Caravelle. Cheers

    Great reviews Ben! I was going for a VW Caravelle and suddenly came across these Travellers. Local Peugott dealer has given me a good initial deal on the Business VIP so just deciding if I'm going to leap to the Peugeot stable!...

    Hi,
    Do you have a problem with the front part of the rear parcel shelf collapsing down if the seat backs from the 3rd row are not resting against it? This is something we have found on our new Spacetourer? Thanks

  • @CHEESECAKECOLIN

    if reference to my question below, to clarify, have you used this system for keeping the cabin cosy when the engine is not running or to heat the cabin before use on a frosty morning? cheers.

    It sounds like the flexible pipe on the heater under the car. Maybe expanding with the heat once it gets up to temperature. It stops making the noise.

    Hi Ben, thank you very much for your next review! Hope the crackling noise is just a negligible problem and vanish soon... Looking forward to your next update. Jana

      Someone replied on my blog with this..
      confirmed with a Peugeot mechanic that it is normal and other models do the same thing. Apparently the aux heater only kicks in below 5° and if you switch off the engine before the engine temp reaches 70° (normal running is 90)
      the heater will crackle. It’s possible that the small amount of fuel used to run the heater hasn’t been burnt and may be passing over the hot element causing the crackle. Which would explain why if the engine gets up to temperature the heater just goes off quietly!
      Would like to know if anyone else can confirm this?

      Hi Ben, thanks. My husband and I read through your blog yesterday so we've already read this. Our car is ordered (since August) and the manufacture still not moving. However, we will contact a friend of ours (owner of Citroen Spacetourer) and come back to you with his experience. Is the auxiliary heating optional or part of every car? By the way, thanks to your post, we've started to think about using our old car for commuting to nursery (only 2km away from our home) and using the Peugeot for farther trips...

    • @100benih
      @100benih  6 лет назад

      Hi Jana - The heater is standard, the noise doesn't happen all time only when very cold. The Traveller is our only car, we use it for everything. Hope the manufacturing issues get sorted and your car delivered soon.

    • @janahorynova2823
      @janahorynova2823 6 лет назад

      Thanks Ben for the info. I understand that the problem is only with the cold engine. I'll come back to you with the info from the Citroen owner. May I ask if you use your car also for very short trips?

    • @janahorynova2823
      @janahorynova2823 6 лет назад

      Hi Ben, the friend of ours has a different type of aux. heating - it is powered by air (it was fixed into the car later). However, he said that it's normal for this type of heating (I mean the crackling), that more people with the same car and same heating has the same "problem"... No big news for you:( sorry!

  • @CHEESECAKECOLIN

    great reviews Ben, I pick mine up in two days, same spec as yours.
    I am wondering about the secondary heating and ventilation system which runs off the diesel tank, this I believe is the very same as used in small campervans to keep it cosy in the winter without the engine running, have you used it yet? and did you get the extra key fob that operates it from over half a mile away?

    • @100benih
      @100benih  6 лет назад

      I don’t know why it’s fitted tbh. When the engine goes off so does there heater systems, I can only assume its for maintaining heat when in stop/start mode. I got 2 fobs, both work about 30 meters away. Enjoy the car.

    HI Ben, I was wondering about the flappy paddles. I read in the manual that you can use them even without pressing the M button on the selector panel, so you can for instance lower the gear to overtake more easily. The manual also states that this is only temporary and that the car then switches back to auto mode after a short period. Can you confirm if this is true? What is your take on the flappy padles? Do you use them?

    • @100benih
      @100benih  6 лет назад

      I can confirm this is true. I have only used them once during a steep hill climb in Scotland other than that I just dust them every so often ;)

    • @100benih
      @100benih  6 лет назад +1

      I don’t have any complaints from my kids. We don’t have any travel related sickness from the rear most like we did in the Smax and Q7. The sheer space from the headroom and light (from the pano roof) help a lot.

    Peugeot have always had a problem with there doors freezing in cold temperatures. I had a 308 and that did the same. Don't accept any excuses from them as there is no excuse for this. No other make of car suffers from this so tell them to get it sorted.

    How is ventilation for all rear seating areas?

    • @100benih
      @100benih  6 лет назад +2

      It's better that some cars, remember the standard and long have fixed windows so ventilation is important (no windows, no opening sunroof). There are 6 aircraft style vents that blow a gentle breeze overhead, and 2 larger floor vents blast the back passengers when you turn up the heating/fan dials located on the roof. The controls are separate from the front.
