Robert, Thoroughly enjoy your travels. You show the best and unfortunately that includes the worst (homelessness, a blight on so many cities). Question? I watched your 30 th anniversary video that answered so many thoughts I had about your history. Did you write and perform your theme song and also the background music to your videos. I was born in Port Angeles and noe live near Bremerton, across Puget Sound From Seattle so your latest videos meant a lot to many. Thankful your parents brought you to Miami. You are a treasure to our country.

Robert great tour of Seattle. Surprised grade of roads, like San Fran. Yes images of tent city and homeless sprawled on sidewalks aren’t a PR the city promotes. But I hope you include these areas and people on all your tours because its real and worthy of coverage. Let viewers decide if its a deterrent to visit or prepared in advance something they will encounter. Tks & Mt Rainer is stunning.

My mother and I spent a month on the road back in 1980. Seattle was the first big city we stayed two days in...August is definitely the best weather month there. We had dinner the first night in the revolving restaurant in the Space Needle. It was a perfectly clear early evening, and not only did we see Mt. Rainier but were also treated to a secondary eruption from Mt. St. Helens to the south. Three months after the first, the plains of eastern Washington were still covered with gray volcanic ash. We also spent time that trip in San Francisco and New Orleans. We were mostly occupied with national parks and natural wonders. I loved our all-to-brief time in Seattle, which is probably the city I most want to re-visit at some time. Thanks for the wonderful video! Looking forward to Vancouver and maybe some palm trees along English Bay?

If you want to see the most amazing view of Mt. Rainier, wait for a clear day (obviously) and drive east on Highway 410 going from Sumner to Bonney Lake. You drive up a hill just before you get to Bonney Lake and BOOM!!! Right when you get to the top of the hill, the mountain looks so close you feel like you're going to actually run into it. It's worth the drive.

Great Video! I have lived in Seattle for 45 years and it's great to see our fair city in the eyes of a visitor. Sorry you missed the action on Alki beach. During sunny afternoons the beach is packed, and over 18 places to eat and drink along 6 blocks of Alki Avenue SW. On your next trip, visit the International District, Seattle Art Museum, and the Seattle Aquarium.

Yes! Well sanctuary cities all have homeless, drug addicts and probates living in encampments NOT camping living there, no bathrooms etc. To me, stay away and watch out. Also Pikes Market looked busier than I've ever seen it. My grandfather's name was Ivar, straight from Sweden, but honestly Ivar's Restaurant is nothing but fast food, and that Dicks foods looked like a greasy bomb. The Space needle looks like it is newly innovated, as I don't recall walking out on the glass. That city looks as busy as ever, and I'm glad you had a good time there. Nice video once again....Also if you are interested in art and Native American Art that museum you passed with the large moving sculpture of a man in orange, that art museum has the best displays of the Native Northwestern American Indian art, history is fun. I enjoyed the museums you went to in this video too. Thanks again for all the fun!

Definitely my favorite video from Traveling Robert, back in October 2019 when I visited Seattle I kept saying that Traveling Robert needs to visit Seattle & do a video....one AWESOME thing about Seattle is that it's a twofold city....meaning that alot of people say it's best to visit during the summer & alot of people say during the winter....I myself wanna go back again in October or between October & early December.... it's just so magical during the cold season & the beautiful foliage colors outside, the entire city of Seattle & Bellevue are AMAZING....plenty of great video to be shot in this place.

A couple of suggestions for your next trip to the Emerald City, you should check out Snoqualmie Falls which is only about 1/2 hour from downtown Seattle, a pretty spectacular waterfall. Also check out Mt. Rainier National Park where you can view Mt. Rainier up close and personal instead from afar!

A great video! I really appreciate all the street footage, which is something those high-dollar TV travel shows seldom provide. If anyone is planning on visiting Seattle, one of the very best attractions is the Boeing museum. I'm not an airplane fan but still consider it one of the best visits to be had in Seattle. And it is in a low-traffic area. Also, take some ferry rides.

Robert, thank you so much for the iconic tour of Seattle. I moved away in 2011, and wow there have been a lot of nice changes. Making me homesick. Now that I am a full time rv'r I will be heading back to visit my friends in Seattle once the coronavirus allows such. Thank you for the tour.

#182 Good morning, Robert. Thank you for showing me Seattle. When I was in the area, I avoided the city center. Did you know that "John Wayne's" yacht, MV Wild Goose, was built at the Ballard Marine RR Co. Shipyard during WWII (1943) as the US Navy Minesweeper YMS-328. It still exist at Newport Beach, Cal. Hornblower Cruises.

Hahahahaha People camping in a city park. That’s what happens when you have a city government like the ones in Seattle. I am glad you enjoyed Seattle. I wish I would’ve ran into you. Happy travels through the state.

With that much money in the city and so much homelessness does not say much for the Democrat Party that is in charge. What a shame the city can find a place for them.

Up the hill, behind the piano, is the Steelhead Café. The food is fabulous. Back behind the fish bar, out on the balcony, is a tiny restaurant called Place Pigalle. Anthony’s Homeport is good, but if you go a bit south to Redondo, you can eat at Salty’s (great mussells). The high school in Des Moines is named Mount Rainier High School and on clear days you can see the mountain. If you make your way out here again, let me know and I will enhance your visit. Great video Robert! Thanks!

It was interesting to watch your impression of my town. The homeless situation is a big problem here. It is almost always drugs and the progression from bad to worse drugs that causes the condition. Drug use that ruined their jobs, families, health, and the refusal to stop taking them that facilitated their own downfall onto the street. You drove right past places I've lived a couple times. Funny thing is I was at CamperCon in Vancouver, while you were in Seattle and I was back in Seattle when you were in Vancouver. Also, I was working down near Des Moines where you were eating at Anthony's. If I'd known you were coming to town, I'd have baked a cake. Perhaps somewhere on the road in the future. Take care...

We have the same issue in Philadelphia. There are some truly homeless men downtown, but I would say 95 % or more of our "homeless" are junkies.

@@suedefringe Sadly the truth is, when people deflect saying its a lost job, family problems, mental health issues, etc.... It's drugs did that. It's almost always because of drugs and the insatiable appetite for more drugs.

Thank you for your video rush through Seattle, including "light and dark". Places with a lot of money also have a lot of poverty. Here in Europe we are a little behind, but we are catching up fast on either side. - I also visit big(ger) cities on Sundays only: Allow the locals to drive to the countryside so that we tourists can enjoy the city sights! - Greetings from Bavaria, Germany.

The cardboard lady holding the this way sign to the observation deck of Smith tower was the fabulous silent film star Mabel Normand. It also looks like she was standing next to William Desmond Taylor shown as a huge picture in the old artifact room. Look both names up. Their stories are fascinating.

You are the best tour guide. I am enjoying traveling around with you and your girlfriend. My favorites are anything on the coast. But I really liked Mount Dora. I'm glad you brought up the homeless crisis that is sweeping our nation. More and more of the wealth of our nation is moving UP to the already rich and so many people are living on less and less. Some jobs are outsourced to other countries. While many workers are being replace by automation and technology. There is such a sense of hopelessness for many in our country, which causes some to turn to drugs. And one major illness can bankrupt a family. It is tragic.
