Purchased a Winnebago micro Minnie 1 year ago, nothing but problems with it. We went to use it after it had already been in for service several times. While it was still in the 1 year warranty period we traveled to the beach, we’ll guess what another issue, the slide out would not open, we called Winnebago and they said as long as we are not stuck and it can be driven we need to bring it for service. Well we lost our week at the beach. Service took from May to August to have repaired. Basically the season. We reached out to Winnebago to see if they would extend out warranty and they offered to consider any issues we may have for 4 months. Well 4 months is the winter season when it is stored. I must say even that have no confidence in their product! I even reached out to a manager and no better resolution. I would not recommend Winnebago in any way shape or form. We would give a no star rating to Winnebago period!
Be forewarned on purchasing their product. Not a quality product to say the least! Will be advising everyone on the disappointing and terrible product Winnebago produces

Tanks inside = terribly unsafe, sleeping or not. Full tanks can blow off excess propane if they get warm enough. The only way to safely have them 'inside' is in a compartment sealed away from the interior and a 4" vent through the floor.

    Couple of thoughts…
Never ever leave a propane tank in an enclosed space, *if* it leaks and ignites it’ll blow up everything.
I’d never put my generator on the back like that for a few reasons; the back of a trailer sucks dust forward as you go down the road so its going to fill every nook and cranny inside the case, and if it loosens up and tumbles through somebody’s windshield you’re f’d for not securing your load.
(RV tires not usually balanced, no shock absorbers, those gens are getting a crap ride, same for the straps holding them.

Good video. We purchased our 2021 Micro Minnie 2108DS in March of this year. Based on your video of useful measurements it looks like you have the same issue we had with the dinette seat cushions being too wide. This would prevent the dinette being used as a bed. Winnebago Towables replaced ours with the correct ones. Additionally, it appears that your backsplash was cut too wide (rippling at the entrance door side). We pulled the bottom of the backsplash out (only an inch or two from the end), heated (low heat) with a heat gun and trimmed with a razor knife. Fits perfect now. If you would like additional details and photos I will be more than glad to share.

      This is for JoanABridge. OPPs!!!!
Sounds to me like your biggest problem is with the Winnebago Management. Things break all the time, that’s why you go on a shake-down trip, hopefully in Winter or Spring.
You have been treated horribly by Winnebago! If you want loyal customers you ask them what would make the
      This situation tolerable.
If within reason, DO IT! LOYAL CUSTOMERS WILL UPGRADE AND ONLY BUY YOUR PRODUCT.
Sounds to me like Winnebago could use a Shake-Down Tour On how to keep a customer for life!!!
I love Winnebago’s and grew not that far from where they manufacture them. They were an awesome company yrs ago!!! Sounds like they have lost the “common touch” in Customer Relations,!!!!!
I’m so sorry this happened to you! And don’t blame you in the least. You have been mistreated on a VERY expensive purchase!!! Shame on them!!

Thanks so much for this video! Would you recommend a slide out cover? Also, do you see value in an extended warranty? The dealership sold me one but I am thinking of cancelling because it was very expensive (over $3000 for 4 years) and I still have a $200 deductible per incident.

Question: What is your tongue weight as you have set up?
I love what you have done. I haven't bought a 2100BH like you have but it is at the top of my list.
We think alike....I have the same Inverter/genny that you have WITH the same cable and masterlock. The magna pots are already on my list.
They make motion detector alarms you can put on your Champions to keep secure along with motion cameras with alarms that you can mount on the sides of the Minnie.
I also will switch to 30lb tanks also as I will be mostly boondocking on BLM ground. I will use the area under the lowest bunk to house 400 AH Lithium batteries along with a Victron Multi Plus inverter/charger.
I have a older Toyota Tundra in perfect condition and I think it will pull the 2100BH with no problem. I have the tow package which gives me 7300 Lbs towing and a light 1330 Lbs cargo capacity. That's why I'm so interested in your tongue weight. I'm considering adding a truck topper which would be 200 Lbs. So the tongue weight is a concern. I am also looking at the Anderson WDH as it has great reviews!
    Glad I found your videos!

Hello, thanks for the great tips; we just bought 2100BH.
For the backup cameras, did you hook up the red and white wire of the camera to the preinstalled Wisight wire, which is red and black, without pulling other cables from the back of the panel?

    • @colungafamily2013
      @colungafamily2013  2 года назад

Yes that is what I did. I cut off the connector and directly wired in the wires. I checked for correct voltage via a multimeter. The only downside is that you have to force the lights on (as opposed to having them on automatic) from the tow vehicle for the camera to turn on.

Several things wrong with your set-up. Some are not upgrades, some unsafe, and some completely unnecessary. We have that same trailer and have enjoyed many months traveling in it. First, the 2 propane tanks at the tongue will last a very long time (several months), no need to add more, and definitely unsafe to store inside the trailer. Second, there is a solar panel on the roof. Most campgrounds have power, but even parked at primitive places (which we do often) we’ve always had plenty of power for our lights and the propane is more than enough for the refrigerator. We camp in northern states in summer as well as camp a lot in cooler months in the south. Therefore, generators are an unnecessary expense, especially 2! Third, any RV mechanic or honest sales person will tell you to never attach anything to the bumper. Any weight additions should be attached to the frame. Fourth, stabilizer bars would be safer, stronger, and a much better item to spend your money on than chains. We have enjoyed our Minnie 2100bh many days for many trips. Hope you have as much pleasure with yours. Keep it simple and you will!
